Sinaloa: 7 dead after attack on police station.
Clashes that occured in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday morning in Guamuchil and on the highway to the neighboring municipality of Guasave have left at least seven people dead.
The clashes began at approximately 3:00 AM when gunmen on board five vehicles clashed with municipal police in Guamuchil and then attacked the police station and city hall.
No injuries or fatalities were reported during the attack on the police station but twelve police vehicles were heavily damaged and superficial damage was reported to city buildings and at least three residences.
After the attack the convoy of gunmen dumped the bodies of four men on Ferrocarril street who had been abducted earlier then headed out on Federal Highway 15 in the direction of the neighboring city of Guasave.
The four dead men were identifid as residents of El Burrion, a town in the municipality of Guasave.
On the highway the convoy was reportedly intercepted by a rival group of gunmen and series of shootouts on the highway ensued.
The bodies of three deceased gunmen and several heavily damaged vehicles were found abandoned between Guamuchil and Guasave.
A Mexican Army source reported the arrest of one suspect named Jesus Ramon Rodriguez who suffered a gunshot wound to a hand.

ReplyDeleteNot much info coming from Sinaloa about the violence, I'm assuming it's Zeta's/Beltran/Juarez, Juarez being the least likely, but there doesn't seem to be much reported on the antagonist of these confrontations. Unless it's inter Sinaloa conflicts, which I am discounting, as being too speculative, due to their ongoing conflicts with the groups mentioned above.
ReplyDeleteZeta's are probably responsible, as they are the most able to attack enemies in their own turf. Beltrans are practically confined to Morelos, as are Juarez.
The Beltran's control guasave and were going to Guamuchil (which is controlled by Chapo( to get someone and then chapos people repelled the attack..so right now anything above guasave is beltran's and south is chapo's...on another note me and my uncle saw 25-30 trucks outside of Ahome in the corn fields and the rumor is that their will be a major offensive taking place soon
ReplyDeletein a 9 day period 3 police officers were assassinated all within a block or so of my home - i assist and train local fire and ems was on their. The rummers say that in the villages out of town zetas have been taking people ?I know this is nat Juarez but we have had an up tick in activity in mazatlan. in the post are links to what is happening here and more photos of the incident Guamuchil

A armed gang shoots up the town and police, dumps 4 bodies in town leaves, do the police chase them down? NO, They are engaged by another gang, with a running gun battle?? WHERE ARE THE POLICE? stringing yellow plastic ribbon around their office, counting shell casings, taking pictures, I am sure that defensive operations occured because of the capture of equipment and one perp, good work there.
ReplyDeletePeople of Mexico: Turn to your centralized socialist government! They will help you and solve all your problems. Give up your rights to defend yourself. Accept the corruption in your country and wait for someone else to solve your problems. That is all you can do. That is all you are capable doing. Accept your new masters and get back to work.
ReplyDeleteuhh can we just get rid of those bullshit comments?
ReplyDeleteI was aware the Beltrans held territory in Sinaloa, why hasn't CDS pushed them out/back? They have to be somewhat weakened, given the state of their organization.
WTF does this have to do with the story??

J is right, BB get rid of those bullshit comments already!! Esp comments from some racist bigot who doesn't have a clue about Mexico or its people.
Anyways los Beltran are powerful in the State of Sinaloa to be simply rooted out, contrary to what many believe. They have been their for years. If it wasn't Los Beltran, Chapo would still be locked up in Puente Grande.

ReplyDeleteI found the humor :)
Me and my family just returned from Sinaloa, I'm an American married to a sinaloan woman. my wife's cousin told me pretty much the same thing as on of the statements above. Chapo controls everything south of Los Mochis and Beltran Leyva everything north, with pockets of resistance in both areas.
ReplyDeleteR.I.P Andres i'll always remember you
ReplyDeleteI am confused are these seven people part of El Commando lead by El Guero Maguiver??,or are they the ones that entered Guamuchil and shot up the police station??Are the four bodies left thrown in the streets el Guero Maguiver and his crew? supposibly after the firefight El guero Maguiver was shot dead and El Cholo Ivans people took all the bodies and guns left after the firefight.,
ReplyDeleteIt all started with a commando of El Chapo Isidro entering Guamuchil and shooting the police station(probably payback for the Ahome police force being arrested),then when they were there on there way out they shot it out with el Cholo Ivans people and lost then El Cholo Ivan sent more people to Guasave to kill Chapo Isidros ppl but before they entered Guasave El Guero Maguiver was on his way to Guamuchil and they shot it out leaving El Guero Maguiver dead, then another commando of El Chapo Isidro chased El Cholo Ivans people back to Guamuchil. So far thats all ive understood out of this whole incident.
A 17 year old sicario, from El Burrion Guasave Sinaloa was killed,I think thats pretty sad,17??? Could El Chapo Isidro Be loosing it??
The difference between El Chapo isidro(plaza boss for Alfredo Beltran Leyva in specially Guasave,Los Mochis,El Fuerte, and rumored parts of Navolato,Sinaloa de Leyva and parts of Sonora) and El Cholo Ivan(plaza boss and leader of los Antrax,Commando X in Guamuchil Sinaloa) is that El Chapo Isidro has had control of Guasave for a while, and El Cholo Ivan took over after the last Guamuchil plaza boss who also went by the nickname El Cholo was killed by El Chapo Isidros.
El Chapo Isidro has the support/backing of Beltran Leyvas/Zetas/Cartel de Juarez and El Cholo Ivan has support/backing from El Chapo/El Mayo,El Azul.
I still cant imagine that 17 year old sicario riding in a convoy to Guamuchil only to die in a hail of bullets. Many would argue he was brave,I would argue he didnt analyze what he was doing/or better yet chose not to analyze what he was doing, for a reason that would be unknown to uus who didnt know him.
