Tijuana: Dead Body Abandoned With Threatening Sign, CAF Leaves Human Head Hanging From Bridge

"HEARST" for Borderland Beat

In Tijuana, a dead body is left in the trunk of an abandoned car along with a sign threatening Lolo on Friday. On early Saturday morning, a severed head and threatening sign is left in a bag on a bridge.

An abandoned vehicle was discovered on the main street of the El Florido neighborhood of Tijuana after about 10pm on May 21, 2021. When police approached the abandoned red Nissan Versa they observed that the doors of the vehicle were all left open and the trunk was left open as well. Inside the truck, the remains of a person wrapped in a blanket were found, reportedly with “traces of violence”. It has been alleged that a white sign also accompanied this body which read, in part:

This is going to happen to the whole bunch of chapulines and we're coming for you Lolo, fucking filthy rat.

Sincerely, La Mera Verga

In a separate event, at around 2:00 am on May 22 2021, a macabre package hanging from a bridge was reported to the emergency services line. Municipal Police officers were sent to investigate the reported location, at the corner of Cruz del Sur in the Sanchez Taboada neighborhood of Tijuana, Baja California.

According to El Imparcial, when they arrived they found a strange object in a plastic bag they couldn’t immediately identify. It was hung from a pedestrian bridge, dangling over Sanchez Taboada Avenue. The municipal officers alerted the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of the discovery. They told the FGE that the strange package, disturbingly, seemed to be leaking blood onto the road below.

The FGE sent Forensic Services personnel to the location and they were able to lift the package up, back onto the pedestrian bridge. When they opened the bag they were able to confirm what officers had suspected, that inside there was a severed human head. Inside the bag was also a neon green sign with a threatening message.

ZETA Tijuana reports that the message on the sign read in part:

This is going to happen to all the people who walk with the fucking filthy Nueva people.

-C.A.F.

CAF is the Spanish acronym of the Tijuana Cartel and/or Arellano Felix Organization.

  7. La nueva owns Sánchez Taboada and Tecate but they’re going to have a lot of trouble with the people from El Centro (CAF). They have been trying to connect their corridors through highway 2 to connect Tecate and Sanchez Taboada and up to Rio Vista and Otay for years now moving from east to west of the city. CAF got restructured and is now with CDS again to fight off CJNG but it might be too late. There’s going to be a massive wave of violence coming soon. It’s been happening already but not a lot of news sites write about it. Street vendors have been getting executed left and right these days. Some friends that live in TJ said “nomas duran unos cuántas semanas y aparecen muertos”

  10. I can, in the USA, think of stories like this on Google News, Fox, CNN and local outlets. This would all be top news . . but here in Mexico in a common posting. Tecate, Cajeme, Fresnillo, etc. . . where does the horror end. Surely not by the Mexican gov't, Nat'l Gov't, marinas, etc. You fight the underworld, you fight on your own, and mostly you fight for your fate. No support, net, collaborators, no one. You get it. Another problem, from Hwy 2 to Tecate and Sanchez Taboada and up to Rio Vista and Otay. How do you stand up without death or retribution.

Or is it the same one who signs La Mera Verga in many states?

I seen articles here where almost every cartel has had a threat from some one saying La Mera Verga.
It has made me think it's someone from Michoacán, from CDMX from Jalisco now from Tijuana.

Or is it just a way to say "the one in charged"????

  19. So CAF fought Sinaloa and the CAF allied with CJNG to fight Sinaloa but then CAF allied with CDS and now fights CJNG???

So CAF turned on its ally and joined it's old enemy to fight who used to be its ally. interesting

So flakito was CAF, joined CJNG, and now claims CAF again but it's working under CDS????

And they still call others chapulines when he is more Chapulín than anything else?

    1. My humble opinion and personal understanding is that it’s best to not think about CAF in Baja as one single entity with one single alliance to either CDS or CJNG nowadays. I have read CAF is currently a fractured series of cells, each cell has their own personal history of alliances.

