The State Attorney General (FGEJ) confirmed the detention this Thursday of 19 persons and the death of one alleged delinquent who died confronting Police agents, during a macro operation carried out in the early hours in the Valles region, after the discovery of three new training camps.

According to state authorities, the trainees in these encampments were held against their will by dozens of subjects pertinent to the CJNG. The press ganged people were contracted to provide their services as private police and contacted through social networks.

The prosecutor Eduardo Almaguer confirmed today at a press conference the location of 5 narco camps found in less than 10 days, two last week in the delegation of Navajas and three more on Thursday the 27th, in the boundaries between Ahuisculco and the village of Navajas.




"These training camps were set up in the mountainous part of the municipality, in an area of very difficult access, which is why our elements had to enter the ground on foot", he said.

Finding the location of the camps was achieved thanks to an operation mounted by land and air with the participation of more than 400 men, including dozens of state agents and elements of the army.

The prosecutors office used some aircraft that flew over the area late at night to detect places where there were hot spots on hills or ravines or places where fires could be detected.

According to prosecutor Eduardo Almaguer, the search operation for suspected criminals is maintained in several municipalities in the Valles region, as is the case for Tala, Ameca, Teuchitlan, Magdalena and Tequila.

In the action the authorities secured at least 15 motorcycles of different types, two rifles and a good amount of articles and equipment in the camps used by the delinquents.

According to the prosecutor, among the 19 detainees, at least a dozen admitted their full participation in illegal acts such as recruitment, homicide and fuel theft.
