The shootout left five suspects killed and one Marine injured. Six people were arrested, according to the release. The Marines also confiscated four vehicles, including two armored cars, and a cache of weapons, including a rocket-launcher.
The special forces were responding to a citizen’s tip regarding armed people in a home when they came under fire, the navy said. There were reports he once again attempted to flee through the tunnels that have been his trademark, but they failed him this time.
After Guzman and some associates reportedly hijacked a car, the owner contacted the police, which led the marines to a nearby hotel. The marines burst into a room to surprise the 58-year-old drug lord, filthy and exhausted from his time on the run. Guzman surrendered. The marines had recaptured the world’s most wanted drug trafficker, six months after his escape from Mexico’s top security prison, giving a much-needed victory to President Enrique Pena Nieto.
Photographs released by officials and circulating in Mexican media showed a chubby Guzman in a soiled tank top with his famously preternaturally jet-black hair and mustache.
“Mission accomplished: we have him. I want to inform Mexicans that Joaquín Guzmán Loera has been detained.”

One was killed in the house were Chapo was hiding, 3 were killed in the neighbor's house as they try to escape by jumping over walls and rooftops and the other one was killed 3 houses down.

The man could of been a respectable C.E.O of a fortune 500 company if he was able to get a collegiate education but after what he did in his previous attempt at capture, in the mountains, when he held his cooks child so the military wouldn't shoot at him...
