This book highlights Robert Mueller's intensive and investigation: "Operation Black Widow" which he conducted while he was a US Federal Prosecutor in San Francisco, Ca. Nuestra Familia and La EME are notorious Latino prison gangs run out of US top security prisons, especially in L.A. CA and Pelican Bay State Prison in Northern California. They primarily control the distribution of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines and marijuana within the prison system, the communities and the extorsion of drug distributors on the streets. The bosses run business, operations, control territories and "green-light" murders.

Following an extensive investigation by local and federal agents, several Mexican Mafia members and associates were indicted in connection to a series of violent jail attacks on inmates last year, FBI officials announced Friday.

“In one case, prosecutors allege, an individual whom the Mexican Mafia believed to be cooperating with law enforcement was stabbed several times in the head and upper torso after a Mexican Mafia associate allegedly gave an order for the individual to be murdered,” according to an FBI news release.

Among the 14 indicted in the case is Eyreick Arballo, 33, of Pomona, officials said. Arballo was already behind bars when he was charged in the case. Jose De Jesus Rivera, 33, of Compton and Daniel Bustamante, 29, of Long Beach were also arrested Thursday at their homes in connection to the case.

Daniel Ramos, 31, Miguel Garcia, 33, James Piano (age unavailable), Victor Hernandez, 40, Willam Membreno, 30, Edgardo Moreno, 40, Miguel Arciniega, 20, Sergio Chavez, 20, Jose Salazar, 28, Greg Gonzalez, 30, and Rene Arana, 31, who are all currently incarcerated, were also charged in the case, according to the release.

Beginning in July 2016, the FBI's San Gabriel Valley Safe Streets Task Force based out of the Pomona  Police Station, began their investigation into the assaults on inmates within the Los Angeles County jails, officials said.

Authorities learned the attacks were being ordered by the notorious Mexican Mafia prison gang from outside of prison walls, according to authorities. The attacks were carried out by the foot soldiers, sometimes known as Surenos, within the jails. The assaults and / or murders ordered by the shotcallers were made against inmates that leaders believed violated Mexican Mafia rules, officials said.

The indictments were announced Friday by Deirdre Fike, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s L.A. field office in conjunction with Jackie Lacy, the District Attorney for L.A. and Jim McDonnell, sheriff of L.A. County.

The FBI San Gabriel Valley Safe Streets Task Force was formed in 2008 and made up of law enforcement members from the FBI, DEA, Pomona Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, including investigators with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s Operation Safe Jails; and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation – Special Services Unit.

    1. 10:40 you can stick your respect up the ass,
what anyprison gang wants is the ass, and all the benefits of having one more bitch to exploit.
Tattoos shuld be put together and given green light to exterminate any prison abuser upon request and after an investigation, but abuses of prisoners is the fault of prison wardens, they should answer for it, not just take their monthly checks and prisoners kickbacks and look the other way while prisoners kill and exploit other prisoners..but when names are named, "innocent gangbangers on the outside" wii not look sooo innocent, and that is a beautiful thing, now if they could somehow get somebody above them,."for icing on the cake" I would give them los bloomers del Sol Peyidos...

    5. What a coincidence, every time the police shoot and kill someone, it turns out the person was a loser. It's never a Nobel laureate who is killed, now is it. I can already tell by your comment that you are likely to be a person who vacuums up my tax money in the form of welfare subsidies, which in truth are simply the leftists buying votes that will keep everyone who is on welfare, trapped in the urban plantations the democrats depend on. Bottom line, anyone who thinks police are killing civilians who aren't trashy losers in the grand scheme of society, probably don't hold the cure for cancer in their brain. So I am sorry you grew up raised by a single mother in poverty, but for the vast majority of people, who are law abiding and believe in personal responsibility, your comment is wrong, ignorant, and proves you to be a low life human, who is likely very unproductive. Just letting you know the vibe those type of comments give off to anyone who hasn't spent their entire life in a shit hood where no one tries. Police abuse in jails, haha, what a class of people to worry about, prisoners! So Fuck people like you!

