June 9 - Acting Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Charles K. Edwards testified that DHS and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents have been commonly targeted by Los Zetas with bribes in exchange for safe passage, protection, the escorting of traffickers and the leaking of sensitive information.
Per Edwards testimony, agents are “bribed with cash, granted sexual favors and other services in exchange for allowing contraband or undocumented immigrants to pass through inspection lanes.”
In May 2011, FBI Deputy Assistant Director of the Criminal Investigation Division, David Cardona, addressing public corruption [with regards to an FBI sting involving a CBP agent with ties to the Gulf Cartel] stated, “Amazingly these people sell their ethics for small dollar figures. There’s always a pattern. The bribes start off small, they work their way up and it’s just a constant flow. They become addicted to the illegal revenue flow of the constant bribes coming in.”
During the 2010 fiscal year, complaints against CBP agents rose to 4,162 and the DHS-IG opened 870 investigations related to CBP employees.

Starting pay for border patrol was 7.00 an hr. in 1986, if I had taken the job it wouldn't have been about the money, I can't say what I would have done if I became addicted to drugs and needed the money, sounds like this is what's happening.

ReplyDeleteI wish there were more stories covering corrupt U.S. agents or should I say, I wish these bastards were caught more often as I see this to be the main problem with combating illegal immigration, sex-slavery, drug smuggling, and gun-running. You don't make billions in these illicit activities without the aid of corrupt Brownsville Cops, Corrupt McAllen Border Patrol, Corrupt Arizonian DEAs, mayors, governors, FBI, and so on and so on. Hang'em high.
ReplyDeleteEl Capulina.
Any U.S. Law Enforcement officer who helps out the cartel assh##les are traitors to America and should be dealt with as such.
ReplyDeleteThey are no different than the school teachers who sexully molest the children or sell drugs to them. They are the worst of the worst. Condemmed to prison in the general population is to good for them. They should sit on death row for shit like that. Yes they do exist.
America is saturated with Mexican schawg weed and cocaine that crossed tru Mexico and is in every corner of this country. The only way that these big loads enter sucessfully is because of Corruption on both sides of the border.

ReplyDeleteWow DFL I believe that the most moderate and smartest comment I have heard you say so far. "The only way that these big loads enter sucessfully is because of Corruption on both sides of the border." Very true.
amen DFL
ReplyDeletethese assholes who sell out should have their citizenship stripped from them and be deported to Mexico..and have to really reap the fruits of their labors in the way they have contributed to the destruction of Mexico...
@12:20am
ReplyDeleteI have read many of DFLs comments and agree with most of them. I think that he mostly hits the nail on the head and it seems to piss off some people. I Don`t understand why. Maybe hes to hardcore for BBs readers.
@'lito'brito
ReplyDeleteHow can you take away their citizenship and deport them back to Mexico when they were born here in the US? Or better yet when those busted are white or black officers and have no ties to Mexico? Next time lets be a little more realistic.

Ok DFL you don't have to pretend to be Anonymous, just come out and say what you think, instead of pretending to be someone else.
