According to Federal Officials anyway, Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman Loera behaved in a normal manner this past Saturday at the moment of his escape. He walked back and forth 4 times inside his cell, in several occasions he approached the shower area, where there´s a blind spot in the video recording system. this is shown in the video below:




"This is a natural behavior for inmates who have been locked up for a long time", said in conference the National Security Commissioner, Monte Alejandro Rubido,

The Sinaloa Cartel leader´s escape took less than a minute. The last thing he did inside his cell was change his shoes, before he approached the shower area, where a vertical conduct was located leading to the 1.5km long tunnel connected to a house outside of the Altiplano "Maximum Security" prison.

At 20:50 with 45 seconds, "Chapo" is first seen in the shower and toilet area, the blind spot, He stays there a few seconds then goes back to his bed.

The druglord then goes back to the blind spot at 20:51 with 37 seconds, he bends down a little and then goes back again to his bed, where he takes a seat and changes his shoes in 26 seconds.

The last movement recorded inside cell 20 of "El Chapo" is at 20:52 with 11 seconds when he approaches the shower, bends down and then, after 4 seconds disappears.

The tunnel was equipped with light bulbs Guzman destroyed as he got out in order to make his chase more difficult. A motorcycle was found inside the tunnel too.
