Two Catholic Priests Kidnapped from Church and Killed

Translated by Chuck B Alamada for Borderland Beat from a 24 HORAS article
Tuesday 20, September, 2016

VERACRUZ-This morning (Tuesday September 20), armed men forced their way into a Catholic church located in Poza Rica, Veracruz with the intention of kidnapping two priests. Hours later, the lifeless bodies of the two priests were located near a placed called “La Curva del Diablo” (the devil’s curve). According to reports, a group of armed men arrived at the Nuestra Senora de Fatima church in the Petromex neighborhood where they kidnapped priests, Alejo Nabor Jimenez Juarez and Jose Alfredo Juarez de la Cruz and their assistant.

Neighbors of the church notified police of the kidnapping and an operation to find them was launched.

Minutes later, the assistant was located alive near the Poza Rica-Papantla roads with obvious wounds. It was determined that the assistant was able to escape his captors. Hours later, the bodies of the two priests were found also near the Poza Rica-Papantla road, in the Reforma Escolin community located within the Papantla municipality.

Both priests were tied and showed obvious signs of multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of the body to include the face.

According to the Centro Catolico Multimedial, there have been 14 priests and one seminary student murdered as well as two priests that remain missing in Mexico since President Enrique Pena Nieto took power in 2012.

Veracruz is currently the bloody stage that has witnessed a war between Los Zetas and Jalisco Nueva Generacion which both seek to take over the narcotics trafficking routes to the US, the theft of fuel from PEMEX, as well as kidnappings, extortions against residents and migrants from Central America.

I can tell you, preaching the "Teologia de la Liberacion", just being accused of it, has cost many priests their lives in LatinAmerica already, to barbarian anti-guerrilla paramilitary and military forces doing dirty work for the government, and these forces usually are.commanded by graduates or disciples of the schools of the Americas franchises, the idea is to sow terrorism sponsored by the state, the point is: I don't know, ask the government...they usually unleash the terror and come to punish the citizens, torturing some until they confess, and they are making all kind of laws to enhance their powers, like ley bala, ley mordaza, ley fayad, ley noti nojes, y la ley "no me arrebates la bandera tan juerte, brutooo" de la gobernadora manoella velasco coello, now a famous teacher murderer and tormentor...from chiapas...

    4. Wake up; smell the coffee. 'War was declared' on the DTO's. It just has not been effective. The US needs to fund prevention/education efforts not just fun'in and gun'in.

Javier duarte de ochoa covering up his tracks, by the way the priests work with the poor, but epn's secretary in charge of ending poverty (or at least fighting it, "say NO to poverty") ROSARIO ROBLES, stole the "money for the poor" programs and now is murdering the poor in cahoots with duarte de ochoa and epn, there is nobody more miserable than duarte, epn and Rosario Robles in veracruz, they want no competitors there.

--the "CAF" did not murder cardinal juan jose posadas ocampo
--they did not shoot at el chapo
--"somebody else" set them up to be at the airport at that time
--it was a crime of state forged by pgr jorge carpizo mc gregor
--policia judicial federal shot and killed the cardinal and his driver more than 10 times each, and the car about 40 times, it was no stray bullets anywhere there but the ones that hit the car.
--benjamin arellano felix refuses to talk about it
--el chapo guzman refuses to talk about it
--the mexican government in its infinite stupidity says CAF was trying to kill el chapo, AND arrests and imprisons el chapo.
--the job was done ordered and carried away by and for "presidente" carlos salinas de gortari, the pope knows, the PGR knows, but it is all a OK...
--Don't let the bad guys perpetuate their lies...

  5. The article mentioned that the cartels are fighting for control of routes to the US, kidnappings and theft from PEMEX. What it doesn't mention, and most articles don't , is the fact that Mexicans are becoming drug addicts just as much, if not more, than the US counterparts. The cartels are now fighting for control of plazas to sell the the residents. There is a lot of money to be made there.

    1. Right on , been seeing this with my own eyes for years now , no family is immune to the scourge , here or in Mexico and wherever else this crap is peddled all over the world. Dinero less drug addicts everywhere , kids I have known since they were babies and I know how good they were raised, parents too.........abuelos rolling in their graves. it's all just so sick.
Also , I just cannot understand who or why the narcos or dealers are lacing their drugs that kills their customers /consumers , that just a stupid business plan.
As for the poor priests: hey we can't just assume they were pedophiles. Good Priests and Nuns all over have tried to help the poor, sick , dying, families and political prisoners all over Latin America and elsewhere for years.

    2. 9:36 isn't it funny how as mexico gets "privatized" drug addiction and drug trafficking is the only thing left for those biiig baaad evil mexicans?
Well, that is besides emigrating, kidnapping, extortion, plaza quotas or paramilitary jobs don't dirty jobs for the mexican government, their federal or fuerza estatales, or the army and marinas trying to save mexico from the poor by getting rid of them, all going as planned a while ago, since contraceptives politics did not "work" now they are trying depopulation by other means.
Feel free to go and murder ten mexicans a day, the porer the better, they must be all drug addicted traffickers, them millionaire poor mexicans "with a lot of money to be made there"

  6. Why are priests being murdered? Is this plata o plomo? I'm just stunned and can't think of a reason why priests would have to die. I know thousands of innocent people who are not priests disappear or are murdered also, but this keeps getting more sad and horrifying.

I have nothing but respect for this operation and its articles are top notch and have always played in a field and style that doesn't fail to immerse.. could one request be looked at and maybe a feature implemented maybe, could within each article could a silhouette of the nation with a dot where these happenings occurred be included in the layout of articles? I sometimes get confused and I am often ignorant as to where some of these cities are located,l I just think it would be good to familiarize those who may not know but, who are interested in the happenings in this never-ending drug-war that is feeding your citizens into the grinder
