The "Safe House"

San Pedro Garza García, NL.- Elements of the Seventh Mexican Military Zone busted up a "safe house" on the address 401 Santa Barbara, between the streets 16 de septiembre and 5 de mayo, in the community of Palo Blanco, in the municipality of San Pedro. The safe house is believed to belong to the Beltran Leyva Cartel.

The operation of the military came about due to a citizen tip about the existence of this safe house.

The military seized five AR-15 rifles, many hand grenades, a digital scale, a bag full of ammunition, two AK-47 or cuernos de chivo, eight kilograms of cocaine as well as a payroll list that might have been downloaded from the web pages of the Municipality of San Pedro, a motorcycle, security camera systems, a flat screen TV, a currency counter and a shrine to San Judas Tadeo.

On arrival the military forces did not find anyone at the safe house, but it is presumed that people were in the house minutes before the arrival of the military, since there was food on the table still warm. The residents who live at the house escape through the rear of the house during the raid.
