"Narcos" series renewed, coming up; Mexico including Sinaloa and CJNG cartels

Chivis for Borderland Beat

Neflix has confirmed “Narcos”, the popular original series, has been renewed for two additional seasons.  The series began with the recount of the life of Colombian narco capo, Pablo Escobar.

Season 2 aired its 10 episodes beginning in September.   If you have not watched season 2, check out; 'Narcos' Binge-Watching Guide: The Best Way to Consume Season 2, by using this link.

Obviously,  in order for the series to continue, the series must  track real life events and changes in the narco world, with an eventual  focus on Mexico.  Producers report that the focus on Mexico will include highlighting El Chapo and the Sinaloa Cartel, but also Cartel Jalisco New Generation, (CJNG), the fast growing powerful cartel that once worked for Chapo ((enforcers), but now are at war to succeed Chapo as the world’s most powerful drug cartel.

The Sinaloa Cartel and the CJNG  will take on the DEA’s “drug war”.  It is expected that “El Mayo” (Ismael Zambada García) will also be featured.

The Cali Cartel will be highlighted in season 3, as they climb to the Colombian trafficking top spot, subsequent to Escobar's death

    3. What about amado carrillo fyentes. I believe he is a more influential figure in the mexican narco life. It was because of the guadalajara cartel and juarez cartel that allof this crap started

    1. You mean enforcers? CJNG were Killing off mutual enemies (zetas) but now killing off cds because of their weak structure. Chapo had cds strong but now that he's locked up, they are fighting each other and are getting killed off or captured. Rip cds. Cjng are the new cds but 3 times stronger..

      Delete
    2. To be the number one top cartel you have to give the top cartel war in their own home state like cds did to the zetas who back then where the most powerful i dont see cjng doing none of that
      .War never change.

    3. 4:32 they took many cds plazas, what you mean kid?.. cds just went to get slaughtered in tamaulipas but went back running to sinaloa. CJNG doesn't need to go to sinaloa, they already took Tijuana from them, parts of Baja California and are kicking the sh!t out of cds in colima. CJNG is the only cartel to take a zeta plaza besides cdg. Cds never could..

  3. Can't Waite but sounds like they are skipping on a lot of important drug lords of Mexico 1 and 2nd season where on point!

    1. Not sure who else but one would think Padrino and RCQ def be included

    2. Agreed....but I doubt they'll just skip over so much potential content. Mexicos drug war has about 30 very interesting personalities from different groups (CDS, AFO, CFO, BLO, Zetas, CDG etc) where as colombia had 10-12 memorable ones from 2 major groups. Netflix would be missing out on major $$$$ if they decide to reduce the Mexican drug war to el chapo and fucking mencho (who is probably the most boring of all the big players)

    3. Cartel Arellano Felix needs that recognition not CJNG nor CDS.

      Delete
    4. Yes CJNG does not have to be included. They should tell the real story of Camarena and how the CIA had him killed and not the Jalisco Cartel. And the aftermath of the dividing of la plazas. The soundtrack should also be badass.

    5. And what is it with that actor on the serie not speaking solid colombian parcero español. I will not wantch that series as it is hard to understand. ¡¡¡¡Good grief!!!!

  9. CJNG is one of the most boring cartels ever why would they include them???? I'm sure everyone that knows the least bit about the drug war would much rather see AFO, BLO, Juarez cartel or even the zetas over that trash. There's nothing interesting about them at all. Chapos war with the 4 previously mentioned groups was much more interesting and were the absolute pinnacle times n the drug world...it's like they're skipping a good 20 years in the drug wars..from going into extreme depth with Colombia to reducing mexicos war to the last 2~ years. Garbage.

    1. the reason why cjng is a boring cartel and wars are less cruel then when cds, juarez cartel, blo, cdg, lfm,ct,or zetas is because every time cjng fight in war they are not killing random people or kid they go for there rivals and dont shoot a lo pendejo but even like that they have lots of action like the 30 zetas they killed in veracruz or the battles agiaint feds also in tj how they are finishing with cds there or actually finished with los ct cjng has been more effective then any other cartel in just 6 years and thats why they are coming out

    2. 5:48 CJNG don't kill innocents? Don't make me laugh they're just as bad as the rest of the scum

      Delete
    3. killing reporters isnt killing innocent people ??

      Delete
    4. Hate on them all you want but they are currently the most powerfull. Just like there's 1 chapo hater there's 3 more fan boys.. same with mencho, he has to be the baddest Mexican alive but Hated and loved just as much

      Delete
    5. They dumped the truckloads of dead innocent people on the freeway. They taped a stick of dynamite to a kids neck and blew him up.

    6. Funny you say CJNG are boring. Along with the Cuinis they are richest organization in Mexico. But I guess it's not about that it's about making fun right?

