In this first edition you will find that its based on what experts say was the origin of the war that split the Beltran Leyva brothers from what was known as the Federation or the Blood Alliance. The authors are hoping to get feedback in comments and see if there is an interest to make it a Borderland Beat regular.

  11. I dont comment here much. My thought is you have to stop glorifying these murderers. Comics and superman are make believe. These are real people. Adults fine but kids see this stuff and it messes up their brains. Need to stop your children growing up looking up to these people. I dont mean to be Anti art. By the way great work BB. I cant believe how crappy the coverage is on CNN. No coverage at all really. Sad. Its like the world doesnt care about mexico. Syria...egypt..apghgan...nothing on mexico. Cnn sucks to be honest. You would think they cared more about a country on our BORDER!! Keep up the brave work BB you should be asking for donations no doubt.

  13. Weres the image of arturo beltran dead with his pants down to his knees. He might of been tough but the marines were tougher. Good work by the artist though.

    ReplyDelete
  14. This is a very interesting picture but you guys forgot to put Calderon on Chapos side.

    ReplyDelete
  15. clearly this comic is not for children at all and if children do get a hold of it it would be because there parents allow it

  16. Interest? Are you kidding me?? This will be the most visited portion of BB guaranteed. In fact, thats small thinking. If this is done well, believe me that it will have reaches far beyond this page, and far beyond people interested in the situation in mexico. People who like comics, loyal readers, will surely pick up on it. This could actually make some money because it has 2 different demographics it appeals to, people who visit sites like these, and people who read comics. Please continue. And dont worry about "glorifying" it. Everything glorifies everything. Nobody tells Johnny Depp not to star in Blow cuz it glorifys drug dealing, or Ben Afflec to create The Town because it glorifys drug dealing. Many a famous paintings have been painted and many a famous songs have been sung glorifying everything, you name it.

  18. What is the point?...to lessen the atrocities committed by these bastards....comics are supposed to be funny...thumbs down on this

  19. @9:58 So just cus the Marines pulled Arturo Beltrans pants down,AFTER he was dead, shows that they are tough???

Im sorry,I highly respect Marines but that was not an honorable act,to a human body.

It actually was pretty embarrasing for the Mexican Goverment, and then they ask why the Marines family was murdered??

I know its a tough thing to talk about but the Marines messed up right there,if it even was the Marines that did that.If you guys dont post this comment, BB is wack, but if you guys do you guys will continue to be one of the best sites around that doesnt minimize reality.

  20. Dude Arturo beltran and his 8 men went agaisnt 200 marines shows how faggot the marines are

    ReplyDelete
  21. For you that say Barbie is a bitch, why is he in top of the mexican flag? They should have put the flags on top, in my opinión!

    ReplyDelete
  22. thumbs Down from me too..glorifying these scumbags imo

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ok. Its not glorifying any one at all its a very sad reallity that mexico is going thru right now look at the cover...do you see any glory in that?

    ReplyDelete
  24. When I look at this awesome artwork, I see the devilish scoundrels dominating the piece. It tells a story. It miust be doubly gripping to those who live the nightmare that these scum bring. Anyone does not like it should submit their artwork to the editors. To make your work stand apart, depict the scoundrels getting buggered by Satan in Hell. Ja-Ja.

  25. Its no more glorifying than call of duty is glorifying war

    ReplyDelete
  26. 7:00 you are right about so many things I ll give you that....but the BLO specially arturo was known for bravery and loyalty did you know it was arturo and alfredo who helped chapo escape and put so much money to buy the prision? And regardless of what people say about him? What he did was unparallel he died like a man and faught for hours!!!! Against 400 marines with no backup what so ever if something he redeemed the beltran leyva honor as far as what happened after he died? Well that's another story so if you look closely at the cover you can see that its mainly about the beltrans breaking up with sinaloa I think

    ReplyDelete
  27. Call of duty is a glorification...thumbs down tambien

  28. @7:00pm Arturo Beltran escaped many operations trying to capture him,i.ll just mention two,in Puebla and in Acapulco,Guerrero were 13 of his top bodyguards died and an unknown number of soldiers died,in Acapulco the shootout lasted over 5 hours. The arsenals that the sicarios had was shown in several pictures,,Arturo Beltran got away,so for you to say he was only tough with innocent people is a complete lie, many times he showed soldiers,Marines who he was. This other two shootouts werent widely reported because the Mexican Goverment got their ass whooped, but his time ran out, when Barbie gave away his location.

