Note from Chivis:
Excelsior broke this story at noon Friday, Unofficially reporting of more than five people being killed, including soldiers and members of the armed group, revealed a federal government source to Excelsior newspaper. Although the newspaper reported a 'leader' was killed, it did not name which leader of Knights Templar died though some blogs are speculating it is Dionisio Plancarte aka el Tio from los Caballeros Templarios (Knights Templar) see photo below on left. At this point it is conjecture by a couple of narco blogs, as it could very well be a lower level leader my sense is that it is more likely not him than is, but I wanted readers to know what the buzz is but present the information with a big qualifier. Noteworthy is none of the reliable regional media outlets or blogs in Michoacán are reporting the story, they have however reported two clashes in Apatzingan that resulted in deaths.
EXCELSIOR
Morelia, Michoacán, March 15. - An alleged leader “jefe de
la plaza” of the cartel group known as Knights Templar, died early Friday after
clashing with elements of the Mexican Army in the vicinity of the Alcalde community
in the municipality of Apatzingan , Michoacán .
The death toll could exceed 5 between soldiers and members
of the armed group , a federal government source reported to Excelsior.
According to police corporations, versions confirmed by
state, a convoy of three military vehicles crossed gaps of Tierra Caliente around
2 in the morning and found themselves faced with armed civilians aboard SUV
trucks.
They were ordered to disarm but far from obeying the order of
the soldiers they fired their weapons, thereby a shootout commenced.
The only way a cartel leader should go...guns blazin.
ReplyDeleteCommander Diablo is a midget, honest look in forum.
ReplyDeleteWill they announce his death like chayos or will it be another blackout and only the citizens know what's going on..I tell you EPN Isnt making it easy to figure things out or getting facts....Intel.suggests that he did indeed get killed by military forces, and that it should.be pronounced to the people of Michoacan within the next four to.five.days...wether or.not the media.outlets pick.up.on it is anyone's guess..

Without these young bucks, the soldiers, you would have absolute chaos, think about it?How much worse would it be without them, yes, they may do"questionable"things, but without them?
ReplyDeleteWatch how people hate this dude. You can't dress up like Knights. You can't pretend you're good for the people. You're not a real cartel. Good Riddance to fake cartels they will say. Gimme Sinaloa any day they will tell each other while caressing a boggle doll of Chaputo.

ReplyDeleteIt is very difficult to get information, it is up to the Mexican society to place pressure on its elected officials, especially the state level, to reject this murky reporting EPN has initiated. It does nothing to wrap the activities of organized crime in a shroud of secrecy, in fact it does great harm.
I am hoping that Michoacán will demonstrate their willingness to refute EPN and at least announce the truth, similar to what Sinaloa did when Fantasma was captured.
As it is now we are reliant on reliable citizen groups and sources on the ground, and messages from narcos. I am very fortunate to have good sources in various areas, but I no longer have sources in Michoacán. If anyone can help with that please contact me, either email, I have a Mex and US email, or by comment which will be left for me if it is a personal message, or thru the BB email here on this page, that will get to me also. We really are anonymous and your information will be treated as such.
Censorship is the best friend of those who wish to control and harm.....Paz, Chivis
Maybe the manner and means of reporting cartel news needs tweaking; just the facts and no glorification. Seems that some might argue that yellow journalism (sensationalism) just increases the problem as everyone fights for their fifteen minutes of fame in front of the camera.
Deleteits not him
ReplyDeletei know us american may not like to hear this but, it looks like mexican police and military forces see more action on the regular and are most likely more experienced in firefights in adverse conditions, so if i were in charge of paying mexico's armed police and military. i'd start to pay them what they are worth so they dont need to entertain any illicit offers
ReplyDeletepeople in mexico should start to do like the russians have started doing, get a dash mounted cam or some type of camera hidden in the grille or wherever, you people need them, so you can capture all the crazy shit that happens in public and out in the rural areas...
ReplyDeleteFor all the people that think that el Tio is death, you have to be that ignorant to believe it. I'll give some reasons this is not true. Apatzingan is the home base of the Templarios, and they have a lot personal working in that area of Michoacan. There are a bunch of halcones and sicarios that work day and night in that area even the Michoacan state police and the municipal police work for them. Why would el tio be in that part of Michoacan with the things happening in la Ruana? Use logic, a lot marines, army, and federales.. No good to be in that area if you are a high rank for a cartel. Finally, do not believe everything you read without prove.
ReplyDeleteUr stupid too and ignorant. let him die for killing innocents and kidnapping.
DeleteComo se a dicho antesLos caballeros templarios no se Rajan ante la amenaza de los enemigos sea quien sea aunque allá fallecido el tío se sigue rifando Al 100% en Tierra Caliente! adelante con la tuta!
ReplyDeleteQue pendejo eres. Its people like you that my country is a mess. I hate all these cartel cheerleaders. el pinche de la tuta es puro pedo.

