Apatzingán.- Peace marches planned for this Sunday in Apatzingán have transformed into a show of public support for La Familia, a statement which the state governemnt has largely denied. Mayor Genaro Guízar personally attended this rally which began at the Cultural Monument of Glorieta, which was built in the memory of general Lázaro Cárdenas. The march concluded in the plaza de armas of Apatzingán, and among the demonstrators their were signs that showed support for the criminal organization and its founder El Chayo.
Some of the signs read ‘Nazario Lives In All Our Hearts’ y ‘Viva la Familia Michoacana'
Protests began on Friday afternoon when 300 citizens of Apatzingán, began to call for Felipe Calderón to order an immediate exit of the federal police because of alleged "beatings, causualties and other human rights violations." That particular banner was well made and of good quality.Most of the demonstrators traveled on foot, some in cars and it was people of all ages, men women and children. The demonstrations began noon in the middle of the city and has since blocked all traffic in the area.

Everybody is poor, downtrodden, victimized, helpless because of somebody else. I'm all for the Virgin of Guadalupe but I think the Lord helps those that help themselves. And the fault, culpa, goes back to where it has been since the beginning ...corruption in the government and leadership of Mx and the desire to keep the classes separate. 50%+ poverty rate is why things are as they are. It makes poor people grateful and loyal to the hand that gives, without concern or thought to how it was earned. The culpa begins there and plenty of it extends from there. FYI the President does not create jobs, he creates policies that help create jobs!!!! I live in Puerepero, Michoacan and LFM has recently moved in. Quite frankly, I used to like it better when they were not here. We used to be able to walk through the plaza and just hang out with our girlfriends talking. Not anymore. If they catch us after 9pm, they will not hesitate to use their arms against us. Yet, they say they are protecting the Michoacanos. That's not even the worst part. They say that they don't sell drugs to the people of Michoacan. Wrong! I've passed by the plaza and I have seen drugs being sold-this is the sickening part-by teenagers. They continously 'charge' the shops and stalls in the marketplace 'rent' (piso). A while back, this man found out that they were selling drugs to his son. He went and told the seller to never sell drugs to his son again. A few days later a pickup full of men arrived and of course, killed the man. So when staged protests like this show up saying how much LFM is good for Michoacan, I just want to vomit! I hope they all either get arrested or get killed off since that's what they seem to want anyway...

They did this in Cuidad Juarez (when the so called student was shot) and they were also paid in Monterrey NL by Los Zetas to do the same thing.
