The lifeless body of Jose Valdez Baldenegro, drummer of the band Enigma Norteño, was found wrapped in a blanket in the community of San Manuel, in the region of Aguaruto.
24 hours after he was abducted, the body of the victim was found in a corn field in the farm town of San Manuel, close to Culiacan Sinaloa. According to unofficial reports he was found with several gun shots to his body, had visible signs of being tortured and his body was found wrapped in a blanket bound with duct tape.
The musician had been abducted Friday morning by unidentified assailants while shopping at a mall in Culiacan. The abduction took place in the community of Loma Linda, on Maquío Clouthier boulevard.
At about 10:00 am, authorities received a report of an alleged shootout in the above mentioned mall but when police from various agencies arrived at he scene, there was no signs of the victim.
The group Enigma Norteño was scheduled to start a tour of the United States. They were scheduled play in Asheboro in the night club Enigma Night Club in North Carolina, while the next day they were to appear in Newton, in a club called El Señorial, and Sunday they were to play in Charlotte at the Calypso Night Club, all in the state of North Carolina.
This is what was announced on their Facebook page and a YouTube video, where members were doing a promotion piece and joking about what they were going to do in the places they were scheduled to visit.
Among the repertoire of songs from the norteño band there are songs that relate to events between Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera and Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada and the capture of Vicente Zambada, son of "El Mayo."
Enigma Norteño plays the popular song "El Ondeado" whose lyrics refer to criminal suspects involved in a drug cartel. Baldenegro Valdez was the drummer of the group of four people in the band.

I feel no pity for these fools that glamorize narco criminals to youth.
ReplyDeleteIts all about NARCO CORRIDOS....
DeleteShut the fuck up watch when u have a fucken bullet in your head for talking shit
DeleteEn La madre, sucks but this is what happens when you sing about or for a cartel. Musicians should consider themselves honorary cartel members once they sing about them. I think as the year passes, we're going to hear about more musicians getting killed because they sing about certain people or groups like Gente Del 50 or El Mini Lic.
ReplyDeleteWho's mini lic. With? What cartel
DeleteSINALOA CARTEL....HE'S THE SON OF LIC.DAMAZO....EL 50 ES EL CHOLO IVAN""""ATTENTION:MINI 50
DeleteMini lic its with cds he is son of el licenciado or el lic hes close to chapo
DeleteHe deserved it, as glorifying any cartel is stupid, he was in a band he wasn't poor like some people he had an opportunity to do well but instead all this macho bs about this drug lord or that drug lord makes me think that Banda groups & norteño groups are all pendejos as its always these types of musicians who glorify narcos! Ask yourself why????
ReplyDeleteGood,we don't want you singing that shit over here anyway.
ReplyDeleteHa! Amen!
DeleteWow how ignorant are you! Everyone deserves to make a living how they please to come to the USA because their jobs requires it! I hate people like you because I bet you haven't had the need to actually work! And sweat you behind so you can make money!
DeleteI agree these two dumb fucks talking shit are two fucken racist punk ass bitches
DeleteHello amigos!! Hey estupidos, when are these assholes going to wake up!!!!
ReplyDeleteyou play with fire you fucking get burned!!!RIP
I wonder what the motive was for this murder? Why do the Mx criminals keep killing Musicians? Granted the music is horrible, but so is the audience, but killing people, oh well its Mexico!!
ReplyDeleteNobody deserves to die for their freedom of expression no matter if you like or not a style of music or over a song. There is a market for this music and has been for generations. Culturally it is ingrained in Sinaloa through generations of musicians. To those who say he deserved it cmon. It isnt wise to sing this type of music with the risk associated with I agree but there is also risk if you dont sing corridos, your a norteno group and a local thug gets upset because you cant comply with a corrido request. These groups are damned if they do or damed if they dont.
ReplyDeleteThat death didn't have to do with the songs they sang in that case they would have killed the lead singer not the drum player
ReplyDeleteApparently another person was kidnapped at the funeral of this guy, the good thing is that this people (the cartels) don't killed innocent people.
ReplyDeletewtf...they don't kill innocent people....
Deletethat's all their doing
you honostly think that they only kill their rivels
yea right
Some cartel was offended because of the content of one of the group's songs and so they murdered the drummer but tell me, WHAT respect does any cartel deserve for the activities that they are involved in??? They're creating chaos in Mexico, they steal, they murder, they threaten ordinary hard working Mexicans, SHALL I CONTINUE HERE?!
ReplyDeleteRe: 8:37am "the good thing is that this people (the cartels) don't killed innocent people."
ReplyDeleteI hope your kidding! Or you're a complete delusional moron.
C,mon man,if dude was a player, well that can happen. But,he doesn't deserve shit if he just a drummer in a band?C,mon,he trying to get a way out of poverty and no money and all that good shit.Even if they singin songs about faces, they still don't deserve it.Sinaloa music, who else are they gonna sing about?Killing singers and band members, that is some lame cowardly shit. Its like killing fuckin Lil Wayne cause he talkin about gangs, and we all know he aint no gang-banger.Does he deserve to die for it?
ReplyDeleteApril 2, 2012 8:22 AM .Got a point though, why the murk the drummer? You would think it was gonna be the singer. If they not bad guys, they don't deserve that,no matter what the subject matter.
April 2, 2012 8:59 AM .
ReplyDeleteGracias senore, for the heads up,this is what this blog is for. They all on the radar anyway. It can get confusing sometimes.
I was in Michoacan last month and I had a norteno band playing for me and some friends at the toros. There were a few songs that I requested and they refused to play them. I respected that. To each his own.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what kind of music they sing, no one deserves to die like a fucken dog. but like i stated in my first post(second Post)Banda Culiacancito did a who cd dedicated to El Cholo, his brothers and his people. Enigma latest cd is all about El Chapos people including El Mini Lic. Grupo Sexto Sentido did songs all about El Mini Lic, his cousin Liebre and El Mini Lic people. Los Apreciables Del Norte a todo EL CDS and al los de Tijuana como El Aquiles y El Checo. I can go on forever. The Live Cds as well Codigo FN have two that stick out FP del Italiano y FP del Mini Lic...
ReplyDeleteYou Guys can do better with the description of el Mini Lic, his name is Damazo Lopez Jr., godson of el Chapo, son of a mexican politician/law official of El Dorado, Sinaloa. His father was in charge of Puente Grande when El chapo escaped, yet everybody fails to mention that, he was the key person in el Chapos escape. Google him, Damazo Lopez Nunez. He is known to be el Chapos right hand man
ReplyDeleteThank You !!
DeleteEvery famous group has a sponser the sponser has to be a Narco because I don't know how many people are willing to blow hundread thousands on musicans so they have everything they say el Guero Bastidas newphew of El Chapo was theres.
ReplyDeleteHes not going to be saying "ay otro" anymore! Now hes going to say "ay me cargo la verga!"
ReplyDeleteEl 50 is not El cholo Ivan its a nephew of Manuel Torres Felix
ReplyDeleteFrancisco torres el 50
Delete7:50 how the chingada do u know that? A ppinche assumption is all u have; maybe it was a song, maybe he was a moneymule, maybe money laundring, maybe he knew something, maybe he was going to expose the alterado movement is nada but a cover for the gay orgies they have in the sierra. One thing is for sure he died por PENDEJO. Lets hope they keep killing these perros that glorify this mierda with their fantasy stories they call corridos, especialmente the ones that stir shit with their music -caca and run like JOTOS in heat to the U.S.A.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Awesome
DeleteMan you say all this shit because you are all behind computers but a bet you that you wouldn't say it if otherwise, pinche pendejo no body deserves to die because of what they sing about. You all think you are though but it's because you all are seating behind a computer
DeleteAnother one bites the dust.
ReplyDeleteNo one deserves to be murdered
ReplyDeleteto all those who judge corridos freedom of expression should not be a reason to kill

