Guillermo Castillo Rubio or Luis Guillermo Carrillo Rubio "El Pariente" leader of La Linea was killed in a clash with soldiers in Villa Ahumada.

CIUDAD JUAREZ. - A leader of the criminal organization La Linea, the armed wing of the Juarez cartel, was killed this afternoon after a shootout between soldiers and gunmen, the news emerged as on informal basis.

Guillermo Rubio Castilllo alias "Francisco Contreras" and / or El Pariente, was a leader of La Linea in the Central Zone of Chihuahua.

It is said that he controlled the transportation of drugs in the mountain areas, with presence in towns of Gomez Farias, Buena Ventura, Flores Magon and Villa Ahumada to Ciudad Juarez.

The Attorney General's Office offered up to a million dollars for information leading to his capture.

The unofficial version is that at approximately 6:00 pm, Castillo Rubio and a group of gunmen clashed with military forces, El Pariente was shot and seriously wounded. He was taken to Villa Ahumada to receive medical care while he was in critical condition.

The event happened after the slaughter at the Bar Far West of Chihuahua, where five members of a band that plays narcocorridos were executed, and after the arrest of a leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, Jose Antonio Torres "El Marrufo" in Leon Guanajuato.

  1. Maybe La Linea and GN will wake up and stop flexing their muscles so much in Juarez now. Funny though that La Linea goes down fighting but GN gets arrested without incident.

    2. Its spelled Cuauhtemoc, I know its a little tricky, and it is actually pretty calm right now, la linea does a decent job guarding this zone, its like a TROY city, as soon as someone gets word of a rival cartel being around they get taken care of pretty quick. If you happen to get pulled over handle it as a routine police stop, identify yourself, let them search your car and the odds are they will simply let you go. Not praising these dudes, but I know we could have a lot worse people around, plus they do a nice job with thieves, molestors, and other worthless scumbags that nobody really wants in jail anyways

  7. So this is the guy with the 'Tony Montana' dollar bill on the wall of his secret arsenal room?

He loves everything about Scarface, except the ending apparently. "I give up, I give up, don't hurt me or wrinkle my Armani shirt!"

  9. I like how so many people comment on here and they have NO understanding of how Mexico works (the politics, the courts, the militares, the police, and even the truly protected cartel leaders). You people just dont know the way it works in Mexico. You obviously dont understand the jails, the prison guards, the judges, all of it.....All I will say is that there is a reason CDS leaders go down without a fight sometimes. And yes believe it or not people sometimes these busts are arranged and agreed to so they can do their dog and pony show and everyone can say "wow Im glad that scumbag will be in prison forever" but you have no clue how things work in mexico for people who have the right connections.

    1. To El Labo..

I in all honesty would like the chance to know about all of this as you do. I meant with an open mind.

Probably a lot of people on here would like the same thing.

Do you have a way of sharing this knowledge?

      Regards...

  10. February 6, 2012 4:31 PM @El Lobo Wow I'm glad that you are here to explain how Mexico really works. I have to say my favorite show was the killing of Ignacio Coronel Villarreal, Antonio Cárdenas Guillén, Arturo Beltrán Leyva, Nazario Moreno González and all the other top gunmen. Now thanks to you I know the arrest of all the lower level capos like La Barbie, El Compayito, El Grande, El Mamito and many more was just to protect them better. Thank you Lobo you are a real smart person.

Mexico has spend over $45 billion dollars on this war on drugs since 2006 and I guess it was just to protect the cartels right?

You are a lobo (wolf) right, you know how dogs get to know people? they usually smell their ass to know how full of shit they really are.

  11. No!!!!

    R.I.P El pariente.

La Linea is not like GN,La Linea in reality have kill or get killed sicarios. The CDS members are teenagers who think that by joining they will become rich and powerful,(the ones trying to take over Ciudad Juarez.)

    1. He could have surrendered. If he's a threat and a chance to kill a soldier or someone else innocent, He is not innocent and had a gun then shoot and ask questions after if he is smart enough to surrender.

R.I.P.? Seriously? I don't think he is innocent of taking a life. I also do not think he ever gave the respect he had recieved from you here.

  12. So is this guy related to the Carrillo's from Sinaloa in some way?

It's interesting that he's being alternately called Castillo Rubio or Carrillo Rubio. The Carrillo Fuentes nephew who was killed outside Navolato last September was named Castillo on his father's side.

  13. @Siskiyou_Kid According to what I read on a news article in Spanish on 2010 this guy was working under El JL, I don't think he was related the Carillos and I think his real name was Guillermo Castillo Rubio. I have tried to find something new about this story but I haven't been able to find anything.
