Shootout Outside School Leaves 3 Dead and 2 Wounded

Ciudad Juarez, Chih - Three men were killed and two wounded during a shootout a few yards from an elementary school whose students were attending outside recess, sparking panic among children, teachers and some parents who were at the school.

The incident occurred at the intersection of José Reyes Estrada and Segunda, in the community of Torres del PRI, near the elementary school Plutarco Elías Calles.

Two of the bodies were left lying in the middle of the street, while another person died while enroute to the hospital after receiving medical care. Two other people were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries to receive medical attention.
