| Chief Leyzaola shares a laugh with reporters after the intense gun fight |
A firefight
among ministerial, federal and municipal police with an armed group that
barricaded themselves in an address located in vicinity of the Avenue Municipio
Libre and Libertad Street, created terror among the inhabitants of that section
and resulted in two deaths and 3 arrests.
The Municipio
Libre Avenue, at the height of the Carlos Adame Street was closed to vehicle
traffic, while in Globo Street, lay the bodies of two persons killed in the brutal
shootout.
According to
official records, at least 10 men took cover in a two story building located on
Ulises Irigoyen Street. At that point
they confronted the authorities, from 8:20 pm for about one hour until they were
subdued.
The
aggressors were constantly challenging the corporations and at least one of
them identified himself as municipal agent.
The
Municipal Police snipers placed SSPM to repel aggression, while the
perpetrators often interfered with police radio frequency and challenged the
corporation by issuing warnings such as “Do not mess with Salvador Chairez”. Chairez is a local
leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.
The
vicinity was
bursting with police officers of all corporations and fire elements. Usage among the
different radio bands was compromised, which prompted the Federal Police to contract the armor vehicle “Rhino”, and advance to the
area of the intense gunfire. The bullet-proof vehicle was used to blast through the door of the building
and subdue the gun men, whom one of them
was a municipal police.
Julian
Leyzaola, chief of this corporation, stated that the clash started when a kidnapping attempt of a
woman was reported to the Municipal Police and agents of this corporation
located the group that was travelling with long guns in sight.
After
following them, the men took cover in the building of the Colonia Chavena,
located in the streets of Municipio Libre and Ulises Irigoyen, which in minutes
the gunmen were surrounded causing the confrontation, he added.
The chief
detailed that two aggressors died and two were injured while one more was
unharmed.

ReplyDeleteSo how exactly do you expect the death penalty to work in mexico? This is the country where prisoners were let out of prison every night to commit executions. The country where mayors are tortured to death if they dont cooperate with cartels. The country where information is almost impossible to find or verify.
How would you even begin to implement an effective death penalty here?
And also, its not like halcones dont already face the prospect of a lengthy, painful death today.

He appointed the apodaca prison director Gernomimo Martinez, knowing that he was removed in 2009 from a similar job at a prison for corruption. He reputedly allowed a group of kidnappers and extortionists, the gang of Giovanni Bautista Rodriguez, to operate from the Penal de Santa Matha prison. In the Apodaca prison it was the same thing. Prisoners were allowed to go out and commit murders. Then with the help of guards and the prison director, the zetas prisoners systematically murdered over 30 prisoners from an opposing cartel before making their escape. The zetas printed narcomantas saying that Medina was on their payroll. He denied it with the passion not seen since a briliant actor's portrayal of hamlet. Well what do you think. You just have to look at the guy to know that he is on the take.

ReplyDeleteActually its four left unaccounted for because the next day some of Chapo's sicarios attacked the police at the mouth of the Juarez Valley, the territory Juarez that the people who are backed by Chapo actually have some operational control over. One sicario was killed and you can bet your ass that this guy belonged to the cell that escaped the previous night. They probably went to either Riveras del Bravo or El Sauzal to restock their weapons and waited for a police patrol to enter the area for their routine morning drivethru.
ReplyDeleteI am positive that the guy killed was from the cell because they were sent from Torreon to mix in and operate in the downtown sector without too many problems. Since they fucked up the responsibility was theirs to retaliate. Locals only provided the guns and the stolen vehicle but physcially would not get involved because that would provide leads to the NCJ about who to specifically target in the Valley area.
As I have stated before, GN in Juarez is relatively decimated due to both war of attrition and to the fact that they have been pulled to fight other plazas that they actually have a realistic posibility of contolling. For now Chapo's people are content to have access to the ports of entry, but have settled to remain at a stalemate with regards to their ambitions to displace the Juarez Cartel structure and completely control Juarez.
So ... isn't this just La Linea versus Sinaloa?

It amazes me how ignorant we in the US are about the horror show that is a 24/7 ongoing nightmare the the innocent Mexican men women and children. They face hardship and danger trying to escape to the US and prefer to live here below the poverty in order to protect themselves and families. Sure, the bad guys are here too, but the ones who work hard and keep their heads down quietly go about living their lives as best they can. The revenue from the oil companies was supposed to belong to the Mexican people!

Julian Leyzaola is one of those few Mexican cops who are college educated and professional but at the same time are fearless like "Rambo" who laugh and go to sleep like a baby after gunfights with Chapos or Zetas.Another person like him is General Bibiano Villa.

ReplyDeleteIn Juarez La linea and the Chaputas are in some type of agreement because snitchaloa pays alot to the pjf for protection. Anyway its split in two sections but if either cartel is caught slippin they get canceled. I read this and I have family and friends from there that have confirmed. I just forgot the fuckin street name. When chapo eneterd he basically bought the higher ranking cops and feds for their info and then flipped them. He started killing them as soon as he found out what he needed and here we are. He snitched on them a shitload to make Culoderon look good and get some heat off his fagget ass. Everything in the majority of mexico was fine until he got greedy and started this backstabbing bullshit. He did it to the AFO in Tijuana and now Chihuahua but El Viceroy hasnt flinched or gotten caught. He's soley responsible for about 80,000 deaths. ATTE. Gente Cansada de mamadas!!

Knowing that Mexican prisons are corrupt the concern is for trying to avoid the occurrence of more loss of life if prisoners are permitted to escape from prison.
Mexico would foot the bill for the upkeep of the sent to USA prisoners.
