'El Pablito', Nephew of Rafael Caro Quintero, Arrested for Homicide in the State of Mexico

Juan Pablo Quintero Martinez ('El Pablito', center) was arrested earlier today

Mexico's Attorney General's Office (FGR) announced the arrest of Juan Pablo Quintero Martinez ('El Pablito'), nephew of Rafael Caro Quintero, former leader of the Guadalajara Cartel. El Pablito was arrested in Atizapan de Zaragoza, State of Mexico, on a homicide charge.

Investigators say he is wanted for the November 2020 murder of a man in Azcapotzalco, a municipality in the Mexico City area. Reports say that El Pablito killed the man during an Xbox video game console robbery.

The FGR believes that El Pablito may also be involved in drug trafficking and kidnapping in Mexico City and the State of Mexico. He was imprisoned at the Reclusorio Oriente penitentiary and was assigned to a judicial authority in that jurisdiction.

"[El Pablito] is presumed innocent and will be treated as such in all stages of his legal proceedings, just as long as he is not found guilty by a court per Mexico's National Code of Criminal Procedures," the FGR confirmed.

His uncle Caro Quintero was one of the founders of the Guadalajara Cartel. Mexican authorities say Caro Quintero is reportedly leading a criminal group in the state of Sonora. In the US, he is wanted for the 1985 murder of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent Enrique Camarena Salazar.

Picture of El Pablito without his eyes covered, as shown by some Mexican media outlets. Mexican officials usually blur the eyes of suspects to preserve presumption of innonence, as required by Mexican federal law.

  1. Looks kind of like Miguel Caro Quintero; same upward tilted eyes and brows. Maybe one of Miguel’s kids?

  2. "El Pablito is presumed innocent and will be treated as such", first time i ever heard of any official pertaining to a detainee as such. And this coming from a country who's Human rights are not being exercised.
That statement alone indicates something in the works is going on. Beneficial that is on his nephews behalf.

    1. 7:39 the new judicial processing, "ordered from above" (the US) bent on saving face by pretending to respect the "Presumption of Innocense" even having to read people their Miranda Rights while they are getting connected to the chicharra and cattle prod while being water boarded or machine gunned on the street "by rival cartels".