      Delete
    7. The 40 something people murdered by cjng in veracruz were innocent civilians and not zetas as the cjng claimed.

  10. They should of added the early druglords from the 80s not these fucking low scumbags that use extortion and steal like the jalisco

  14. What there not gonna include possiblely the biggest drug lord in history one Amado Carrillo Fuentes or what about the real El Padrino they gonna skip him too i personnelly would add the war that the Arrellano Felix brothers had with the Sinaloa Cartel that would be good tv there !!! You know Ramon Arrellano Felix his crazy ass vs Mayo,Chapo, and even El Botas Blanco when him and his brothers where members of the sinaloa cartel that would be real good tv

    1. lol Amados story wouldnt be as good as Chapos... leading his goons into Juarez, the cardinal shooting, tijuana, his escapes...they arnt stupid most common people known of Chapo not Amado and Botas Blancas etc lol

    2. Well if your as old as i am you remember who Amado Carrillo Fuentes is in fact in the words of my favorite author Charles Bowden " Im gonna tell you a name Amado Carrillo Fuentes" and he said "dont ever repeat that name" Amado was at one point worth 25 billion dollars thats how big he was the lord of the skies

    3. Say what you want but white boots aka Arturo Beltran Levya drew fear outta the sinaloa cartel when he went to war with chapo

      Delete
    4. 7:40 id argue botas blancas and amado Carrillos stories are just as interesting as Chapos... just because they aren't world wide celebs like chapo doesn't mean their stories won't be a hit. You need to keep in mind 5 years ago your average person didn't even know chapo existed and 15 years ago most people didn't know Pablo existed outside of Latin America

    5. 6:25 amao carrillo juentes already had his telenovela, remember "El Señor de Los Cielos? In spite of its daily dozen of shootings, and shootouts and balaceras, it looked naive, insipid and tasteless to me, I may have seen like 10 minutes, but then again on the other hand I don't watch much tv anymore
      BB is priceless.

    5. Zetas had everybody pooping in their pants for over a decade. EVERYBODY!!! Mafiosos, gangs, civilians, media, law enforcement and military all feared the Zetas. On both sides of the border I might add. I remember seeing photos in 2003 of a female reporter who was chopped up and her body parts neatly stacked in pile with a note..... "This is what happens when you make reports about us. Atte Z". Man, I had some bad dreams after seeing that shit and I was law enforcement at the time. I had seen a lot of bad shit but nothing like that back then. The original Zetas were Mexico's worst nightmare when El Verdugo was running things.

  16. The story of the original 31 Zetas deserters from the Mexican Special forces (Gafes) would be a good series .
The Story of El Bravo (Cartel De Sinaloa )

And the story of El Jefe de La Sierra .El Senor De Las Montanas El #701 The boss of bosses El Chapo Guzman !

    1. It is known that when quintero got out of jail the first person he went to was mencho for protection. There is even a story here on bb on that.. so, to answer your question, NO.

  21. I knew someone who claimed their father who dies at the amidst the aftermath of the death of Kiki Camarena. He said his father was half Colombian, half Mexican and was from a very old military family based in Mexico. He also went on to say that his father was personal friends with Escobar and the reason why Escobar attacked the Palace of Justice in 85 was because after the US caught and was in pursuit of all the BIG HEADS at the time that he felt, that he was next. Some people have said that the so called War On Drugs did not start with Nixon but started in '85, when Kiki was killed, '85 was the same year Escobar attacked the Palace Of Justice. If nobody involved with NARCO'S can't get any info on the connection Escobar had with the Guadalajara Cartel, then they need better sources/historians. Like someone on this thread said previously, they're going to miss out on plenty of things by jumping to the reign of Chapo. They must not be aware that before Chapo was a boss, that he was a soldier for The Guadalajara Cartel.

    2. The war on drugs didn't begin in 85, although it escalated quite a bit then. In the 70s it was all about eradication, that's when paraquat spraying was attempted (and failed). If the authorities were serious about the war on drugs then they would go after the money launderers - whoops, that's the US financial "services" industry. Look up the HSBC case a few years back, they just paid a huge fine that just made them a few percentage points less profit.

Anyone who's interested in the WOD, check out this site for lots of great info.

Saludos/best wishes to everyone who has suffered and died in the racist, illegal, immoral and failed war on drugs.

  22. Theyre making a series of cartels who made money not roaches in the drug game killing. Whats next why isnt La Barbie in it or why isnt Broly Banderas. Its to make money nobody wants to see CDS vs AFO rejects, CDJ(cholos tecateros) or Golfo trannies. Ppl say CJNG is boring, ppl also use to say the San Antonio Spurs were boring and ended up on top. My point is all cartels are local or work in the americas while Sinaloa and CJNG are international.

--All the mexican narcos get dwarfed when you compare them with one mexican government lowly law enforcement agent that also got taken by his enemies.
