"MX" for Borderland Beat
The trucks, known as monstruos (literally "monsters"), were used by the Northeast Cartel (CDN) to invade Doctor Coss, Nuevo Leon, a strategic turf controlled by the Gulf Cartel (CDG). |
Citizen journalists in northern Mexico reported over the weekend that a massive shootout broke out between the Gulf Cartel (CDG) and the Northeast Cartel (CDN) in Doctor Coss, Nuevo Leon, close to the border with Tamaulipas.
As shown in several videos and photographs shared on social media, the clash left 5 armored vehicles destroyed. The reports say that the CDN used monstruos (literally "monsters"), a term used by cartels when referring to armored cartel vehicles, when they moved into Doctor Coss. However, the CDG was reportedly able to neutralize the CDN's incursion in their turf and destroyed their vehicles.
Unofficial reports claim that that the death toll could be as high as 15 sicarios dead. One report said that local CDG boss 'Comandante Trivi' was killed during the clash. No authority issued an announcement of this shootout by press time.
Borderland Beat analysis
Doctor Coss municipality is close to La Frontera Chica (also known as La Ribereña), a border region along Tamaulipas. In the context of the Mexican Drug War, it is a lucrative drug corridor currently under dispute by the CDN and the Metros faction of the CDG.
This municipality is an important turf to control because it has highways that connect it to Reynosa, Miguel Aleman and Camargo, three border cities with legal ports of entry to the US. The CDN, based in Nuevo Laredo, is trying to expand east into La Frontera Chica, which has historically been controlled by the CDG.
Reports say that the CDN commanders in the area are Ricardo 'Ricky' Chapa and another individual simply known as 'El Amarillo'. The CDG commanders in the area are Cesar Morfin Morfin ('El Primito') and his brother Alvaro ('R-8'). They are among the top ten most-wanted cartel figures in Tamaulipas, as reported by Borderland Beat.
Last February, the CDN clashed with the Mexican military in Doctor Coss. They tried to shoot down a helicopter, but soldiers repelled the attack and killed 5 CDN gunmen.
In November, CDN members killed the Doctor Coss police chief, Francisco Leonides Cruz, and two of his aides. Local reports said that the CDN used the same kind of armored vehicles used in this weekend's shootout.

I haven't been paying attention to tamps for awhile, last time I checked pelochas had just gotten captured but there wasn't a metros/ciclones war yet. what happened since? Cdg tamaulipas have always been violent and never stopped engaging in large scale battles like this one. huevo/cdn must have gotten stronger since rebranding his tios cartel if hes giving orders and has the manpower for aggressive territory takeovers imo

Hottest thing rn for the CDG is the war at La Frontera Chica. Primito and his brother from Metros fighting CDN, who is pushing aggressively via Los Guerra (Miguel Aleman) and Comales (near Dr Coss). BB has been up to date, just search “La Frontera Chica” and filter by dates. Breakdown is good
DeleteNow. In Reynosa it’s a different story. That warehouse attack that killed 7 last year showed the CDG Metros Reynosa was maybe going thru a power struggle, but it hasn’t erupted. Chuy lavadas from Rio Bravo was taken down last year also BB reported
Matamoros Cdg is VERY interesting. Contador was released last year and he killed his cousin Kike.... read the story if you can. He’s working with Vaquero and against Cuate Mtz and other fuckers. Matamoros may burst soon.
8:10 - you’re right about the CDN having money to finance takeovers. CDN may not have a lot of territory, but controlling Nuevo Laredo is a money-maker. It’s the best border crossing for commerce due to I-35, and lots of drugs and contraband flow back and forth. Freelance narcos also pay “piso” there which the CDN leaders keep. Their goal is Miguel Alemán because they have eye on Reynosa (ultimate goal). Not sure if they will ever get there but I think Miguel Alemán is very possible... I got no info on the Nuevo Guerrero plaza but I think it is CDN, not sure. Miguel Alemán is 100% CDG right now. Mier is half/half. Everything east of Miguel Alemán is CDG.

Zs have always favored these “monstrous”. I think since the era of El Lazca. I remember then from 2011 or so.
ReplyDeleteDo they even work? You’d think their mobility and vision sucks. All they have is defensive and I guess the ability to push vehicles... idk. I imagine flat tires are common.
But if they keep using them maybe they do work?
They also use them for intimidation, I'd shit my pants if I had to face these on regular F150s.
DeleteWhen you have RPGs those are nice target.
DeleteOtherwise a glass bottle and some fuel works as well
9:52 you shit your pants if you see kid on a bike. Lol
DeleteThe boys from cdn are pushing hard against cdg metros how long can these loose band of golfos hold of for ? They would be as well packing there bags and turn Reynosa into a fortress because they don’t have the man power to hold cdn off forever in frontera Chica tamps nowadays it’s pretty much how it was back 2010-2012 it’s heating up and if Mencho wins in Zacatecas you can beat he’s gonna send more back up for cdg
ReplyDeleteATTE SCOTTISH ZETA
Why would they retreat? That’s dumb. Just hold Frontera Chica as long as possible
DeleteGolfos been holding off their attacks for awhile now dude, CDN is losing men by the dozen in Nuevo Laredo and here, they do not have good soldiers just crackheads at this point
DeleteCdn are more powerful than you think they have the crown jewel Nuevo Laredo for many years now they have money a large army and good territory all whilst fighting the army if the marines weren’t going hard against them cdg wouldn’t be able to hold them off at all

DeleteSome of these cartel boys must have a fetish for things like DAMNATION ALLEY—they’re obsessed with these uber-armored monstrosities.
ReplyDeleteM.F.
CJNG just killed a million CDS sicarios in Durango.
ReplyDeleteI have been in combat, these cartels have serious Weapons, that's a revolution. The Amlos better wake up, it's getting really bad. Abrazos are not working.
ReplyDelete11:44 it is not the cartels tonto, it is all cabeza de cagadas de vacas trying to save his ass taking out his associates and witnesses to leave no witness behind.
DeleteI have been in combat, these cartels have serious Weapons, that's a revolution. The Amlos better wake up, it's getting really bad. Abrazos are not working. The Cartels missing a real opportunity with Biden's open border, human and drug business.
ReplyDelete11:48 missing?
DeleteThey've had this fire power for decades AMLOs presidency hasn't changed anything
DeleteIt's a lost cause for CDN to send equipment to try to take LFC, Primito has sicarios, hardware, territory, merchandise, contactos, feria and palancas to repel these kamikaze missions. The balaceras and bloodshed will continue por el negocio
ReplyDelete6:19 primito is a pussy begging cjng for help😭
DeleteShit why dont they build their own plazas and roads isnt mexico big enough to go to a place where grinos go and do their drug routes there ?
ReplyDeleteHell i hear about places where grinos go hunting ( deer sheep )
why not go there (nicely)
screw this killing and fighting
make your dam port or routes

ReplyDeleteahhhh yes but thats like wondering why the hoards that invaded pre arabic ancient Egypt in all its splendor of archtecture and lush green argriculture in the desert, Jerk Seize and his quest to do the same with the Greeks, and one might make a modern day comparison to Libya and other parts of Africa such as what happend in Zimbabwe with the take over by Mugrabee.
there are builders and they are takers. they dont know how to do anything else. in all my years reading these sites, you are the first comment ive seen to state this most obvious of observations, that might give you some context as to the why something like what you stated hasnt been self evident and realized years ago. when the young are taught to take the other mans car instead of build their own, well...
