Guerrero - The director of the State Ministerial Police, Fernando Monreal Avila, announced that according to information gathered by the agency, its eight officers killed on September 17, were victims of at least 30 suspected hit men (sicarios) belonging to the cartel "La Familia Michoacana."
Monreal Avila acknowledged that this is the hardest blow that organized crime has delivered to the agency so far this year, based on the number of officers slain in the community of "El Revelado," municipality of Tlatlaya in the State of Mexico (DF).
He said that the agents were just doing their duty when they were attacked and in no way where they engaged in any kind of impropriety; they were going after a killer of a neighbor in the community of “Cerro Cortado,” in the municipality of Teloloapan.
He noted that in “Revelado” where they found the bodies two of the nine bodies, elements of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico are working hard to locate the suspects responsible for the fact.
"We have gathered some facts and are only going to corroborate them," noted the director of the ministry.
With respect to messages left at the scene where the bodies were found, the attackers are indicating they might be members of La Familia Michoacana.
"In one of the messages they reference a certain "Berna" and they say that despite that they were sent disguised as judicial agents, here I return them to you," which suggests that officers may have been confused.
He insisted that the elements were in fact going after a murderer, however, he said that apparently the murderer that was been pursued was a member of La Familia and realizing that he was being persecuted, told his accomplices and these people conducted the ambush.
At scene of the first shooting, the PME found spent casings from Ak-47s and AR-15s, also some of the villagers witnessed the ambush who they say involved at least 30 gunmen, putting the judicial agents in a distinct disadvantage.
At least five people have been executed in the last couple of days in Morelos. This is primarily due to the war between drug cartels vying for control of the plaza, however, besides the Cártel del Pacifico Sur belonging to La Barbie, La Familia Michoacana has also entered the conflict to dispute the region .
These murders confirmed the advance in the region from this criminal organization through the center of the Mexican republic, that has begun to leave bodies of their victims with narcomensajes (narco-messages), to proclaim their expansion within the territory through the states of Michoacán, Guerrero, State of Mexico and Morelos among others.

So, La Familia is going to go heads up with Hector Beltran and CPS for control of the Guerreo plaza? That region isn't going to be calm for awhile, unless El H goes down in the first round, which isn't impossible, considering the shape his organization could be in, considering the hits they have been taking lately. None of this violence is good for business, the cartels must be as sick of it as everyone else.