Yeah he might of been crazy with his enemies, but he never allowed any of his people to kidnap, extort,or kill innocents who ever did was murdered for example the Pineda brothers his two top liutenants in Morelos and Guerrero after he heard they were kidnapping both were murdered and left with a narcomanta saying he doesnt allow anyone to kidnap extort or kill innocents, the Pineda brothers were his biggest representatives at that time.

He might of been crazy with his enemies but when he was around he didnt allow his people or Heriberto Lascano and his Zetas to extort, and kidnap, and kill innocents, but now zetas went back to normal, and his brother Hector is focused on locking his familys buisness down that he cant keep the Zetas under control, say what you want but when he was around the Zetas werent allowed to do all the stuff they do know.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @ 8:03 bravo!!!! Sir bravo!!!! Yes he made an exaple of el borrao y el mp because they where killing inocent people even hongo says it when arturo tried to reason with la familia he was not known for killing innocents he was ruthless no doubt but to who needed their ass kicked and to tell you the truth I don't think barbie gave him away that's just my opinion but for some one who called himself the boss of bosses? He definetly proved it and then some because only few bosses go down like that even barbie said it himself....ARTURO NO DEJO SALIR ANADIE Y DIJO QUE IVAN A PELEAR QUE NO SE IVAN A DEJAR QUE PREFERIA MORIRSE QUE ESTAR EN LA CARCEL arturo didn't allow no body to get out of the aparment and that they where gonna fight and that he rather die than be in jail now if those aren't balls I don't know what is

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well said 8:03 ..put that fag in his place I hate that guys dudes embarrsing over here talking like he knows everything...

  31. January 3, 2012 12:54 PM So just cus the Marines pulled Arturo Beltrans pants down,AFTER he was dead, shows that they are tough???

IT WAS NOT THE MARINES THE ONES WHO PULLED ARTURO'S PANTS DOWN AFTER HE WAS DEAD, IT WAS SEMEFO'S EMPLOYERS.

ON THIS LINK BELOW YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE SEMEFO'S EMPLOYERS TAKING HIS PANTS DOWN.

  33. January 3, 2012 8:03 PM AND January 3, 2012 8:41 PM ARTURO BELTRAN LEYVA WAS BRAVE I WILL GIVE YOU THAT BUT HE ALSO KILLED INNOCENT PEOPLE.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You people pushing this crap that he didn't allow kidnapping are either stupid, involved or a product of your enviroment. Arturo "Pants Down" Beltran died like any other punk with a weapon. Faggot would't even let his men that wanted to leave go. A TRUE MAN DIES OF OLD AGE AFTER WORKING HARD AND RAISING HIS KIDS AND HELPING THEM WITH THEIR KIDS ALWAYS STRIVING TO HELP THEM BECOME A BETTER PERSON. Kill them ALL Marines, drag these parasites through the streets naked until they die for all I care. You don't off Pineda Bros just cuz they do side jobs they must have fucked up in another way and he took advantage as a PR move to the public

    ReplyDelete
  35. When I was at cuernavaca people that I talked to admired Arturo, because he didn't permit kidnapping or killing of innocents.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Arturo was the boss of bosses because he was the leader of this old federation , this is a fact although not many know it.
    & he was the bravest.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The FEDA beat the mexican army , marines & federales aka chapos army everytime they werent ridiculously outnumbered . & a general was who gave up his location not sure how much barbie knew of this as we know he was in the hotel complex but was let go

  38. Heres the real story of Don Arturo

    http://noticiasnarco.forolatino.info/t27-la-verdadera-historia-del-pasado-del-marco-arturo-beltran-leyva

Just thought the people writing narcomics know the real origins of the Beltrans not just the fake one made up by the media that claims they worked for el Chapo they're cousin

    ReplyDelete
  39. @8:03 Yeah put me in my place, for writing the truth,I wanna see you do it.

