After spending 31 years in jail, one of the assassins of Kiki Camarena is now free

Original article available at ZETA  Translated by El Wachito

Francisco Javier Tejeda Jaramillo, one of the accused of the murder of DEA agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena Salazar, an active Drug Enforcement Administration officer, was released Friday morning, of October 28 from the Reclusorio Norte in Mexico City, after spending 31 years and 4 months in prison.

The assassin of the DEA agent, started his sentence on June 11 of 1985, and at the moment of his departure from prison he claimed that he was innocent and that the Mexican government "forced him" to confess his involvement in the conspiracy to murder "Kiki" Camarena, according to Milenio newspaper.

After DEA Agent Camarena Salazar was able to infiltrate the ranks of the Guadalajara Cartel, funded by Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, alias "El Padrino", the druglord ordered his kidnapping in February of 1985 and agents of the extinct Direccion Federal de Seguridad, at his service, kidnapped Camarena and torture him until he died.
Kiki was born in Mexicali, Mexico

Others imprisoned by the murder of "Kiki" Camarena was the Sinaloan druglord Rafael Caro Quintero, one of the main druglords of the 80s, who later on spent 29 years.

In an interview conducted by journalist Anabel Hernandez, and later on published by Proceso newspaper, Caro Quintero assured that he didn't kill the DEA agent, and that he was "at the wrong place at the wrong time".

"I never heard about that case before, this is the first time... I didn't kidnap him, I didn't torture him and I didn't kill him (Camarena). I was at the crime scene, that's my only participation", said one of the main past boss of the Guadalajara Cartel, who after he disappeared gave origin to the one in Sinaloa.

During the interview, the drug lord who is from Badiraguato, requested forgiveness from the Mexican society, to the DEA and to the American government for the murder.

Kiki was a U.S. Marine
"I only seek peace and I ask the Mexican society to forgive me for the errors that I committed, to the Camarena family, to the DEA, to the American Government, I ask for forgiveness. I paid my mistakes, I spent 29 years in jail", said back then.

Quintero is accused by the DEA of being the intellectual actor of the kidnapping and the murder of Agent Camarena in 1985. Back then he was the owner of "El Bufalo", a ranch that is close to Jimenez, Chihuahua, where authorities found tons of marijuana.

He was arrested in 1985 and processed for crimes related to drug trafficking, kidnapping and murder. The drug lord of 63 years old left prison in 2013 after completing his sentence. Later on, government entities requested apprehension orders against him again.

According to the DEA Los Angeles office, Rafael Caro Quintero is still wanted for Kidnapping and Murder of a federal agent

    2. CIA gave the green to kidnap Kiki but never gave the green light to kill Camarena. The Mexicanos did that on their own accord. That's why the CIA left them high and dry at the end. If they had followed orders none of them would have ever saw the interior of a prison cell. Was it really worth it? Next thing you know you got freaking Nancy Reagan on TV saying "Say no to drugs". The 30 year drug war kicked off by a few cocaine cowboys who never thought the big bad US would come knocking. Boy were they wrong!!

    3. No it was Caro Quintero's cartel . If your going to operate against the laws of the USA you must be prepared to pay by their penal codes . There are many more that could be punished for this crime if all the fact came out but this mother fucker is one we will get . We are coming for you and we will get you . We are already getting your peace of mind but we want your sorry ass. Mexico can have you rotten carcus back after you die in our jail .

  4. Tejeda is an artist who was known as the maestro in prison. A few years ago he admitted his guilt and was the individual who led authorities to the bodies.

    3. El Universal is just a mouth piece for Mexico's corrupt government like Msnbc, cnn, ABC, ect. are the mouth pieces of America's corrupt government. Here's what he really said I couldn't find anything in English hope you could read Spanish or how a white hill Billy told me Mexican. http://sipse.com/mexico/caso-asesinato-agente-dea-camarena-detenido-francisco-javier-tejeda-jaramillo-227541.html

    4. So, Tejeda Jaramillo now says he's not totally innocent, but not guilty of homicide, only of disposing of the bodies.

In the US this would be called being 'an accessory after the fact' and would be generally consistent with his earlier statement that he 'participated in the kidnapping and murder of Camarena'.

Considering the involvement of people connected to the highest levels of the Mexican and US governments, and how often people are framed, I'm somewhat surprised Tejeda actually is guilty.

    5. The mexican polesias judicial federales murdered some ranchero and his family to plant the bodies of Camarena and zavala avelar who were not really them,
Then the real bodies were found somewhere else, but not on the original burial site, the ministerial who "found them" got hisself made governor of Michoacan later, Leonel Godoy...

    1. Max Gomez real name: felix ismael rodriguez mendigutia, you can find photos of him all over the place, including one with Barry Seal, and other bay of pigs and cia conspirators, related to the murder of kennedy, el che guevara, pablo escobar, kiki camarena, cubana de aviacion bomber luis posada carriles, heroin trafficking in vietnam, and bitch fights with Oliver North about who was the big "kitty" of drug trafficking on Iran/contra.
He has been named as the one that got kiki camarena kidnapped, tortured, interrogated and ordered him murdered, then left for florida to make sure he was "FAR AWAY FROM THE MURDER SCENE".
rodriguez also fixed a lot of drug trafficking with his compadre juan ramon matta ballesteros, Honduran who also discussed time on the US over the camarena affair, his fingerprints were found on the death house.
The pinchis cubanos also bombed the car of chilean ambassador ORLANDO LETTELIER in washington, and were found clogging the plumbing in the Watergate building to smear Ritchie Nixxon founder of DEA with caca and have him impeached or resigned for not being a nice guy and abandoning milton friedman's economic theories just to be reelected.
aka "Max gomez" is a soldier of fortune

  7. He looked happy on that picture. Bet ya all he could not have imagined he would spend >30 years in jail. Wasted his life like all narcos do: if you dont end up tortured and mutilated or in jail, you spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder. Just look at Rafael Arellano ... popped by a clown on his b-day!

  10. Felix Rodriques was the CIA go between. He is a Cuban refuge of the sixties. Still lives in south Florida. He was tight with George Bush senior. He was brokering the load and using the money for weapons for the contras, in Nicaragua. Most of the load was going to Texas, Austin & Dallas. Kiki figured out the connection and was killed. RCQ and FJTJ were the fall guys. CIA and DEA have always played dirty. The FBI doesn't trust those guys.

  11. The contras lost the war, the drug money was stolen, the US government help was stolen, a lot of laundered drug money was invested by Bain and co and other subsidiaries, and some guys with double degrees .a de off with hundreds of millions in dollars for commissions, now they can shelter their cars in heated three floor garages...
--no word on how much money is invested in offshored american industries, "to help the US keep its promise", but about 20 to 30 trillion dollars is the balance the US owes, to China...