He won't tell you his plan
He's got a rolled cigarette hanging out his mouth
He's a cowboy kid
Yeah, he found a six-shooter gun
In his dad's closet hidden in a box of fun things
And I don't even know what
But he's coming for you, yeah, he's coming for you
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet

Daddy works a long day
He be coming home late, yeah, he's coming home late
And he's bringing me a surprise
Because dinner's in the kitchen and it's packed in ice
I've waited for a long time
Yeah, the slight of my hand is now a quick pull trigger
I reason with my cigarette
And say your hair's on fire
You must have lost your wits, yeah
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, outrun my gun
All the other kids with the pumped up kicks
You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet

and i now it's not narco related but its related to murder of innocents and that my friend "no tiene perdon"
ReplyDeleteWhat people fail to realize is that these band members dont always get killed becasue they sing abount a different Rival Cartel. He was a Drummer, not a SINGER. Many groups and Corrido bands are apart of the Cartel themself.
ReplyDeleteEnigma Nortenos are the Propaganda Mouthpeace For Chapos Sinaloa Cartel.
It is an Open Secret that they get payed in Dollars from Chapos CDS for playing his Narco Mantra.
For All purposes....These guys are de-facto Cartel Members and payed for membership through their songs and with their Lives.
The Zetas also have their Propoganda Mouthpieces as well.
Maybe the same dudes that killed Guero Bastidas killed this guy.
ReplyDelete"Cuando me recuerden en las pedas qué se oiga el Guero Bastidas"
ReplyDeleteHe was also the composer and drumer therefore since he wrote the songs he wa killed!!
ReplyDeleteI have a strong feeling that the killers had to be sinaloans. Sinaloa cartel has always been know for these encobijados. This seems more like a message to cds from either beltranes or carrillos.

