The tragic history of the Quinonez Nava Family
Two and one half years ago:
On October 11, 2012, the son of the late Mayor and Aidé
Nava, Francisco Quinonez Nava was
kidnapped; his captors had demanded 300,000 pesos for his release; the youth
remains missing.
Nine months ago:
On June 28, 2014, the husband of Aidé Nava , former
PRD mayor in 2009-2012, Quinonez Francisco Ramirez, was shot dead at the
entrance to the city.
On March 9th of this week:
Armed men intercepted Aidé Nava González vehicle on
the road to Chilapa, she was shot and decapitated.
The PRD mayoral front-runner candidate of Ahuacuot-Zingo,
municipality, Aidé Nava González, was kidnapped this week by gunmen who
intercepted her Ford truck at 6:30 in the evening at the intersection Tecoanapa, and Chilapa-Ahuacuotzingo road.

headed to the county seat traveling with her campaign team, when she was intercepted.
Yesterday, two days after being kidnapped, Aidé Nava González, was found murdered.
With her decapitated body was a message from “Los Rojos” cartel that covered her body, but her head was lying next to a rock on top of the banner.
Los Rojos are aggressively muscling their way into
territory previously controlled by their foe, the weakened Guerreros UnidosCartel.
The message read:
"This will happen to all the fucking politicians who don’t want to align with us, you fucking traitors.Attn,Puro Rojos ZNS ."
Her husband was a former PRD mayor in the years of
2009-2012. Was shot and killed in 2014,
in Tierras Prietas, his wife Aidé was
with him when he was killed.
All this violence, and it seems nothing changes, but the names of the dead.

I've thought long and hard about the above, and, cor myself, I concluded that only a violent revolution headed by COURAGEOUS and HONEST MEXICANS could pull this off.
Sadly, being realistic, the Mexican body (politic) is way too infected with the poverty, mal-eduction, violence, nepotism, greed, hedonism, and corruption viruses to ever be saved.
Also, Mexico is cursed with extreme "geographic" diversity (jungles, mountain, deserts, sea coasts, etc) this geographic diversity creates different Mexican populations with their own cultures.... and, this in turn creates different kinds of Mexicans....
In effect, the nation of Mexico is really many mini-nations (or kingdoms). Apart from the Mexican Flag, Catholicism, Telenovelas, Spanish language, there is little else that "unites" Mexican into a "real" nation. Mexico, is a house-dived-against-itself.
Again, I do NOT see anything on the horizon, that will change my views. Dr. Mireles seemed a hope for "unifying" Mexicans.... but, predictably, the corrupt powers that be, neutralized him.
Yeah, "Viva Mejico!" and "Mi Mejico, lindo y querido!" .... What hollow sounding CRAP.

DeleteLet's be honest about 'why'.....while every country is plagued w corruption and violence (as was Mexico pre 1980s) the overwhelmingly 'reason' is the fact that you live next to the worlds richest junkie aka USA.....this current climate is a direct result of Miami port tightening and Mexico being the only viable root left.....Was mexico perfect before? Of course not....but we fucked it up pretty good w drug consumption, arms dealers, and influencing foreign govs to find a military solution to the drug problem. We use the same policy in the middle east....keep a lot of disorganized cheap sources (of oil in this case) instead of one powerful source who could control supply and thus prices. Same goes for drugs.....if supply gets to monopolized (like it did w Sinaloas and Chicago) then the prices are high and the violence shifts to our cities. We Americans perfer our violence on other peoples land :)
