Tijuana: Violence continues to spiral

Tijuana: Public executions continue

Violence tends to follow a trend in Tijuana, constant escalations and killings that threaten to return to the gruesome public atrocities that infected the city in 2008, in the months after El Teo and El Inge's gunmen publicly severed ties.  That shootout at Insurgentes bridge left 15 dead in the aftermath of a running gun battle, cars and businesses and bodies were riddled with high caliber bullets when it was over.
The headlines and panicked cries of the public followed, and began the exodus of Tijuanese to San Diego communities, like Eastlake, Bonita, and La Jolla.  The body for body, limb for limb war also began, which destroyed any illusions of Tijuana's drug mafias, not having carte blanche in the city.  In the wake of that war, much as changed, leaders and depraved enforcers are captured, killed, influences are sold, resold, and sold again.

Police chiefs, mayors, and governors cycle in and cycle out.  The Zeta publishes weekly.  The violence has yet to spill over the brutal metric of the 2008 years, but the widespread fears and insecurity continue to plague Tijuana.  Killings, shootings, and public displays of bodies always smooth out, just before boiling over.  The last few months in Tijuana have reached this level.  Dozens of murders, many in public, restaurants, as families dine, and later sit in shock, as killers empty bullet after bullet into their target, whose blood swims on the floor.  Bodies are found throughout the city, lower profile murders happen multiple times in a day, in neighboring colonias.

An 18 year old was shot 8 times, and killed this morning in Terras De De Valle, Omar Perez, executed around 5:00 AM by gunmen.  Last night, 4 gunmen entered the often crowded, large, Plaza Rio at killed a man who worked at a Currency Exchange, shooting him repeatedly, and stealing a bag the man carried, as he lay, dying.  The bag presumably contained the days take.  Currency changing facilities are known to launder drug proceeds, and would be an easy target for rivals, though nothing has been linked to organized crime in this case.  4 men to kill and rob one man, speaks to a planned murder, less then a simple robbery.

And bodies keep turning up, in Playas, one mans body found decomposing in a 2003 Volkswagon, with Guerrero plates, and another bag of dismembered body parts tossed out of a truck in Lazaro Cardenas Colony, in the morning.  The body parts were in black bags, and tied with tan tape.

The PEP arrested Daniel 'El Danny' Medina Ortega, a former employee of the detained Hugo Godoy, 'El Moreno' who ran distribution cells and killed many rivals in 2014 and 2015.  The cells were under Los Uriartes and fought Los Mayos.  Many 'Dannys' remain in Tijuana, 20 year old kids, knifes slick with blood, cell phones full of pics of bodies, 9mm's in their reach...

    1. It will never end my friend. It's moved into central california as there is a shooting in Salinas almost every day. Gang initiations. We may get a grip on it in California but Mexico is screwed for good.

Just stating what the fuck is wrong with you people?Killing each other, but the mantra of blame will blaze 'yo gringo, its all your fault'
And the situation stays the same, people have to be responsible for their own actions, many humans can kill, but they abide by rules and law,no law or responsibility, what do you have?Take a fuckin wild guess, people killing people cause they can?

    3. new Wikipedia for the Arellano Cartel... A cartel that was wiped out, that doesnt exist anymore but yet has accumulated more financial power and strength in numbers in these last couple years. enough to have full control of its plaza. eliminate their enemies, and yet have the enemy take all the blame while they sit back and take care of business as usual. thats the new phase of the Arellano Felix Cartel. 6. To the gringo: The U.S. has by far the highest murder rate of any developed nation. It's 5.2 murders per 100,000 people. That makes people in other countries, like Austria with fewer than one murder per 100,000 ask of Americans: What the hell is wrong with you people?"
I look at the slaughter of babies at Sandy Hook and any number of other recent acts of wanton mass murder--Riverside was an act of legal U.S. residents-- and say gringos ought to get their own house in order before scolding Mexico.

