A Mexican Army Humvee armed with a machine gun and several Mexican soldiers on foot chased three U.S. citizens through the Columbus port of entry around 2:35 a.m. Saturday, Customs and Border Protection spokesman Roger Maier told El Paso television station KVIA.
The soldiers were confronted by Customs agents and quickly retreated on orders from one of their officers, according to KVIA.
The El Paso Times reported that about 20 minutes after the incident, a Mexican military commander met with Customs and Border Protection officials and apologized, telling them the car was being pursued because it ignored a checkpoint.
After CBP officers checked the car, they found nothing illegal, and the car went on its way north, the Times said.
They were probably scared to stop, they could've been kidnapped by those corrupt soldiers, I wonder, where those even real soldiers...
