Borderland
Beat has recently added a “Guest Reporter” position. It’s trial has been very successful, so we are
offering the option to all BB followers.
Guest
reporters are those of you who see a story, translate the story and send it in
for posting. There is no commitment as
in BB reporters. Often we are sent story
ideas, or a heads up to published articles, which we appreciate, and use, but
we only have so much time. By the way,
PLEASE, send the link when giving the heads up, if you don’t will be a wasted effort.
We
also will consider original work. If it
is new work, sending in part of the first draft would be helpful.
If you
want to help, send your work to either of the email addresses below, they are
mine and DDs, Please give the link to
the original story, don’t worry about photos we can get them with the
link. We can use “Guest Reporter” as
your reporter name or you can indicate one you want used.
In
closing, a BIG thanks to all the new reporters who have come on board. With theirs and the work from “old”
reporters, we are almost back at our previous viewership near 2M per month.
This is a good idea. I can help now and then this works perfectly for me.
ReplyDeleteLove is idea! BB and Chivas are so overworked. God bless all who help out! Grazie. Peace to all.

ReplyDeleteChivis I would like to report about all the police brutality & killings so are good neighbors in Mexico can know we are in a war down in here aswell. Together ass one
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Is there a deadline for turning in the translated article? And seeing how almost everything you read online is crap do we have to substantiate the articles before translating then turning them in?
ReplyDeleteit is best to send the link to us first. and there isn't a deadline but some stories are time sensitive so it is best to get those done asap.
Deleteby sending the link to us right away we can open a draft so no one else will work on the same story.
Bravo Chivis and BB.

Chivetin.
Truth is in the eye of the beholder of his favorite media. We do an excellent job, no one gets it perfect in breaking news.
DeleteYou wrote to me twice, I answered twice, You ask if the email address was me I answered it is chivis of BB, and the other was a TEST, i answered that as well. I can't do more.
Pazz

One of the great questions of our time came closer to resolution last week, when a federal court ruled that bloggers are journalists.
The Ninth Circuit ruled as such on Friday in Obsidian Finance Group v. Crystal Cox, a complicated case first decided in 2011. The court found that even though someone might not write for the “institutional press,” they’re entitled to all the protections the Constitution grants journalists.
exactly, the case went to the supreme court to determine if bloggers are journalist thereby are constitutionally protected in such matters as in withholding names of information sources. it was determines they are
