Rosarito Beach: El Veneno executed
As summer bears down on Tijuana and Rosarito Beach, killings continue to escalate.  Days after a Tijuana based Achilles cell was arrested in Rosarito Beach, a local leader of retail sales was killed. 

 Eduardo Garcia Perez, 'El Veneno' was executed Friday June 5, in Playas De Rosarito, shot 4 times in the head.

Unofficial reports link 'El Veneno' to Achilles, and it's reasonable to think this was retaliation by Arellano Felix cells, united under Cartel Nueva De Tijuana.  

This took place on the Streets of Leonard and Roca Mar in the 'Delfin' area of Rosarito Beach, a popular tourist attraction.  Since 2008, Rosarito has seen a drastic decrease in tourism, as the scenic, iconic beaches became a bloody contested plaza, as groups allied with El Teo and El Inge vied for power.  Years later, it seems little as changed.

      I think is possible to go sinaloa and kill rivals but it takes major $$$. And most likely a suicide mission....los ZZZ did it for a while when the BLO, where operational...otherwise the government in that state covers the Sinaloa cartel...just look back history when CAF tried to kill chapo, always hard but possible....

      The naco narcos are what keeps the cycle going. I feel very sad for Rosarito but I don't know well the city. I can tell you Mazatlan to the pueblos in la siera cosala, san ignacio, badriguato- no hay problemas y todo tranquilo.

    Not for me. If the banditos were at least partly civilized I will have no part of Mexico, not even to vacation. Too bad because the Mexican people and the country itself is beautiful. A damn shame really.

    Cartels feed on the poor, forcing them to do their bidding. Unfortunately, good citizens have no choice but to be victims of brutality, torture, rape, and murder as they have NO MEANS OF DEFENSE. I have heard militias are forming and bringing order to some areas, but they are hated by both the cartels, and the federales because they have armed themselves. Did I get this right? Are the good citizens not stuck in the middle of the fight between rival cartels and the federal forces? If not stuck in the cross fire, many are exploited by the cartels and possibly federal authorities that encourage witnesses to testify, but cannot save them from the vengeance that fallows in EVERY case.
