Three were killed in a clash between elements of the Mexican Navy and members of the group "Los Mazatlecos".and La Mochomera. The conflict took place in El Garbanzo, Estación Naranjo, Sinaloa.
Among the dead are Isidro Gastelum Luque, better know as " El Dos Letras" or "Chilo", and Miguel Angel Samaniego Pacheco, known as "EL Guero Pecas" (Freckeles).
The operation by the navy included both air and land forces in the mountainous community.
The third killed in the conflict is "El 32". "32" was second in charge in the 2012 deadly ambush of a state government forces convoy. 7 soldiers were killed in the Tetamboca attack. Also killed in the 2012 shootout was the man in charge of the ambush, Juan Pablo Osuna Lizárraga, aka "El 100" or Mapache. (at left) a lieutenant of Fausto Isidro Meza Flores , alias "El Chapo Isidro" leader of the Beltrán Leyva affliated group operating in the northern part of the State ,
Dos Letras was known for his taunting of officials often taking to his Fabcebook accounts (2) to issue warnings and boast about his killings.

Some of the mass murders atributed to the brutal "Dos Letras", in a 6 week period are:
April 21, 2013: On Social media a photo was posted of 6 handcuffed men in the Concheros comunity They were kidnapping and robbery victims, their tortured bodies were discovered the following day at an abandoned house in a black van. The photo was discovered inside the van.
May 5th, 2013: In Concheros, six bodies two decapitated
June 5th, 2013: 6 Bodies wrapped in blankets, all tortured before death
June 12th, 2013: 2 decapitated heads found in a cooler, belonging to former AFI agents who were state police at the time of death.

ReplyDeleteI doubt that Chapo Guzman is calling the shots but he is allowed to meet with his lawyer and family members on a regular basis. The problem for Chapo Guzman is that prison officers would be listening to everything they say. His sons are still part of CDS and still living large (as you can see on twitter and by the fact they are not dead). After a few months of uncertainty it looks like hits are being done to CDS rivals and not them.
I have been telling everyone for a since they got Chapo that there is a lot more to all this than CDS falling. They are the big boys with all the money. The other Cartels when the smoke clears will have taken huge weakening blows, way more than CDS. This is called politics. Hate on them all you want, CDS is here to stay. Do you see the peace in northern Sonora? CDS, people. They control the whole region. Chapo Isidro is getting a wake up call for thinking he was gonna start hitting CDS members cuz they were taking casualties. He was wrong. His turn to eat shit. El H? He is in hiding. Beltranes are weak as hell any more. Golfos, Zetas, Beltranes have some strength collectively. Apart they are not financially equipped to take on CDS. And they surely don't have the political power. Much of the chaos created by drug trafficking is for the most part created by the U.S.A. - specifically by govt. agencies like the CIA, Pentagon, ATF, and DEA. That is why the illegal drugs never stop coming in. A capo will be caught occasionally,; a cartel might be dismantled occasionally and slow the flow of drugs. However, the illegal drug flow will not stop as long as our govt. participates in drug trafficking. Elvis, pedro infante, and tupac where thought to be alive and their bodies where presented. Lazcano's body was never recovered. Less powerful people have faked their death in México. Recently some of those dead people have turned up alive and well. I think that looked a lot like Lazcano recovery of the body is consistent with the zetas. They probably dismembered and dissolved him in caustic acid. It's typical to do this to your friends so no one comes around asking questions.
