Its difficult to believe that the authorities didnt know where El Mencho Lived

Translated by Otis B Fly-Wheel for Borderland Beat from a Milenio article and additional image from Jalisco.gob.mx

[ Subject Matter: CJNG, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes "El Mencho"
Recommendation: No prior subject matter knowledge required]

There are small holdings that are located at the foot of the highway or in very rural zones; including his ranch at Villa Purificacion measuring 50 hectares and the biggest confiscated by the PGR.

One of the houses belonging to El Mencho confiscated by the Govt.

Reporter: Jorge Martinez

At the foot of the highway in the rural zones of the town of Villa Purificacion there are located some houses where the leader of the CJNG passed the time, but what the inhabitants cant believe is that State and Municipal Authorities didn't know that Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, was to be found there. Actually these small holdings were defended by Federal Government.

The properties of the Capo were know to all in this area, given its proximity to the villages of Villa Purificacion and Lo Arado.

According to Federal Authorities, his properties are located in the delegations of La Eca, Lo Arado and Villa Vieja. The last of the three is the point where, on the past 1st of May armed civilians brought down a helicopter of the Army and killed eight Military on board and one Federal Policeman.

"The Authorities knew, they could see the people who arrived in pickups at this ranch. Also, when the vehicles arrived there were men stationed outside the ranch, in the road, guarding. I have lived only a little while in the his place but it keeps happening, detailed a farmer who preferred to maintain anonymity.

The gates to Mencho's ranch

He related what occurred in the immediate surroundings of the largest ranch confiscated by the PGR, which is at kilometre 5 of the road that goes from Villa Purificacion to the town of Barra de Navidad, and that crosses the village of Lo Arado.

It is a property that measures approximately 50 hectares that two weeks ago it was confiscated by the PGR as part of the investigation PGR/SEIDO/UIEPCS/228/2015.

From the outside you can see a construction that is half the ranch, with fruit trees and also various stables.

The property lights are in disrepair, full of weeds, with no one watching the property. Given the magnitude of the small holding, for the villagers they find it incredible that none of the Jalisco Authorities knew where to find El Mencho when he was at this place.

Another Property, that is believed to have served as a guards barracks for the Cartel Capo, it is two kilometres from the Ranch, close to El Carmesi and a few metres from the village Lo Arado.

The arrow and blue spot mark the rough location of the property

It is known as El Palmar ranch, it has a kiosk, three farms, a luxury swimming pool and Salamancan linen, and a large parking area, some stables.

In the delegation of La Eca, in Villa Purificacion, SEIDO located another extensive terrain of 20 hectares, that they believe also belongs to El Mencho.

To arrive at the village it is necessary to travel 23 kilometres, between the road and the breach. For year La Eca was one of the bastions of Rafael Caro Quintero, leader and founder of the Guadalajara Cartel, who made various gifts of land and property to his colleagues when he was detained.

But for now this zone is dominated by the Nueva Generacion.

  4. Some people think this will never end. Has the body count goes up, every Mexican family has been effected by this war. The next generation who has grown up in this war will get tired of the killing. That's when the PRI will have problems, their will be a revolution. This new generation will take up arms and overthrow this government. The ones have run to the US will support a new government, and they will return to take their country back. Viva Mexico

    1. If USA sends troops to MX there are many youngsters that would love to fight and die for the earth and nation they came from. Any one thats actually served will tell you american isnt a world power. China Russia Iran India they have Nukes manpower and technology. Those are world powers they go into a place and get shit done. Ever heard of gorkahs? America goes into a war the politicjans are funding both sides of the war. And the arms dealers take the drug money used to fund black ops. So american never wins any more. The moral of the soilders is low fighting for skme ass hat to fund the enemy. Sorry im rambling.

    4. Every country that didn't believe the US wasn't a world power has been proven wrong. If the battle is worth fighting best believe the US will be there. When the Mexican citizens are ready to fight to win their country back from the narcos then the US will be there to assist their neighbor.

  8. this is what kills me. The government knows who owns the properties so why don't they confiscate them? These properties were extorted and stolen from innocent owners. is the government that dumb? A previously penniless puta who could not afford a beer now suddenly owns mass tracts of real estate? I guess he hit the Mexican lottery.

  9. No surprise. Here in Chihuahua the police, army and every government authority knows where every drug lord, sicario's and more live. I can literally go through a small town anywhere here in Chihuahua and the small pueblos and as you drive a person can point out every narco's house, their holdings (hotels, business and more). It is well known by everyone, and everything is in plain sight. But no one bothers them for fear of retribution. Also for other obvious reasons. Pay outs being one of them. Even the Mennonites in Ascencion knew where the kidnappers lived that just taken their relatives. They told the police where they were and they did nothing. These guys would all be easy to arrest if they really wanted to.

  10. Nothing new here everyone knows where cartel leaders stay and hang out. But if the USA does not hold they're hand and take them to go get them they simply say they just got away with a big smile on their face and a pocket full of cash

  13. El Mencho has positioned himself as the premier leader of the Cartel, CJNG, that controls the important plazas of Jalisco, Colima, and Michoacan, and the ports/cities of this plazas. With the control of those plazas come very lucrative rackets that any organized criminal organization would covet. El Mencho came up with very important figures in the world of drug trafficking which would explain his rise to power. A who's who of organized crime in Mexico. Figures such as: El Lobo Nava Valencia, Nacho Coronel, Chapo, El 85 Salazar, Los Cuinis, etc. In a sense, the Cuinis really have retaken what they feel really belonged to their Valencia side of their family. El cartel del Milenio and El Lobo anyone. As was the case with el Logo, Mencho is the one that remains free and in power. También a Abigael le puso el dedo. It doesn't hurt to have powerful people in power helping you maintain mafia power. Former govr. Gonzales Marquez and his govr. appointed heads of security tended to do exactly that. The same people Govr. Sandoval Diaz maintained in power and promoted I might add. Of course they know where his at. Uncompromised people just haven't gotten to him yet. - El Mas Loco 2015

  17. the United States protects certain figures until their time is due, once the shit starts hitting mainstream medias of the world is the time that these capos are really alone. Mexico might or might not know where a capo is located, but in the long run it all comes down to keeping in order, El Mencho probably pays piso to officials closely(but always very discreetly) related to figures with which whom the virgin mary would donate to... Once that contact dries up, fire up the RPG's, a last stand is in session.
