Creel, Chihuahua - The Attorney General of Chihuahua is searching for members of the Sinaloa cartel after the national coverage of a video which shows gunmen who take control of the town of Creel and undertake a massacre in which eight people were executed.
A month after the incident the Attorney General Patricia Gonzalez Rodriguez released the identity of the leader of the assassins that for more than an hour blocked access to the tourist town of Creel and massacred eight people, including two women.
The leader identified as Enrique López Acosta, "El Cumbias", was identified from an examination of one of the public security cameras that had been placed in the village, after an a previous slaughter that occurred on August 2008 and in which 13 people were killed.
Investigations were also initiated against state and municipal police officers who were in the area monitoring the incident but failed to act to protect the victims.
