Hector Beltran Leyva captured

Hector Beltran Leyva was captured  today during a federal military operation.

He is leader of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel. He is the brother of Arturo Beltrán Leyva.  

There was a 5 Million dollar reward offered by the US for information leading to his capture, and Mexico's offer was  30 Million pesos. (2.5usd)

Beltran had alliances both with the Juarez Cartel and Los Zetas.

News Conference-Confirmed:

PGR reported that Hector Beltran  was captured today in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.  

During a 11 month federal operation it was discovered he lived in  Querétaro posing as a businessman dedicated to Real Estate the buying and selling of art.

The premier leader of BLO was allegedly arrested at  a seafood restaurant in SMA, in a military operation, without a single shot being fired.

Looking stunningly older than his stated age, Hector was born February 15, 1965 in Badiraguato, Sinaloa, at 49, that makes him the eldest of  the living Beltran Leyva’s, the now-deceased Arturo "El Barbas" was four years older..

The capo  was captured as part of the operation called "Hotel".

The PGR chief said at the conference that Beltran Leyva was arrested along with Germán Goyenechea Ortega, who authorities say served as its chief financial officer. 

According to the official, "H" was responsible for the movement of cocaine from Central and South America,  to The United States and Europe . 

Also learned during the investigation that was data and evidence was recently gained,  indicating the alliances of BLO with other organized crime groups and that they had  expanded their business of synthetic drug.

Beltran took over the leadership role after the December 16th, 2009 death of Arturo Beltran Leyva, "El Barbas".

DNA is being conducted to 100% confirm the capture of the capo.

His vehicle was still at the scene on Thursday.
