Federal forces detained Alejandro Castro Alfonso, alleged leader of the Zetas in Poza Rica and Orizaba, Veracruz, he is one of the 122 priorities of the actual Government, informed Renato Sales Heredia, National Commissioner for Security.
Castro Alonso, who also goes under the name Pascual Sandoval Oritz, is related to a criminal group dedicated to drug trafficking, robbery and the theft and sale of hydrocarbons, as well as extortion and kidnapping.
The alleged capo had criminal cells under his control that carried out drug dealing in Oaxaca and Veracryz, as well as some cities in Chiapas and Campeche.
Also he controlled other groups dedicated to Gasoline theft in Campeche and Veracruz.
Sales Heredia said the detention of Alejandro Castro Alfonso, was the result of six months of investigation, that they identified him moving in a car in the Boulevard de las Naciones, in Queretaro.
In this city they carried out the operation that permitted his capture without firing a shot, he added
At the moment of his detention, those responsible found a rifle, spare magazines and an amount of wraps with allegedly cocaine inside, they also confiscated his vehicle.
According to Sales Heredia, this person is responsible for the transit of drugs from the south of the country to Tamaulipas and Coahuila.
The detained was being held at the PGR centre in Queretaro while the investigation is integrated with other corresponding agencies.
According to the Commissioner, with the support of a group of persons, the now detainee was able to go unnoticed by authorities, and previously escape from authorities using small compact cars that blend in with all the other vehicles.

Hahaha of course they did. I remember reading a BB post about how the government might be just arresting low level members or hit team bosses like that 'cherrys' guy and then saying that they are priorities. They have definitely weakened the cartels in the east especially Tamps though.