    1. You forgot to mention Mexico's per 100,000 murder rate which is I believe 24-28 long way off from US's.That's probably a low number too as Mexico skews it's ststistics! just a traveller

      Delete
    2. And you forgot to mention that the U.S. is the world's leading consumer of illicit drugs, which in turn fuels Mexico's murder rate. Stop abusing drugs, gringos, and the drug killings stop in Mexico. Really, Americans are in no moral position to lecture Mexico on anything.

    3. 1:47-I don't think it matters that US has a drug problem,it's the world,Europe,Asia,Austrailia. Now Mexico has a drug problem and that's spiking the violence. There's Compton's all over the place.Even guys that never smuggled ever to US.It's a local retail drug problem.Fighting over street corners.

    4. 3:33-good point. You are right if you add the disappearances it sure would blow those 20 some per 100,000 away.I also read on here I believe that Mexico reports it differently on multiple murders so if 7 guys are slayed it counts as 1[stupid really] so now we are on par with Jamaica at 60 some per 100,000.

    5. To all those who want to somehow blame America for the killings in Mexico...are you mentally insane? Do you NOT know that you should NOT kill? Especially your OWN country-men? HOW does drug use influence THAT decision making, that knowledge? Also, because I buy gasoline I am ALSO responsible for anyone getting hurt pumping oil? How the hell does that make any sense? Dumbest thing I have ever heard. Here is something much simpler: TAKE FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND SITUATION and stop BLAMING others for your ignorance and inability to do the right thing. "I am a drug dealer because the users in America make me". Great logic ONLY used by idiots. Move on...

    1. what people don't know about that war is that el Teo was working for La Familia Michoacana when he got caught. I worked with a guy from tijuana and he even told me it was true. Michoacanos and people from guerrero got Tijuana more violent. at the time they were helping out people from C.D.S. now CJNG is in Tijuana and after they put mantas anouncing their arival, it got violent again.I wonder who CJNG is with and against in Tijuana. it would make an enteristing story. just saying...

CAF took a lot of blows to the structure when CDS broke the truce.

The way they did it with CDJ CDG and CAF. Come in pay piso. Build tunnel. Find the inner workings of rival Cartel. Inform on rival Cartel. Take all free agents after rival Cartel can not pay them. Have the new agents arrested and replaced with CDS. Play corridos about how CDS single handed brought down a beast. And run for dear life if they come back to take the plaza like CDJ and CDG.

Now CDS is taking a lot of blows to its structure. They should just be happy consolidating. They are growing poppy and have always had the Arizona corridor... greedy fucks hope it was worth it now the tables have turned just go back to Arizona .

    4. 2:49 El Teo did work for la Familia, smart ass. I knew people would not believe me but there are some facts about how at the time of the war in Tijuana most of the people killed or arrested there were from Sinaloa, Michoacan, and guerrero. La Familia Michoacan
was made up of mostly people from guerrero and Michoacan. Do some reaserch before you make dumb comments. I am not from Michoacan but I have been following this so called "war on drugs" and know Michoacan is a Huge factor in this drug game.

You ought to know that, this is the result of removing what most consider as true plaza owners.

When plaza bosses are jailed or shot you know the sicario cell leaders fight each other to take over the leadership.

As a result of the in fighting, the plaza is heated, lots of people end up dead and outsiders such CJ and CT create strategy to move in.

The EPN strategy to remove the plaza bosses is not working obviously so, a change is desperately needed however, EPN does not have the balls to recognize this failure so you, I and the rest of Mexicanos will continue to suffer.

Un cambio de estrategia es necesario. Pero ya!!

      Delete
    2. What's up with that EPN's strategy?Does that mean gov no longer charging piso or is it they collect piso or plaza ownership from everyone is more likely then take them down.Hey more$ to collect from 6 cartels then just continue selling the plaza to everybody. The more the merrier[$$]!
