I dont think these countries should be fighting the USA's idiotic war on drugs. If the US doesnt want narcotics in its country then they can stop them at the border or spend the billions finding it on their own streets. Mexico should never have started to war on the cartels. It's a USA problem and the USA should deal with it if that's how they want it. All these other countries getting caught up in their war and getting destroyed in the process.
Another blame everything on the usa person. If you haven't noticed the drugs, corruption, kidnappers, mass murders, addicts, extortioners, money launders, etc are in all the americas so its their problem also. Ignoring it for so long is what has made it so unmanageable and hell on earth for the everuday citizens
That Dr he was interviewing almost seems like he has some vested interest in keep drugs illegal the way he was presenting only positive facts, misleading facts and sometime flat out lying about the state things are at and where money comes from ect...
@6:55, of course the Dr's and pharmaceutical companies have a vested interest. especially when it comes to weed. Do you think they are going to sit on the sidelines when you can grow a plant in your back yard that can help with depression, menstrual cramps, side effects from cancer, eye problems, and they are even finding that using compound (not THC) from the plant that is made into drops does wonders for kids with severe autism? They stand to loose billions of dollars! Instead of you doing what you want, they want to force you into having no choice but using their expensive rx's that have all sorts of side effects! As for coke and heroin, legal rx pills kill way more than the illegal drugs. Meth, that shouldn't be legal ever, as well as bath salts and some other crap that will do major damage to your central nervous system. But weed? The rx companies spend millions lobbying to keep it illegal and where it is. As does the private prison companies who need people in jail to make money for their investors. It's stupid to keep it the way it is when one out of six people in our jail system is there just for having drugs on them.
we need to remove legal penalties for ALL drugs and practice a harm reduction approach to drug abuse. In those countries that have tried this the number of AIDS, hepatitis C and STD's have fallen substantially, as well as the number of overdose deaths. Addiction rates are lower as well as drug use by adolescents. The 40 year experiment of the War on Drugs is a total abject failure and it's time to move on and admit it. We are denying many miraculous drugs from use that treat very serious problems we currently have poor success treating.
It's a big industry on both sides of the border employing a lot of people and carrying a lot of political power. Both sides has a vested interest in keeping it going.
eventhough its senseless but US either supports the runnig of cartel because there must be a US politican or a senior public servent.likewise Mexico, who is instigating the systematic war of never ending..clean the white house before going around the streets cleaning people who has hardly have a better conscience of having a better living. And on my personal prospective,US is starting to fade away unlike 80s & 90s were so powerful and fearful when talking about US, its superiorness is unpreditable but it starting to declose because the Golden Years & prosperous years had gone and nothing sustainable is keeping at its origial prospective"American Dream"nevertheless thanks US for the purifications of Democracy to the world today.
