CDG: Capture leader R2 and two others

Lucio R. Borderland Beat
In Altamira, Tamaulipas, federal forces captured, Marco Antonio Haro Rodriguez,  El R2 or El Toñín, alleged leader of the Gulf Cartel plaza in the region.

The arrest of Haro Rodriguez, was highlighted in a government statement,  after a joint operation that included the Navy of Mexico, the Mexican Army, Federal Police and PGR.

R2  is considered responsible for directing the criminal activities of the Gulf Cartel from southern Tamaulipas to the municipality of Panuco, Veracruz.

Along with Haro Rodriguez they  arrested two members of the Golfo Cartel, Eloy Fernando del Ángel Hernández, who was presumably responsible for ordering kidnappings and extortion in southern Tamaulipas and northern Veracruz, and Omar García Torres.

There are reports on social media that Garcia Torres has already been released from custody, but no official confirmation.

In the truck the men were riding in, authorities seized weapons and drugs, including handguns, AR15s and a grenade.

Haro Rodriguez took over leadership after his brother El Chive was arrested in August 2015.  The arrest of El Chive was made, after his brother known as R5 was hospitalized subsequent to an explosive accident.

@12:20 Real smart men do not go around raping to get their way. It is all against the law, a d against the laws of war, you should know it, that is why the lords of war use masked bandits as "contractors" to cover their tracks and their dirty deeds and great at themselves impunity, which may be legal, for a while, but the "optics" are terrible all the way...for all of youses...

    2. 12.20 The rules of war doesn't apply to these fucks, they ain't real people and they certainly ain't soldiers

    4. 8:03 by the time you are found guilty out and you find out there were rules and that they do apply, it is usually too late, then the selective ignorance applies to denials and more denials, and claims of "we was following orders..."between soba and wailing like a woumded coyote...

    4. 10:35 well, since it happens, and it is a problem, and it is not decent, and it is against the law, but is tolerated and in many times encouraged AND "part of the culture" specially on the US ARMED FORCES, but also in prison, somebody had to bring it up here, grow tf up.
      thanks BB...

  4. I was that which others did not want to be
I went where others feared to go, and did what others failed to do
I asked for nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thought of eternal loneliness...should I fail
I have seen the face of terror
Felt the stinging cold of fear
And enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love
I have cried, pained and hoped...but most of all
I have lived times others would say were best forgotten
At least I will be able to say that
I was proud of what I was...

I went where many others go and did the same that they did

I have seen the face of terror (my senior petty officer yelling)
Felt the sting of cold weather
And enjoyed the sweet moments while I was on Leave
I have cried, pained and forgotten the hard times I went through
I have lived times others have not
At least I will be able to say that
I am proud to have served my country
      when many others have not.

    2. The rules are made up as they go in Mexico. Nothing written down is followed, the concerning factor is who is in power at the time, not the law.

A banana republic funded primarily on the backs of peasant workers in the US and narcotic sales. The leadership of Mexico is just a large mafia of Spaniards that continue to exploit the indigenous of the land.

Europeans have never stopped the conquest of Mexico, and it's people.