You thought your idol Chapo was the only one against extortion, kidnappings and the killing of innocents, well you were wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Alot of people dont know that Arturo was the only one that could reason with Los Zetas,El Mayo El Chapo and El Azul have all before tried to reach some kinda of agreement with Los Zetas but they wanted nothing to do with them and thats when Chapo asked his cousin Arturo if he could do him a favor since Arturo had a very well organized team of gunmen, and thats when Arturo send La barbie to take Nuevo Laredo, yeah he didnt take Nuevo Laredo but the Zetas and CDG cus they were still together back then offered him a truce and allowed only him and his people to pass drugs, but he had to pay for passing drugs through there. They didnt allow Chapo Mayo or Azul to operate in Nuevo Laredo.

  41. Guess i must continue to treat beltran fans
8 03 zetas extorted and kidnapped people before, during, and after arturo died. Funny you think he had them controlled them.

7 03 He fought 400 marines? Or he was surrounded by 400marines and fought of the 10 15 or 20 who ran up to kill him. Becouse to me he was a cornered rat who had no choice but to fight. He was screwed and knew it. He had bodyguards jump out of windows of fear. He shouldve picked up more recruits from middle school kids to fight his battles. El ponchis mustve not been watching the power rangers while arturo got taken care of by la marina haha.

    1 58 your 100% right.
Like i said yesterday, no luv for any cartel cancer that is ruining mexico. The self appointed boss of bosses died like dogg. And showed up to hell with his pants down, and the devil waiting...rm

  42. Looks like BB holds the biggest Beltran Leyva fan community on the internet.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Yeah sorry you are right he was sorrounded by more than 400 marines but that doesn't change the fact that he died fighting an army that was sent ....not to capture him.....but to execute him that's the true as somebody said he was cornered so what else can you do and by the way the beltran leyva gang killed way more marines than what the news said and they where way more people downstairs fighting as well and yes zetas did do a lot of bad thingd after, during and before arturo was killed but arturo did take care of them his way

  44. Let's just say that all the narcos benefit from the downfall of other narcos. Either by death or capture. Since the the old days, when " El Padrino " was captured all the narcos benfited because they had territories structured to each other. Amado Carrilo had Juarez, founded the Juarez cartel. Sinaloa had El Guero, Chapo and Mayo then later Azul. The Beltrans were in the mix since those days as well working under Amado and later breaking lose and forming their own cartel and plazas in Mexico. The Beltran and Chapo situation is deeper than anyone knows, they are actually family somehow. But even in the narco world family means nothing anymore. While it was rumored the Beltrans did extend their hand to Chapo when he was in prison their story could write scripts for books and movies, that's how deep it is. When Amado passed everyone knew there was an oppurtinity to be top dog, so people tried to captilize. The federation was once that, a federation. But their was huge loyalty and success that the BLO's brought. They had alot of plazas and alot of backing from a spread out community in Mexico. When Arturo was killed either by actual intelligence or someone snitching. Several fractions broke lose and the structure was lost for a minute. That being said, the BELTRANS were when Arturo Beltran was around if not the top dog right beside Chapo, Mayo and el Azul. As far as moving weight and only moving weight. Arturo was a character, no saint by no means but he did what he did best and that was being a drug kingpin. Since his death, the ones who have been top dog have been Chapo, Mayo and Azul. No one in the narco world should be considered, honorable and loyal. They are in just that, the narco world. Don't bicker over what isn't worth fighting for cause one the next one falls someone will benifit from that.

  48. It funny how I just post a comment and everyone gets all offended,i posted 8:03 pm.

Specially 8:03 am haha its almost like he has a personal beef with Arturo.

All I did was state facts, maybe with the exception of the whole barbie giving up his location, that would be considered more of an opinion.

Zetas did probably extort kill innocent ,but were you hearing about them killing 72 immigrants or an insanely large number when Arturo Beltran was around??,think about that. They probably still did but not at the level they do now.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The authors need to get a life. Narcomics? Are you kidding me? Does BB see this as entertainment? Fun? Maybe clever satire?

Sure, everyone needs a little comic relief now and then. We'll all feel better for it. Let's have one based on the adventures of the Zetas Chief of Torture. That would be hilarious. He (or she) could crack funny, but meaningful, jokes while he shoves a 2x4 up your mother's ass. He could be shown training assistant torturers to hook your sister's tits up to a car battery. They all get a good laugh watching her jump and jerk around on the floor. Another Narcomic could tell the story of the treachery, betrayal and ruthless murder perpetrated by the narco chiefs in contrast to the many wonderful things they do to improve Mexican schools, medical care and churches.

I thought you got it BB. Guess not.
