Mexico City – Mexico's
federal police arrested a pair of U.S. citizens after finding more than
two tons of marijuana in their vehicle in the northwestern state of
Sinaloa, officials said.
The suspects
were riding on the Mexico City-Nogales highway when they got into an
accident between the town of Los Mochis and the border with the
neighboring state of Sonora.
The federal
police requested the assistance of medical personnel and then discovered
a secret compartment in the roof where 962 packets containing more than
two tons of marijuana had been stashed.
The
driver of the white Ford motorhome was identified as 38-year-old Eric
Michael Kubek while the other passenger was 46-year-old Rhonda Marie
Glick.
Both identified themselves as U.S. citizens who live in San Diego, California.
After
they received medical treatment, the two were taken into custody and
the U.S. consulate in the Sonoran city of Hermosillo was notified of the
arrests.
This is old already
ReplyDeleteDon't get mixed up in this shit. In the end it will catch up to you every time. Enjoy your 20 year stay in Mexican prison.
ReplyDeleteWOW THERE ARE NOT COMMENTS JAJAJA POBRES BURRITOS
ReplyDeleteAt least the Mexican Federales were kind enough to leave their dog with them.. in the US they could give a shit!
ReplyDeleteI feel more sorry for the dog.
ReplyDelete790
Hmmm... Could the puppy have a belly full of cocaine?
ReplyDeleteLmao!! She looks like shes about to shit her paints!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of F' weed. Too late to be crying now lady. I don't think that what you did was necessarily bad but it is a stupid fool's law created by a bunch of lame old ass politicians who are still not ready to pull out their heads from their big hairy asses and wake up and start thinking progressively and legalize marijuana for the betterment of the economy. Instead, these dumb ignorant politicians keep hanging on to 'dem traditional amurican values that don't work for shit anymore.
ReplyDeleteAt least there in mex and have a chance to get out with some mulla$$..they would be royally fucked in the states
ReplyDeleteThe Gringo's are supposed to get the weed AFTER it comes across the border, not drive it over in an RV!! Don't they watch old Cheech and Chong movies? If they are from San Diego, why didn't they just go to the local dispensery and buy all they can smoke (or better yet, eat)?! Idiots. Never trust a white lady in her 50's who has a small dog and wears tie-die shirts. Your either going to get fucked or stoned, but never fucking stoned!!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder who will keep their dog...I feel bad for him.
ReplyDeleteNow they have to worry about the people who own the weed.
ReplyDeleteThat is a Bigger problem....:((((
Definite tweakers, either commissioned to do this to repay a debt, or compensation, maybe more likely some sort hail mary last chance/all in scenario, laid out by some low level associate (from San Diego) who had family in Sinaloa. Can't think anyone with sense would think these two would make it thru multiple states like that.
ReplyDeleteLOL look at her face jajaja godamn! And the dog straight big chillen ;)
ReplyDeletegood thing they were caught by police an not by rivals
ReplyDeleteahuevo ajulio... but morality of legalization aside, these two do look pretty fucking dumb..
ReplyDeleteamen Ajulio
ReplyDeletebetter call the whole family...it is gonna take a hell of a bribe to get out of this...not to mention these two will be held up as poster children as the evil gringo who is destroying innocent Mexico...real cool move exlax..
two tons in the roof of an RV...must have one hell of a strong roof
boycott mexican blood pot...grow your own
secure our borders..no contraband in..no contraband out
Stupid Hippies. Have Fun in Panchos Prison
ReplyDeleteThey must be REALLY STUPID to be caught by the Mexcian Police. I thought the Grateful Dead never visted Mexico????
ReplyDeleteThe law caught up with them. The law of physics. The top heavy vehicle was probably all over the road before leaving it. I'm glad the bad guys didn't get them.
ReplyDeleteAnyway that U look at it, estan jodido. A diversion, perhaps? Well, maybe she can snack on the dog.
ReplyDeleteAgain, evident to the fact that the U.S. fuels this Drug War more and more each day.
ReplyDeleteWere they serious? To think it would be safe to be in Mexico? To pack tons of maryjane in their little motorhome and not get caught?
Things happen for a reason, I guess it was better the officials than the cartels.
These are two meth heads who were forced into it or offered more drugs if they did. But I bet u a million dollars the pot was grown and packed by a Mexican, both us and Mexico are guilty u can't blame one for the others problems.plain and simple take some ownership of whats going on in your country stop pointing fingers other people it will leave u with a Mexico like we see today
ReplyDeletePoor dog :-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe they sold those idiots actual grass. Maybe some folks put bets on how far those fools would get.
ReplyDeleteAs an American citizen, I say keep them and make an EXAMPLE out of them. They are part of the problem. Unfortunately at their age they have probably already bred more dumb asses. Kume Ba Yah MF. And your little dog too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke 2 tons of marijuana in the ROOF? Hahahahahaha who is gonna to believe that big LIE? hahahahaha poor gringos gonna pay for others.
ReplyDeleteIf you can't take the heat get out the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
That guy has been on a 6 year run of ice. She is a flake from the early 60s. He looks 10 years younger. Looks like she probably recently got an inheritance and he was going to show her what to do with it.
