Sicarios Ambush Federal Police

Borderland Beat

Three videos of a firefight between organized crime and federal police after the federal police where ambushed in Barranca Seca, Michoacan de Ocampo.

Lately the federal police and military have been involved in clashes with organized crime in around Michoacan. The Knights Templar are fighting hard for control of Michoacan. Some federal patrols have been ambushed and many officers have been killed in the last couple months. The "comunitarios" or communty police have taken arms and many have been killed also, mostly abducted and executed, but at times is hard to tell who is who. This must be very difficult for law enforcement to attempt to tell who are the good guys when large groups of men are patrolling while heavily armed on the outline areas of Michoacan.

Very little information is coming out of the region and it's hard to tell exactly what is happening. We are all relying on social networks like Facebook and Twitter to try to get as much information as possible.

  4. It is heating up in the entire region. The grupos are battling for market share by sequestration of opponents, killing a few and scaring the rest. Once friends now enemies. Not a resort destination. Most people are ordinary, just want the opportunity to work. The ones who do not smile and wave back, be concerned.

  5. Mas Cuidado, Mas Cuidado yelled the local people in the back of a dump truck with metal walls. They carried single shot shotguns and single shot .22 rifles. Their village had just had about a dozen and a half people associated with one groupo kidnaped by another groupo. The groupos themselves though carried brand new M-16 rifles, new cartridge belts, viet nam era camo pants and t-shirts and boonie hats. The biggest give away that they did not use these armaments everyday was the newness look to it. So, the next day when asked what happened, Senor Soy se conoces nada. Ayer, an anonamous phone call says, you have one hour to get everybody out. Stay out for at least 2 days, esta mala noche. This shit is just east of Michoacan in the land of Tierra Caliente where you have to speed shift to get around the mt roads without stalling the engine. Nobody in the U.S. gets it. This is heating up and the Mexican people deserve the right to arm themselves. The people in the U.S. also don't get the idea that most of central america is a failed groupo state and just where is Mexico? Mexico does not need drones or u.s. nada. The people of Mexico need to be able to own and use arms for themselves. I do not know the future. From this vantage it does not look good.

  9. Apparently CT is claiming PF presence is facilitating the entrance into Mich of CJNG ; thus, the reason for increased attacks by CT on PF and PC. I don't know, I think Tuta and Tio are putting themselves in a tight corner. CJNG is a cartel that can present a threat to all other cartels. This group is really Nacho Coronel's old crew with it's base in what used to be the base of Felix Gallardo's, Caro Quintero's, and Don Neto's
outfit : El Cartel de Guadalajara.

    1. Actually nacho coronels old crew is a cartel which recently surfaced known as la corona which I believe is led by his nephew. This cartel was made in response to the cjng which were very strong. But since the split with cds. Things ain't turning out so well for cjng. Don't get me wrong there strong still but I don't know how long they have before they start going weak. Peace!

    1. CT is doing it for a reason. Not just because..... cjng has bought out the police, to intrude into CT territory. But templarios are not letting it happen that's why they revolted against the policia. And if I'm correct even the mayors of certain towns are bought

  19. good clear video...does not seem like their aim is great with all the trees & dense foliage looks like they just step out & do as much shooting as possible in the enemy direction they can hear then step back behind the truck. Wonder if the truck tires ever get shot out or not? please post more of these videos like this if possible

  22. listening to the video , and having shot large bore rifles for most of my life , Im not hearing incoming rounds in this video. All you can hear is outgoing. The rate of fire of the police is not enough to subdue someone firing back from the forested area.
The lack of incoming rounds seems to suggest whoever attacked the convoy were gone by the time these videos were taken.
The 5.56 round most of the police are firing is near useless shooting through vegetation. The round is so light it is deflected by almost any vegetation.
The M60 is the better weapon for this , but the way he is firing it , leaves much to be desired, more training required on arms handling and use for mex police.

  23. No grenades thrown or RPG fired on the police by the sicarios, they are lucky OR have a couple of snipers in the jungle to take down the cops.

  25. Not sure the political repercussions that would ensue from our side (US Govt), but if the CT knew a little bit about IED's, they could increase the body count of dead PF really fast...those roads look perfect for setting IEDs

  26. Michoacan ain't no joke!!! Jalisco fools be too worried about breaking a nail or losing their dildoes to get with this state...they best stick to being mariachi's and charros, and not gangsters

  27. Is there any possible bills/laws on the table to allow Mexican citizens to own firearms. Is anyone trying to make this happen or not? Its pretty clear that this may help. If not with the cartels then at least with the kidnappings. It would at least make the sicarios think twice when running up in someone's home. To me that seams like at least some solution to the problem. I love drugs, but hate the violence that goes with it. The people I deal with aren't scum like these sicarios. They are very nonviolent hippies. However, Mexico doesn't have any hippies. Just sicarios. I have no problem with people making money off of unjust drug laws to feed their families, but crossing the line into violence should never be done. Better gun laws would stem this violence, so I was just wondering if there are any efforts to change these laws and what are the chances of success?

" Im not hearing incoming rounds in this video"
Interesting questions dude,i was thinking along the same lines.A hit and run type thing from Templarios? There is no incoming in any of the videos and i would have thought the stationary vehicles on an unobstructed and highly visible point like that would have invited fire?
They must have fired on the convoy and then taken off i guess?
