Four gunmen dead after Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon gunfight
A shootout between gunmen and a Mexican Army unit left four men dead and one woman critically injured in the municipality of Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, located about 50 miles south of the Texas border.
The incident ocurred Tuesday morning at a ranch, La Cañada Honda, 3 kilometers from the highway to Miguel Aleman when the Army unit patrolling the rural roads in the area surprised the armed group.
It was not known if the injured woman, who was airlifted to a Monterrey hospital, lived at the ranch or was a kidnapping victim.
Several weapons and vehicles were seized by the Army.
