Executed: "Güero Canesten" of the CJNG in Tijuana

Erick Samuel Deraz González, alias "Guero Canesten", who is located just below Juan José Pérez Vargas "El Piolín" or "El JP" on the organization chart of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) in Tijuana, was assassinated this afternoon in the "Furati" soccer fields in Zona Río Tijuana.

In the attack, an innocent bystander, a minor of 16 years was shot in the head.

Around 4:30 in the afternoon, the 31-year-old drug trafficker was shot in front of the food stalls of the sports facilities. He received impacts on the neck, back and sides, injuries resulting in his death.

Before the arrival of the paramedics, the wife of "Güero Canesten", a tried to stop the bleeding caused by the bullet impacts.

Deraz González, who appeared in the "Guerra de Cárteles" report, published by ZETA in August 2016, was identified as one of the objectives of the Coordination Group of Baja California for the transfer and sale of drugs in the entity.

In March 2016 he was arrested by elements of the State Preventive Police (PEP) in possession of 26 grams of the synthetic drug known as crystal.

Nevertheless, in August of that year, it was protected in the specialized [amparo] court in Baja California, protecting against orders of apprehension, location and presentation.

Originally from El Rosario, Sinaloa, Deraz Gonzalez then worked in his parents' businesses, Súper González in the colonia Sánchez Taboada and Mercado 3 de Octubre in the colonia with the same name.