ReplyDeleteHe is not dead. Televisa runs the country pri strategy is to misimform and as so say they defeated the cartels next election. Cartels will lay low and be allowed to work. And please Stop mocking the Ct no one has michoacan under control that is not michoacan zetas sinaloa golfo triyed it and see how it worked out. They have massive power and the plastic helmets were gifts for kids to indoctrinate them to aspire to be templarios when they reach 13 and older. Use your mind before speaking. Michoacan para michoacan not for sinaloa or golf or zetas or Mexican govt. The real revolution will start in guerrero/michoacan.
ReplyDeleteThis I believe -
DeleteThe Zetas taught "El Chayo" how to organize. If not CT or La Familia would still be running bales of "mota" down the mountains on donkeys..LOL.... michoacanos are treacherous dogs that bite the hand that feeds them..Indios Analfabetos....
DeleteCgingas a tu madre pemdejo. A Michoacan me lo respetas.
DeleteGuardia michoacan inside.michoacan is basically non functioning only.in their zones even there , their authority is not iron hand, its being.challenged on several.fronts,.evidence.of this.is the ongoing demolition.of el.chayo capillas across the strongholds, further evidence shows lfm /Zs gaining importance inside michoacan ..while knights keep.spreading out to.different regions with Tuta behind he push.to gain territories. if and when they show.us.el.tio is dead.the Guardia M is systematically and slowing disbanding in Michoacan

I thought he was killed 6 mos ago? at least that was what mundo reported?
Hey readers there is a reader (see 5:54) that objects to my posting this story. and honestly I always feel on the fence about these unconfirmed stories. However in this case since Excelsior and Proceso both ran it I decided to post it with a huge disclaimer because honestly I felt if he was killed regional blogs and papers would have something and they did not.
ReplyDeleteI do know there are reports of several shootouts and killings (see video for one) but even Excelsior does not name the leader, as I stated in my intro note. that was Mundo I believe that took that leap saying they were told exclusively.
I was getting many emails asking for the story so I decided to post it. I wonder what you guys think? I don't post rumor unless there is a qualifier of some type, as in excelsior. In this case I gave you all the facts and have been checking back for updates and felt you would want to know what I know.
or?
@5:30
ReplyDeleteand how does one determine facts when the government decides what can be released to the public? Under Calderon administration at least there were confirmations and a degree of transparency.
This is a new playing field and now we are without a comfort zone of verification. Nothing on federal websites and no word from government. SO the future begins now of cloudy reporting based on ground resources. That is not bad but no one has the luxury of stringers in every city that can provide verification and feed quality news.
It is a new, frustrating censorship, we can only do our best.
Chivis someone of importance to CT has obviously perished under fire, this story is already made most sights so it was a good choice putting it up, this sights better than most cause at least you tell us if the story's bit fishy..
ReplyDeleteQue a toda madre!

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know who is Lucas within caballeros templarios? I just heard it was him and not el tio who has been killed...just another rumor so take it for what it is, I´m just trying to figure out if it makes any sense.
