Chihuahua: 'La Línea' Leader El Cabo killed in shootout

Chivis for Borderland Beat...........

The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) confirmed the death of César Raúl Gamboa Sosa, alias 'El Cabo', leader of the 'La Línea' criminal group that maintains control in the Cuauhtémoc region.

"El Cabo" was shot and killed by police and soldiers at La Quemada ranch.

Sunday afternoon there was a confrontation in Rubio, in the region of Cuauhtémoc, where municipal
police officers arrived after a report was called in to the emergency line. On arrival they were confront by gunfire.  They called for  for support from state and military elements.

Four policemen were injured (some reports say killed) and eight suspects were killed, including Gamboa Sosa. In addition, 17 armored vehicles were seized, the FGE reported.

The conflict has been continuing for weeks, between 'La Línea' from Namiquipa and 'La Línea' from Cuauhtémoc, leaders El Cabo vs El 80.  Yesterday a human head was discovered in a foam cooler near Colonia Álvaro Obregón, Cuauhtémoc.

It was the head  belonging to a bodyguard of El 80s,  who was killed and decapitated on the order of El Cabo.  it is suspected the decapitation led to the shootout.

    2. Oh hush your fuss!! One lil internal conflict isn't going to doom a cartel. If CNDJ can kick CDS out of most of Chihuas then they can deal with a internal capo beef. There was a internal beef between La Linea and the Aztecas a few years ago. And guess what? That beef was settled by Los Linces. This conflict will be no different. El Gefe says fix your problems or I send in the Bobcats to fix it for you. Remember La Linea are only enforcers not the Juarez management. Enforcers are a dime a dozen and are easily replaced.

    3. Can anyone name every Cartel from Mexico i just cant keep up so many Zetas old school.CDN.CDS.la linea .antrax.cjng.los tequileros.Damasos.los rojos.los ardillos.well damn whats the difference between all these groups? Thanks Chivis an all BB for keeping us informed on Mexico's status.

    4. The cartels are broken down into plazas, controlled by capos who run individual cells. Sometimes all the capos together form like a board of directors and there may or may not be a chairman type person, for example El Chapo or El Mayo. So I can't name every cell off the top of my head, but there are about nine cartels. Sinaloa, CJNG, Gulf, Zetas, Tijuana, Juarez, Caballeros Templarios, and La Familia. There are tons of other smaller organizations and these are sometimes like satellite offices of the major organizations. These days, however, all the major cartels, except CJNG are experiencing infighting, and this may be perpetual unless management is stabilized.

    5. @2:53 CJNG has already experienced infighting in Guadalajara the local cells are going at it. Also CJNG is trying to get rid of los Viagras in michoacan

    7. Cjng killed a santana brother last month in their turf. Viagras are not loyal to anyone, they backstabbed la tuta and now cjng. They are their own mcartel but not nearly as powerful as cjng. After that hit I bet they will go running back to mencho to apologize

  4. This was actually La linea from namiquipa vs La linea from cuauhtemoc. What caused this shooting was that they left one of El 80's bodyguard (namiquipa) headless in a cooler on a road leading to cuauhtemoc A narcomanta was also left. It was El cabo who gave orders

--But the army probably had their eyes on the 17 armored vehicles, the soldiers are always on foot, no gasoline, no bullets, no weapons, they always have to extort and kidnap their way to heaven, and javier corral need some heating up of "his plaza", it is not nice to come and steal the state for the bola de mochos come-santos panistas de la Voluntá Divina.

  9. And this wasn't in Cuauhtémoc it was in Rubio which isn't far, but smaller town. Some are saying that Cabo had betrayed La Línea and was working with people from Guadalajara. Which sounds like Sinaloa or maybe just maybe CJNG. So he got hit with his squad. Nothing major. But either way either someone is trying to advance or has.

El Diego from DF was a strong leader and got 1000's of people killed but cds calento la plaza and El Diego got caught. There is no real leaders from Chihuahua in la linea, they are from sinaloa or other states but people from Chihuahua are so proud of this Juarez cArtel lol just like people from Tijuana with CAF lol there are locals in the mix but just being used, not big bosses. Delete
    3. 9:43 Rafael Gallardo from tamaulipas and El Zorro from ojinaga started the cartel De Juarez. There has been 4 capos in charge of Juarez cartel with Vicente Carrillo Fuentes who got captured lat year . Only one was from Chihuahua but who is in charge now? Most likely A Carrillo from sinaloa.

      Delete
    4. Well that's a big lie. Because Juarez Cartel and La Linea might be very close but they are not the same thing. Most Linea Leaders are from Chihuahua. And the heavy hitters and death squadrons come from La Linea de la sierra. And they are mostly former cops or military that banded together to protect the people and the routes that take you to Juarez. If you don't know just read and stay quite.

      Delete
    5. Just because Carrillos were on top of La Linea cartel once does not mean there are no Chihuahua succesors to the throne. Sinaloenses are almost forgotten in everyday NCDJ daily life. There are no real strong leaders of any state.

      Delete
    6. Cuauhtémoc is very proud to be in Chihuahua. They are the mouth to la sierra. And Always has been 100% Linea. And it's a small town that is a stronghold because everyone is so close there. And there are many many Sinaloenses that work with La Linea. As sicarios or more.

      Delete
    7. Yea, Chihuahuas are just like the Chihuahuas, all bark and no action. They have been taking orders from sinaloenses since the 70's. Puro sinaloa pleves!

  29. I told you guys... Same situation that occurred with EL GROSS in Tijuas... CJNG finds an in-route... Finds a weakness or an unhappy leader within the other cartel... Makes them partners... Then has him hit. Then they start placing their own people in positions of power.... CJNG takes Juarez next. Their already in Nuevo Laredo... In Veracruz... They snatched up Tijuas... They control Colima... Michigan...Nayarit... Morelos... All former strong holds of Other Cartels. For years... Chapos peoples couldnt defeat Golfos...or Zetas on their own turf. CJNG took all that shit by force... Last major route into The U.S Is Juarez.

CAF allow these exchalanes to continue working in tj under a fee ofcourse under whatever banner they choose as long as they check in every first of the month $$.