El 50 is El Soni
ReplyDeleteWho ever sings narco.corriods its in for u guys ya just sing and that's what happans when u sign too much info
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows it was el chapo isidros ppl with help from the zetas
ReplyDeleteGentlemen, cds uses corridos to basically recruit its young members by glorifying a life of lawlessness, money power and respect. I aint gonna lie i like corridos too i like da accordian and the images of a valient man having a gunfight with da soldiers and winning or dying heroically is sometimes better than a movie, but i know da difference bewteen fantasy and reality,in reality u rarely walk away alive after a showdown with soldados.best example is movimiento alterado who glorifies chopping ur enemy up and shooting ur rival with aks all to protect el mayo or el chapo or la empresa.wat these kids dnt realize is in such organization u dnt get promoted until someone gets killed or incarcerated .so yes music does influence people.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing but it's not their clock that is wrong. I think its because they are in a different time zone! Hence the post will be one or more hours before or ahead!
ReplyDeleteThr craziest thing happen my friend wanted me to invest in this group to go play at a night club i. Charlotte on north tryon name kalipso after thinking about it I just didnt see the retutn let alone a gain I thought that the owner probably lose money the days he brought in a big group andhe made it back when he had just a dj and the people came back cuz they had a fun nite there b4 or like the two times I've been to this club its the same exact people but anyway I asked a few ? And just didnt see it especially after I asked if for some unforseen reason they didnt make it do we gef are money back and they told me its theyr job they got to come but they dont give u ur money back I decided no I swear this is a true story on my daugthers life but this wasnt the unforseen reason I do.t really care fir the music I went for the females but either way rip man
ReplyDeleteI guess he was killed because he and a cartel member liked some girl. Or a cartel girl wanted to be with him, so a jalous pendecho killed him
ReplyDeleteIt's just like Americas idol TuPac. Same shit different country. They know what they are in for when they sing these types of songs. It is a big risk. Pancho Villa was a villan and an outlaw hated by America. He has his corridos too. Zapata and other revolutianary people have their corridos too. Things are different now. I'm sure Antonio Aguilar, a famous Mexican singer didn't have death threats in his era for his corridos. Different times. I love corridos they are always the best to listen too when I'm having some drinks. It just pumps me up. Like an African American listening to Snoop Dogg or a White guy listening to Emenem. Because you don't agree on my music doesn't mean you have to wish death on someone. Is like me wishing death on Lady Ga Ga.
ReplyDeleteIt sad to see what my home country has become but As much as I love Mexico, its gonna be a while before I go back. The biggest mistake that these artist keep making is that they keep goin back to Mexico. I know that thats where they are from but once you recieve money & fame, you become an instant target.

Hermano,i totally agree with you about The Lazca, this dude is extraordinary. He took the reigns and did this shit in less than 5 years,he stays completely in the background.I was surprised he dedicated the church with his name?I think he is one guy who is ready for whatever may come his way.He has allowed 2 pics of himself, and they were essential,i also think someone close to his family released the pictures of his children and wife, without his knowledge.
lolol the real crime is those damn outfits hahahha how the hell you gonna be a gangsta and wear cowboy hats and leather pants lolol i almost died to from laughing.
ReplyDeleteReally good comment!.freakin bucky.why don't u tell us what u wear.
DeleteI didn't know there was a correct way to dress gangster. Can you please explain?
ReplyDeleteLIKE THAT THERE IS THOUSANDS FOUND DEAD OR NEVER FOUND AND THE MISSING PERSONS RAPED WOMAN, KIDNAPPED, AND PEOPLE WHO DONT PAY EXTORTIONS OR TALK TO POLICE ARE KILLED.
ReplyDelete@ april 3 6:38
ReplyDeletedidn't know there was a correct way to dress gangster. Can you please explain?
the best way to dress a gangster is with a Beautiful spray of Bullets that will turn the gangster Bright red and glossy looking. After the fun of the dressing one can then light the gangster on fire and watch the flames change colors until the gangsters gone!!!
Its a Beautiful Things and so relaxing!!!
It's funny how people want to sound tough on here. Why don't u stick to reading the comments,u freakin jackoff.!!!!
DeleteARRIVA EL TALAYOTE SINALOA SIGAN HABLANDO PENDEJOS Y VANA SEGUIR LOS AJUSTES
ReplyDeleteAfter reading all the comments on here i can agree with some. The one that makes the most sense is the one were they killed him over a girl. My godmother is from culican and her uncle was a musician and they killed him over a girl to. sometimes these cartel people cant handle their women looking at another man and they go out and kill them just like that. Even though these men can have women galore.
ReplyDeleteIts a shame how people suffer now a days. This man was simply a musician who was trying to have a succesful career. Whatever the reason may be, no one deserves to die like that. May he R.I.P. Hopefully these self proclaimed "robin hoods" get there men on the ball and shape them up, there should be repercussions for shyt like this, its because of 18 yr olds with so much air in their ass and a rifle in hand that stuff like this goes down. Alot of these innocent people are prisoners of there own country. Its a shame, what a waste of a beautifal Country!
ReplyDeleteEl licenciado es un jefe, el mini lic es su chavalo asi como el mini 6 era hijo del M6....... The majority of these people are actually educated hence there still in the game. A combination of both book and streets smart........
ReplyDeleteThis type of music is glorified by most mexican people, this is what they want to hear, Thats were the money is at,And what better way than to please their own race. They are human beings that act like reporters, they only difference is they sing it in a way glorifing it.
ReplyDeletepal pendejo who put el cholo is not el 50 think again pendejo es el hermano de abelardo el italiano jesus ojeda says it to "llo soy el CHOLO EL 50 A MI ME LLAMAN POR EL RADIO"
