Coahuila State Attorney General, Homero Ramos Gloria, disclosed that four persons have been detained under investigation and three others have been presented.Ciudad de Mexico, 10-5-12 (www.excelsior.com.mx). Police and municipal officials took part in the murder of Jose Eduardo Moreira, the son of Coahuila former governor, Humberto Moreira.
"At this time, in a parallel manner, there are municipal officials who are implicated in the events," stated the State Attorney General, Homero Ramos Gloria, who explained that, for that reason, four persons are detained for purposes of investigation and have given statements this morning.
In a radio interview, the state official disclosed that three other persons have been formally arrested ("presentadas"), and they have also given formal statements.
Nevertheless, he did not reveal the names of any of the people allegedly involved, although he did say there were municipal officials and (municipal) police involved.
He commented only that the suspects gave the names of the persons who actually carried out the murder, but said he will not give out more details yet to prevent them from fleeing.
Ramos Gloria did not rule out the hypothesis that the death of Humberto Moreira's son could be related to the death of a nephew of a Zetas capo.
Sad story, but even more sad is had this been another common citizen, they wouldn't of had this much effort in security and effort in finding those responsible.

ReplyDeleteFox news is reporting that z3 lazcanos nephew was the one that was killed a few days ago.

el cazador callo en su propia trampa;

Mexico will not change or get better untill the people of the country rise up and demand an end to the senseless violence and corruption that has destroyed that country. At least Calderon has the balls to confront the problem. True, it's been hell the last six years but it's a fight worth having, it's a fight for the future of a nation. The reason the offensive against the cartels hasn't been more successfull is obviously corruption. Make no mistake, people that allow themselves to be bought to better their financial situation are selling out their homeland. The military is doing its part but if the people stand by idle and don't get involved the efforts will be futile. It starts locally. Folks must band together and fight for their neighborhoods and towns. Anyone known to be a narco or affiliated must be eliminated by any means necessary. This has to be about Mexico and her future. Some will say rising up against the cartels is certain death. I would argue not rising up is worse. Die like a bitch scared or die like a man fighting for his country. The number of people who hate seeing their nation destroyed far outweighs the number of people involved in the drug

DeleteA webo compa..Of course that dude was into some shady. Maybe not neck deep but some none the less. Its impossible to be around all that mud and not get dirty!..that name carried weight. He knew the time. And if he was so righteous, why didn't he go up against daddy? Surely he would b in a position to expose his AZZ!! But then he wouldn't of been able to reach such a position of influence..if it smells and looks like a RAT..it most likely Is!
Deleteyou stupid pice of shit Jose Eduardo was the ONLY one who people knew he was true to them. He didn't live a rich life his salary was the same as any other onest hard working man in Mexico. He truly care about his acuna. The town he was born and raised. He died because of the stupidity of his uncle I have no doubt on that. He hadn't even finished paying his cars and home. How can you say he was a rat. Did you know him??? Did you at least spent 1 hour of his life with him. No I don't think so because if you knew him you wouldn't be talking out of ur ass like you re now. He died a HERO defending his family he got on that truk where he knew that it was the last time he would leave his home. But his love for his familly made him strog enough to not fight and let them kill them know that if he would run they would hurt his beautiful wife and adorable son.
DeleteThink before you talk you idiots.
And watch his funeral
When have you seen so many people at a
Politicians funeral
NEVER. Do you think that it he was a rat like you say
it would have gotten such outcome
I was the and I could see the suffering
Of everyone. This is not fair
And I'm sure that god is great and
He will burn them all in hell
After they get tortured to death

ReplyDeleteIt seems like people are saying he wasn't a criminal, are you just speculating that he was or is it common knowledge in that area?
A rich man dies. Finally some investigation and outrage. But part of the hubbub is political and vengeful. Throw in poverty and you have the coals for the suffering that racks Mexico. Condolences to the family but so too to poor folk who lose their loved ones and have no investigation or protection.
ReplyDeleteOctober 5, 2012 1:16 PM
ReplyDeleteYeah I would agree that blood is definitely on the hands of anyone in the family who has profited from the cartels.

Cant believe shit the gov say either side

ReplyDeleteCristero,
You are right that Mexico is a beautiful place, with good people, and a unique culture. I can imagine a world where MX is not such a violent and impoverished country, were the US and MX could be strong allies, and happy neighbors each sharing in the pleasures and resources that the other has to offer.
Sadly this can never happen until both countries change there ways, clean up the rampant corruption that runs wild through out, and start looking at each other as brothers in humanity rather then enemies divided by our differences. Easier said then done as I believe the only thing that could bring about massive change is revolution by the people.

520/matt I fully agree with you, In that it would be a whole different world if we embraced each others culture, I am a proud Mexican-American and fully embrace my Mexican heritage as an American citizen,I have made it a life long mission to reach across the racial barrier and tell my Gringo brothers that i'm willing to fully embrace your culture and share mine. But i also agree that only revolution will bring us together. Ironic huh? Cristero
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to the Family, he appears to have been a good man, as most of the people involved truly are (as is the case in the inner city U.S., if drugs/easy money, weren't involved). My condolences to all of the families' that have lost someone in this senseless violence. I won't even pretend to act like I know how to solve it. It's too complex and will require much time, unfortunately it doesn't seem that the authorities have even started on the correct path. One thing is for sure, El Chappo and Z-40 are weak individuals on their own (not too mention their lieutenants). One thing is for sure, they will not grow old and die from natural causes, I hope the families' of those lost can take comfort in that.
ReplyDeleteIn reading some articles dated 2009, a military report stated "Two large and important countries bear consideration for rapid and sudden collaspe" Everyday this seems more plausible as the situation is becoming more out of control with the government. Very sad and hope things do not get that point, but not feeling it will get better anytime soon. The Mexico I have always loved does not seem to exist anymore.
ReplyDeleteI said it on BB when it first hit! Of coarse the Police and his Body Guards were in on his murder!
ReplyDeleteThis 28 year old kid had grown up with mayhem and murder being part and parcel of his father's
Occupation so No Way he would have let his guard down to get Wacked like that. This was done by People He Trusted Explicibly to GUARD him, Not Kill him! Sins of the Father someone said!
Anyone read the comment from October 5, 2012 5:23 PM. Apparently the Zetas are in complete control of PN - the local cops are helping them and there is no military presence whatsoever. Mexico is hopeless. Calderon is a weak ass loser. If I ever met the guy I would insult him right to his face. Nothing but contempt for the guy.
ReplyDeleteContrast Calderon fighting the narcos with Uribe in Colombia when he was president. Uribe meant business and he really took it to the FARC and ELN. Now that was a LEADER!
