Captured: "El Babay", Abraham Cervantes Escareaga. He is identified as the alleged leader of a cell of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion / CTNG in Tijuana and as one of the main generators of violence in the Los Cabos, BCS area. "El BaBay" is also the alleged successor of "El Javier" who controlled the plaza of San Jose del Cabo.He was detained in a joint operation of the Navy Secretariat (Semar), the National Defense (Sedena), the Attorney General's Office (PGR) and the Federal Police in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.

After several days of intelligence work, monitoring and surveillance, elements of the Security Cabinet detected "El Babay" and a companion on board a vehicle and the joint security forces initiated a stop and then a search. There were many rumors during the morning hours later confirmed by authorities.
"In the interior of the vehicle were two long arms and a short gun, armaments for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces, as well as several doses presumably of drugs, cash and communication equipment, which led to the arrest of the two people, a man and a woman," the federal government said in a joint statement.
"El Babay" is identified as alleged leader of a cell of the Tijuana Cartel that operates in that entity and as one of the main generators of violence in that municipality.
Unofficial information sources speculate that he could possibly be tied to the wave of violence in San Jose del Cabo in confrontations with rival cells.

DeleteI believe in justice and a fair trial. But there is no justice to be had in Mexico and this just keeps going on. Time for old western justice and just put a bullet in their heads when they are caught. Especially the leaders. This is getting old and tiresome to see this continue. These people just not be breathing air.

I am talking about killing these criminals on the spot so the corrupt government cannot protect them anymore and that will have an effect on massacres of innocents everyday. So people can travel without worry and people can progress without fear of extortion and more. In one article even the soldiers are said they would rather stay on the barracks because it is catch and release because of the corrupt judges. circumvent the judges and take the decision out of their hands. People will flourish once you start eliminating criminals that are counter productive to progress.

Delete@9:54 The word "cartel" is probably one of the most misused words in English (and in Spanish) Every dictionary definition I have seen essentially says a cartel is a group of individuals that combine to fix prices on certain goods and services. That is why the US Govt. quit using the term and now refers to what most people call cartels as Transnational Criminal Organizations. Some of those 63 groups you refer to are cartels, some are TCO's and some are just gangs. But there are not 63 different true cartels in Mexico.
