Police elements managed to arrest Melissa Margarita Calderón Ojeda "La China", presumed Special Forces chief of assassins of the criminal organization "Los Damaso" in Baja California.
According to the weekly Zeta, the Attorney General of Baja California unofficially confirmed the arrest of the woman.
The publication reported the arrest at about 13:10, when she was trying to leave the state from a small airport outside Cabo San Lucas, in Baja California Sur.
He adds that because of the secrecy of the investigations, the case was not reported.
Calderon Ojeda was arrested along with a criminal cell.
La China is one of those responsible for the violence in La Paz, where until now there have been 178 murders in the struggle for control of the drug trade.
Calderon Ojeda is an armed wing operator of "Los Damaso" Special Forces in Baja California Sur, which operate mainly in the city of La Paz.
The 30-year-old became famous by a ballad titled like her nickname.
In recent weeks it was reported that La China had stop working for "Los Damaso" of the Sinaloa Cartel, because of problems high in the chain of command.
Therefore, supposedly Calderon Ojeda decided to form her own group holding a dispute with "Los Damaso".
The alleged sicaria was one of the two objectives of state, federal and military forces for her participation in at least nine murders in the drug war being waged against Los Pepillos and Los Mayitos in La Paz, according to the weekly Zeta.

There is a channel called "GENTE NUEVA SZ" you could search all in mayuscular letters.. There is a video with Two girls in a picture, she is the girl on the right side.. I didn't do the article on her previous arrest, I have done several articles on her.I believe Tijuano wrote that one on her arrest. Yes I believe she or CDS paid for her release. But that is just speculation.

zeta used to be ultra reliable, but about a year ago I noticed they were not as dependable. I checked the federal websites and nothing here but maybe tomorrow.
Tijuanos original article on her arrest from June 16th doesn't mention which agency arrested her, other zeta articles have said that the state preventative, municipal, transit, and some federal police and members of the Group for Coordination are on their payroll. If that is true, she could certainly have been released, usually its the PGR and SEIDO that get final disposition of these kinds of organized criminals, that's a common closing line on many zeta arrest articles from BCS.

Unfortunately we have a rule here that unless two mainstream news outlets, i.e. Proceso, Milenio, Zeta, Reforma, Sinembargo, among others. Failing that we don't post it, I would love to do stuff on CDG and Zetas but unless its in mainstream our hands are tied.

It is obvious that a group (or more) of Damaso's people decided to go rogue, probably because they felt Damaso's squad was soft. This group fell under La China.
This means they would have had to be in cohorts with the rivals in La Paz, and we know who they are..
