The Attorney General's office (PGR) announced today the capture of Manuel "El Meme" Alquisires García, a chief financial operator of the Gulf Cartel.
The alleged offender was arrested Saturday in Tampico, a Gulf Cartel stronghold in southern Tamaulipas, by members of the Mexican Navy.
According to reports the Navy was alerted to the area by an anonymous call reporting armed men in the residential area known as Club del Valle.
Four vehicles, 9 handguns, 3 rifles, 1 fragmentation grenade, 21 chargers, 2 silencers, 704 cartridges, $73,000 pesos, $1000 dollars, and communications equipment were seized during the arrest.
"El Meme" had been arrested July 4, 1998 along with Osiel Cardenas Guillen and Salvador "El Chava" Gómez Herrera en Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
On December 22, 2002 he was rescued from the Santa Adelaida Center for Social Rehabilitation prison in Matamoros during an attack by Zeta gunmen, when that organization was the paramilitary wing of the Gulf Cartel, and has been a fugitive ever since.

CDG better realize how ruthless and back stabbing their partners are before it is too late!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes Yes Yes, they are falling apart, and also ruthless backstabbing snitches. Most IMPORTANT to save the honest, hard working Mexican nation, the legalization of weapons and training its citizens is very very important. And of course the legalization and education of drugs.
ReplyDeleteOnly in Mexico are you "rescued" from prison. Every where else the felon escaped. If he was legally held he wasn't rescued. Or maybe in the eyes of the cartel he was.
