Riodoce.- José Rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa, also known as Chino anthrax, alleged leader of the criminal group known as "Los Antrax", was arrested by police in Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, during the morning of Tuesday, this was confirmed to Riodoce by unofficial sources close to the investigations.
Apparently, the apprehension Arechiga Gamboa was conducted at his arrival to that region of Europe. It is yet unknown if he was carrying weapons, drugs or if the authorities were just waiting for him.
Arechiga Gamboa has its center of operations in Culiacan, in the South of the city, and works for Ismael Zambada Garcia aka "El Mayo", co-founder of the Sinaloa Cartel along Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
According to the Federal Public Safety Secretariar archives, "Los Anthrax" are led by "El Chino Antrax", who is believed to be their founder, and a man nicknamed Sergeant Phoenix Antrax, head of sicarios, now prisoner in Culiacan.
Another alleged members are: "El Traka Antrax", believed to be the instructor, or recruiter; "Pancho Arce", fourth in the level of control and executed in Culiacan; a Hitman known as "Cheyo Antrax", among others such as those nicknamed "El Mele", and "El Roque"..

On February 22, 2012, Roque Landeros aka "El Roque", was murdered along with four other hit men more in colonia Emiliano Zapata. In both cases, the deaths were attributed to conflicts with sicarios of "El Chapo" Guzman, which also forms part of the Sinaloa Cartel leadership.

Online and print media in the Netherlands issued a report on the arrest of an alleged drug trafficker of Mexican origin who was "stuck" in the international airport of Schiphol in Amsterdam.
The detainee has not been identified by the Dutch authorities, but according to information not yet official, he could be José Rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa, better known as "El Chino" antrax, head of sicarios of the armed group "Los Antrax", which operates in Culiacan for Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.
According to the parool.nl news portal, on New Year's eve, the 33-year-old was arrested for constabulary drug offenses when he arrived on a flight that came from South America at Schiphol Airport.
It is presumed that Aréchiga Gamboa was caught at the gate, just [as he got] off the plane.
The precise information is that the arrest was carried out at the request of United States authorities, who apparently already were following his trail.
So far, what has happened is that the detainee has been "stuck" at the airport and may be extradited to the United States.
After the news, some portals in the State of Sinaloa issued the arrest of "El Chino Antrax", considered one of the leaders of the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel.
Note that José Rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa recently published in social [media] networks a video which shows a celebration with fireworks on the banks of a lake and background music in another language.
He also liked to post online trips carried out in different parts of the world.

ARRESTED
NEWS RELEASE SUMMARY –
January 3, 2014
_SAN DIEGO –Jose Rodrigo Arechiga-Gamboa, also known as “Chino Antrax” and “Norberto
Sicairos-Garcia,” was arrested Monday, December 30, 2013, at the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, Netherlands at the request of the United States. A federal grand jury in San Diego returned a sealed indictment on December 20, 2013, charging Arechiga-Gamboa with Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substances Intended for Importation and Conspiracy to Import Controlled Substances. That same day, the Clerk of the Court issued a sealed warrant for his arrest. The indictment was unsealed today.
Archiga-Gamboa was taken into custody at the airport under a fraudulent name as he deplaned from KLM
Flight 686 from Mexico City, Mexico to Amsterdam. The United States made formal requests for
assistance from foreign authorities via a provisional
arrest warrant and an Interpol Red Notice.

I think it might be stemmed from a personal grudge the U.S. government has with El Mayo, given El Vicentillo's past comments that the DEA was aiding the Sinaloa Cartel. Who knows. It may also be a civil war breaking out between El Chapo and El Mayo.

I was stationed in Germany back in 1980 and went to Amsterdam on leave, there was a big mexican restaurant by the river, El Jalisciense, it was owned by the Guerra family, they were from Guadalajara, I don't know if the restaurant still exist today, it was really nice. Some people just don't know, I went to mexican restaurants in Wellington, England, in Vicenza, Italy and in Frankfort and Ansbach in Germany.