ReplyDeleteDo you think she started rolling on him at the scene to the first officer that could speak English or did she wait until they got to the station.
I bet the connection was laughing when they pulled away while they called the police to make arrangements for the split. In the 80s and 90s this could be pulled off. Since 2006, no way.
LOL, in the second photo it looks like she is saying "Do you think they are going to let us go?" Or, "can we make bond?"
Wow, that is one way for a couple of addicts to give all their money to a cartel, huh?
Two more deceased victims of the "drug war". Her face says it all. She knows what`s next. It used to be the worst thing in Mexico that could happen to a gringo was jail, now that would seem like a godsend compared to losing two thousand pounds of Sinaloan weed. Heads will roll, literally. Stupid is as stupid does, and I`ve always said "You can`t fix stupid".
ReplyDeletenot feeling too sorry about this situation except for the dog
ReplyDeleteHe must of let her do the driving; that's why they got in the accident. I know if it was me driving a "War" Wagon full of weed in Sonora
ReplyDeleteNo less; I'd have been packing and in another vehicle right behind the "War Wagon" not driving. And rest assured; it wouldn't be some
middle age Hippie Chick driving!
to the person who took the time to articulate his op that this is old news...well my friend it is news to me and I appreciate the post and the work it takes to bring news to the blog.
ReplyDeleteChamuko in a very short time you have become my fave BB reporter. Don't lose your enthusiasm..and ignore ignorant, self indulgent comments such as the first on this thread.
as for this lovely couple, I agree with you J, def tweakers. The female looks years older than her stated age and looks like she is missing a slew of teeth....YUK
1:39 PM...Sorry, I don't think Sinaloa would put 2 tons of weed belonging to the Sinaloans' in these clowns hand to drive through Mexico and get it to the US. And if it were Sinaloan weed, in their plaza, they would have it back shortly. These two clowns got scammed.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of protection do you think a cartel would put on a shipment with a minimum value of a half a million dollars. One way or another, these idiots bought it or some dumb ass in the US financed them.
the weed could have been fronted because cartels work on a credit basis...thats a reason there is so much dead bodies. Also this could be the work of independent traffickers hence the bust. Cartels would have moved it anywhere with no problem through "arrangements". There is no way these lowlifes gringos came up with enough cash to pay for two tons. It is almost unheard of for people to pay for weed in mexico. drugs usually make it into the u.s. before any transaction has occured.
ReplyDeleteEither way tho an investor somewhere usually in culiacan is pissed...but hey at least it wasnt the 175 tons captured in CHOIX sinaloa last year or the historic baja bust..which by the way was estimated at well over 500 tons..both were sinaloas..wow mother earth provides plenty
They were bound to get caught, it just surprises me it was the Federales. It probably surprised the Federales were surprised themselves. Even if they got through everywhere else the would certainly get caught in Benjamin Hill at the large military checkpoint. At that location they use xray machines and other methods. If they were a part of a cartel or gang movement of the drugs they would have been protected in some fashion. They might have been used as bait. Their life is going to be miserable for some time to come.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin got caught in los mochis along time ago. Soldiers beat him up pretty good. Things are good now, and they made a corrido for him called aledido gonzalez
ReplyDelete@1:39 PM you wrote: "Two more deceased victims of the "drug war". Her face says it all. She knows what`s next. ReplyDeleteYou mean FOUR thousand pounds of Sinaloan weed! Two tons. That's probably what you meant.
Think about it though, what kind of modifications would have to be made to put that much weight into the roof of an RV? Typically the roofs are not made to hold a lot of excessive weight. I suppose it could be done by stripping the interior and reinforcing everything.
Also, as was pointed out - it would possibly make the vehicle harder to control and possibly very dangerous in sharp and poorly constructed curves due to being top heavy.
does this mean I gotta pay more for weed
ReplyDeleteThe picture says it all. The laws make criminals out of normal people. They are just stupid hippies trying to do some business. I would not be afraid of her if I met her. Nor him. I'd want to get out of there, but not because I'd be scared. I'd be surprised if they could spell their names. I'd be afraid of a Zeta if I met him.
ReplyDeleteWithout our stupid politician driven laws, neither the "lost in space" hippies, or the blood thirsty Zetas would be given their respective platforms. They'd just be the same sad idiots they always have been, and always will be, except without me feeling terrified to walk down my street, and without me having to pay my dwindling resources for that type of public service.
Legalize, bring it on board, manage it in society, tax it, and reduce the crime by 70%, and restore some peace, at a stroke of a pen. I think it will happen soon.
So two tons in the roof of a motor-home..... Really? How big was this motor-home that they could carry an elephant on it?
ReplyDelete7:44 PM...I don't know but the elephant turned it over.
ReplyDeletethe mexicans will kill the dog and BBQ it.
ReplyDeleteellos nos dan armas para que nos matemos nosotros les mandamos drogas y mota para que se vuelvan locos.y estamos a mano.
ReplyDeletehow does this make u guys look jaja
ReplyDeleteThe Mexicans are going to use that silly hippy shirt to kill the dog and make tacos with salsa Verde
ReplyDelete@3:33 AM and 10:43 PM
ReplyDeletethe rednecks will make it into a stew, mixed in with squirrels and racoon sausages, and call it gumbo.
