Second execution in 48 hours
Prosecutors reported that a state legislator who belonged to the Institutional
Revolutionary Party, or PRI, was murdered on Sunday, Mexico's Independence Day, in Mexico state,
which surrounds the Federal District and forms part of the Mexico City
metropolitan area..
Jaime Serrano Cedillo was stabbed, the Mexico
state Attorney General's Office said.
Serrano Cedillo, a "local legislator from the 25th
district of Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl, was hospitalized around 1330 hours on Sept.
16 and lost his life from the wounds," the AG's office said in a
statement.
The lawmaker was stabbed in Nezahualcoyotl, a city about
20 kilometers (12.4 miles) from Mexico C
"The Mexico state prosecutor's office will conduct
the corresponding investigation to determine how the incidents occurred and
find the whereabouts of the suspect or suspects, and will work in strict
observance of the law," the AG's office said.
Prosecutors did not say whether the lawmaker's killing
was linked to organized crime.
Eduardo Castro Luque and Family |
Serrano Cedillo died less than two days after Eduardo
Castro Luque, another PRI member, was gunned down.
Castro Luque was shot dead Friday night outside his house
in Ciudad Obregon, a city in the northern state of Sonora.
The long-time businessman was elected to represent the
17th district in Cajeme and was to have taken office this week.
Mexican President-elect Enrique Peña Nieto, of the PRI,
discussed Castro Luque's killing in a Twitter posting.
"I condemn the murder of Dep. Eduardo Castro. I am
confident that the full force of the law will be brought to bear on those
responsible. My thoughts are with his family," Peña Nieto said.
Mexico state Gov. Eruviel Avila Villegas, who also
belongs to the PRI, expressed concern over Serrano Cedillo's death and said he
ordered Attorney General Miguel A. Contreras to investigate the lawmaker's
murder.
"We will find the person or persons responsible and
will bring the full weight of the law down on them. My thoughts are with the
family of Jaime Serrano Cedillo," the governor said. EFE

ReplyDeleteCalderon never started it idiot! he went ahead and started trying to get rid of them yeh but they was around long before he came into office.
People also whine about his decision to fight the cartels but what is he supposed to do just say the government will surrender all arms to them? sure things are bad but they would be wayyyy worse if Calderon was not trying to fight the cartels. He can't win either way in the eyes of the public with dumb asses like you in it.
He did start it, it was the whole reason for the fraud in 2006. Put calderon to help chapo win mexico
DeleteEl Chapo is smart, innovative, and old school, but you people give this guy TOO much credit and El mayo and Azul are laughing there asses off in broad daylight while hes forced to be in his own personal prison no family just crooked bodyguards no longer under his command this lop has lukeimia and bone disease he's dying daily he doesn't care about plazas Or any of this crap he just wants to be in peace but that's what he gets his people messed up a long time ago and Calderon has had a personal beef with him for years, the Mexican government is smarter than you think z40 z3 arturo mochomo you people don't know the real bosses. The real bosses never touch a shipment rarely make an order and live on ranches in normal conditions and have children that are doctors and lawyers they the true brains realize peace and freedom is greater than luxury. I'll tell you one boss (real boss) hasn't left cabo San Lucas for 2 1/2 years the real bosses were never young pushers and shakers they're brilliantly smart men that financed these things in the beginning. Anyone who says chapo this and that knows nothing of the things in Mexico
DeleteSALUDOS from Tamps.
Yeah, great going! Whoever killed him destroyed the entire family basically: "congratulations sicarios, ratas del país, PIOJOS DE MEXICO!!"
ReplyDeleteJust a message being sent to the PRI letting them know who is really in control. Consider them warning shots.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Chivo on this one, either the cartels are cleaning house or the incoming administration. I was listening to a post by Bill Conroy last night regarding his take on the upcoming Zambada Niebla and he made an amazing point. He said that in the US when they want to get rid of someone outspoken, they will discredit you to the point you want to take yourself out, where in Mexico you are are just silenced for good, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI really hope all the people who do this get caught or killed. Eventually they will get killed.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have an update on the jail break in piedras negras coahuila?

ReplyDeleteCalderon started this WAR. In war many many people die = lots of bodies. The cartels in this war need to appear active in it. Most of the mass killings and mass dumps of bodies found are of innocents, because its easier than rounding up your enemies.
So in this sense things are waaaay worse than before Calderon declared war on the cartels.
The way I see it, the cartels and violence is 100% a cultural thing. No matter what the government tries to do nothing will change. Even if the U.S. were to intervene, NOTHING will change. We have all heard it before but think of Afganastan, if U.S. ever leaves it will still be the same as before.
So in the end legalize drugs or deal/work with the cartels.
Maybe let them be and make them pay taxes on their profits and then use that money on the poor? Who knows its fucked
In my opion Calderon is the only president with the balls to stand up to the cartels...n when there's war there's goin to be many casualties that's just how shit goes. 713

ReplyDelete"He did start it, it was the whole reason for the fraud in 2006. Put calderon to help chapo win mexico"
Guzman was fighting this"war"openly in 2004 in NL.
La Barbie/BLO,etc against CDG/Z.Cowards want to blame Calderon for political reasons only.People should have supported him,he saw this bullshit going on,and tried to do something, and has had successes, now it will be futile if the new phony EPN capitulates to cartel and money. This so-called war was happening right before everyone's eyes, but they somehow seem to forget this.So cowards like you would have it go right back to the rampant corruption?Bodies will still be getting dumped, and women will still be kidnapped raped and murdered, but the numbers will go down? What happened to law and the rule of order?Safety for everyone,,,you like having armed commands rolling around? All Calderon's fault according to people like like you?
@September 18, 2012 8:30 AM orale pendejo te mojas cuando hablan de snitchaloa? son iguales que los zetas.
ReplyDeleteChaputo snitchaloa from sinaloa wants too be your friend.
ReplyDeleteThat sweet little boy is going have to grow up without his papa. He will remember! Woe be unto the cartels when he and so many orphans like him growup and take revenge.
ReplyDeleteLol.

Chapo is everywhere and nowhere my brother. Chapo is free as free can be. You really think Chapo is hiding in a ditch like Saddam? Thats like saying Chapo had no idea the military were coming to raid his ranch, even though he got away every single time. Hell, the guy flys away in choppers when the military comes knocking, and you think he's not free?
