Tamaulipas said Friday members of the Ministry of Defense National arrested in
Matamoros Angel Eduardo Prado Rodríguez, head of the Golfo Cartel in this
border town and premier leader of CDG’s “Los Ciclones”.
The suspect was the sole objective on that
list had not been detained since May 13, 2014.
His arrest was made in a raid shortly after six in the morning today.

the premises of the Deputy Attorney Specialized Investigation of Organized
Crime (SEIDO) in Mexico City, and is expected to be presented later to the
media.

Judging by the large
number of federal agents and by the nature of the operation, I believe that
Mexican authorities were planning this out for days and were very close to
"Ciclón 7" probably all this week. Shootings began early in the
morning on Friday in the Buena Vista and San Francisco (the former is where his
legal residence was), and then it spread through other sectors of the city. He
was captured around 6 a.m. when the Mexican military finally surrounded him.
As for his successors,
some people have been mentioning "Comandante Fili"/"Ciclón
385". We had speculated in a past at the forum that "Fili" was
at odds with "Ciclón 7". Apparently "Fili" was aligned with
a guy known as Gerardo Silva (alias "El Balaceras"). We don't know if
their grudge was real, but if it is, it is very likely that they pushed for
"Ciclón 7's" fall, given the fact that the government had him on
their radar. Another possibility is "Tony"/"Ciclón 11", the
brother of the fallen "Ciclón 4". Then there's "Chichiquema"/"Ciclón
12". There were past rumors that they wanted "Ciclón 7" out of
the game back in 2014. Itzli and I speculated that these rumors were part of a
large campaign of lies created by other members of Gulf Cartel to create
distrust and confusion within the ranks. But it seems that things are taking
their natural course of action anyways.
Now, there's apparently
a different group in Matamoros that was against "Ciclón 7" too. Big
names in that alliance are Carlos "El Cuate" Martínez, Secundino Mata
("El Dino"), Juan Ángel Trujillo Gutiérrez ("Negro" ?).
"El Cuate" is married to a member of the Cárdenas clan, but he
apparently waged a war with Los Ciclones because he wasn't given the high
position that he wanted. He is widely regarded as a violent and explosive guy,
so this makes sense. If a Cárdenas member were to take "Ciclón 7's"
place, my guess would be Mario Alberto "El Beto" Cárdenas Medina.

DeleteWho ever you are your story is false. Cuate is not married to marios daughter it's osiels daughter. This family was well off even before he got married to her. Remember money sticks to money. Of course they might have gained financial gain from this but the Martinez family has always been known to be well off. The last thing his father inlaw wants is for him to put his family in danger. The way this family operates is they don't let the bosses family get their hands dirty they simply kick back and receive there money. In other words there is no need for the cuate to get involved. There is no need and there never will be.

DeleteHe has a uncle and some cousins in Texas that where big in the game. His uncle that some called el tio spent a long time in prison in Texas. El tios son known as lulu was also a big time distributor. The word is that el tio was kidnapped in N.L. Just outside of Monterrey. This is the only ties i know of any of his family having anything to do with the drug game. El tio from what I have herd has been involved with drug cartels since the late eighty's early 90's but the cuate and his father have always been legit. I have been told that el tio is still missing but it could be that he is hiding. As for his son lulu I have been told that he is laying low. I have also been told that lulu wants nothing to do with that lifestyle but who knows. A lot of people came up when el tio came up missing.
