According to police, the victims -- four men and a woman -- were between 35 and 45 years old and were shot multiple times. They were found in the back of a 1974 pickup truck, and one victim's hands were bound.
The unidentified victims were found at a rough dirt track called "Vado de Cedillo", about six miles from the rural town of Porvenir, authorities said.

Girl, 3, maybe dad shot dead in Juárez
A 3-year-old girl and possibly her father were killed Wednesday in the violence in Juárez that has left more than 2,600 people dead this year, officials said.
Just after 2 p.m., a shooting took place at Croacia and Costa de Marfil streets where the girl, Arely Estrada Peralta, was wounded several times, police said. She died in an ambulance while she was being taken to a hospital.
Inside the pickup she was in, police found Antonio Estrada Torres, 25, dead of multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities suspected that he was Arely's father.
A woman, who was not identified, was also wounded in the shootout and taken to a hospital, where she was recovering, police said. Her condition was not known.
Children this year have increasingly become victims of violence in Juárez, often as bystanders, when shooters open fire at their targets including vehicles occupied by families. In November, two children, one 6 and another 7, were shot and killed.
At 11:23 p.m. Tuesday, four men and a woman were found dead in the back of an old pickup with Texas plates on a dirt road near the town of Porvenir, in far east Juárez, Chihuahua state police reported Wednesday.
The victims, all between 35 and 45 years old, had been shot several times in the head with two types of handguns, police said.
Police said the bodies were not recovered until Wednesday morning because of bad weather Tuesday night.
According to Chihuahua state reports, at least 2,636 people have been killed so far