For example, Zeta says that El Flaquito’s CAF cell resisted allying itself with CJNG for a long time. Whereas some CAF cells were onboard with a CJNG alliance and they created the Cartel Tijuana Nueva Generation in 2015. Then again there are some rumors that El Flaquito’s group did have a brief and temporary alliance with CJNG in order to “keep the peace” but nothing that can be really confirmed. Last I heard El Flaquito’s group is quite solidly allied to Los Chapitos.

      Delete
    2. Opinion respetada.

  22. CAF fought CDS and lost
Teo and Muletas controlled TJ for CDS
They were arrested and Akiles controlled for CDS
Piolin joined CJNG and Gross from CAF became CTNG
CAF/CTNG made an alliance to fight Akiles CDS
    Flakito from CAF joins CJNG/CTNG
Gross is killed Piolin is arrested, later killed
Flakito takes over CTNG negotiates with Akiles/Rana
Later flakito reaches out to CDS
CDS ends support to Akiles/Rana and supports Flakito
Flakito breaks the CAF and CJNG alliance
    Flakito forms a CAF/CDS alliance
now CAF/CDS goes to war with CJNG

  23. I wonder if anyone of the Arellano family is still left who still has any power and control over CAF, or is it just flakito and others that just want to continue the name. What happened to El Piloto or Los Pilotos. I remember CTNG claimed an alliance with CAF, El Gross would still claim CAF, yet there where messages of others also claiming CAF who didn't approved and would say CAF rolls with nobody, TJ is for the people of TJ and Piloto was behind alot of this, it got to the point where CTNG send them a message asking for acceptance or war. If there are any of the originals left I wonder if they support flakito claiming CAF and working with CDS or will they kill him sooner or later.

  25. interesting indeed...

did i read this correctly someone said rana and his hermano akiles are no longer getting support from CDS? when did this happen? was it due to a falling out with chapitos? or were they supported by mayo or possibly another one of the dozen or so low key heavy hitters that make up the round table known as the CDS? i assume it was mayos people supporting them? anyone else get the feeling that a fall out could be more than just a little coincidence
re: recent turbulence that baja sur is unfortunately experiencing as of late?

i cant imagine the akiles rana people ever joining forces with CJNG just because of historical rivalry but hey ya never know, been researching these cartel sagas for years now and i gotta say their world is more bizzare than i ever could imagine.

if what the poster above stated is true id recon that rana and akiles have gone semi independent, it was already well known for sometime that neither of them reside personally in baja due to safety concerns. best guess is they are back to keeping it low key running their bizz from guadalajara, SLP, or maybe even mexico state...highly doubt they would be in sinaloa, they have been around a long time probably see the writing on the wall and are getting out of the way until the chit show commences
... war is bad for bizness, chances of ending up dead or arrested are increased 100 fold. in that case makes more sense they would go semi independent, looked at it this way, it sounds less like cds dropped support for them and more like the brothers just said hey thats your war, we are making money over here and dont want nor need no problems, have war playing call of duty for keeps edition.

the pull CJNG has to all these small time little groups is that all of a sudden these little trapper gramero gangs are given access to 'the plug'. and so never having access to that kind of quantity quality product at such a cheap price before, naturally they go ape with turf wars and what not bcuz they dont have the experience plus when your mencho is the plug and keeps pushing these guys to violently expand well this is what happens... eventually tho the honeymoon ends and they either realize that mencho sells out his own people on such a regular its become his modus operandi S
O.P, the smarter ones catch wind of this and say to hell with that and get out before they get to mixed up with the cjng - carrot juicer nueva grameros.

funny thing is that cjng doesnt control lazaro cardenas port... how they are able to produce so much crystal while also so much cheaper than other cartels is hard to understand. obviously they have figured out a way to get their smurf food in biggity bulk x1000. nobody ever talks about templarios anymore, even with the whole CU vs cjng war, the templarios been just quietly working holding onto the real prize of that region that port.. i doubt el tuta wanted to get caught but at the same time i kinda could imagine he knows hes much safer in prison maybe hes even thriving still running some sort of the templario enterprise on the down low. just a thought
