The offender is the brother of José Luis Mendoza Uriarte, aka "El Guero Chompas" both cousins of Raydel Rosalio López Uriarte, aka "El Muletas" all responsible for killings and related violence in Tijuana in recent years.
According to intelligence from the SSPE, "El Chapito Uriarte", was considered a major criminal target since he is responsible for multiple executions derived by conflicts with rival drug gangs. At his command he had dozens of criminal engaged in drug distribution, arms purchases, and executions, among other crimes.
In the statement issued by the authority, they noted that on the operation several of his top aides were also captured in possession of firearms, drugs and cash.
SSPE said that at a later time they will release more information about the capture of Francisco Javier Mendoza Uriarte.