    6. Open your eyes to what is going on with our police. Don't just take notice to the white officers who are killing unarmed black men. You need to
look at the stories of a innocent bystander killed by officers bullets because they were reckless. Obviously those cases aren't as publicized because it does not have a good story line. There are many Barney Fife officers out there who would rather shoot first and ask questions later because they are incompetent to do their job. I should know I worked with plenty of them during my time on patrol. I have seen people wrongfully jailed on a dirty officers word. I have seen officers plant evidence on civilians. I have seen people and their property illegal searched. I have seen many cases of excessive force. When I was a parole officer I guessed about 10% to 25% of my caseload the parolee in question did not commit the crime they were sentenced on. Yes they were found guilty or plead guilty but they did so under duress, false witness testimony or having shitty court appointed attorneys representing them. 10:35 you need to look deep inside yourself and figure out why you have so much hate in your heart for your fellow man.

    11. 4m San Gabriel Valley, LosAngeles,CA. Ive been to county a couple times before and i was at a reception prison in kern county (felony evading/ driving recklessly/ DUI/ posession of Cocaine) I agree, on the outside all cholos (southern and northern) are a bunch of foos on crystal, but by the way you talk your from up north (Bay Area=Gay Area) pretending to be from LA and youve never been to jail. Any disrespect or disobedience towards them in the 'system' and they'll at the very MINIMUM give you a SouthSide SmashOut. They (a couple) will beat your ass for as long as they can until the Deputies(county)or Corrections Officers(prison) finally take notice and pull them off of you..sometimes it only last 10 seconds, sometimes minutes until they arrive...they laugh and enjoy it because they're trying to gain points with their reps. And if your a somewhat big nuisance to the cops, they will turn their back and allow them to teach you a lesson. Jails have their programs, so cops and gangsters work together sometimes to keep things calm for everyone. its very easy to be a keyboard gangster, just not as easy to fufill those statements once your actually there...

It is a never ending cycle that can only be broken through prevention. By the time a lot of these guys are caught up in the gangster life in prison, it becomes almost impossible to retreat.

    1. How about we legalize them and tell the STATE that it doesn't need to be a nanny. ADULTs can do whatever they want as long as they don't harm third parties with their life choice. Instead of wasting BILLIONS of dollars fighting a never ending cycle and creating more crime universities (oh i mean privately own prison). Let's focus on spending it on education, harm reduction and better rehabilitation systems for criminals. If a drug addict wants to get clean he can do it like alcoholics do.

    3. @11:14 no they dont! Reality is that drug addicts harm to others is almost exclusively due to the problem of getting the drugs.

There is plenty of evidence supporting this with cases of persons having suffered serious physical trauma and have been put on opiates for medical reasons of pain control.

Resulting rates of addiction are high and many have a hard time kicking the habit after recovering from their injuries, but thanks to controlled sumistration these people are able to live ordinary lives with some restrictions (e.g. driving).

The government propaganda machine has programmed us to not think and look for truths, but it us out there.

      Delete

    4. When all drugs were legal there wasn't a "drug problem".

Before World War I, a 9-year-old girl could walk into a drug store and buy heroin.

That's right heroin. She didn't need a doctor's prescription or a note from her parents. She could buy it right off the shelf. just the way aspirin is sold today. Cocaine, opium, and marijuana were readily available as well. No DEA cartel , no undercover cops, no rehab 12 based brainwashing scam cults. Just people going about their own business is whatever way they chose. You know, something called "Might is right".

There were no dealers preying on school children. There were no gang wars over drug profits, because there were no drug gangs. No opiate and crack epidemics. After all, who would buy dangerous drugs from a gangster at outrageous prices when he could buy safe drugs made by a reputable drug company at modest prices?

That era of innocence didn't end because America was threatened by a drug crisis. It was ended in the traditional way by politicians looking for new worlds to conquer, politicians who have no interest in examining dispassionately the chaos they cause, and who will never face a single personal consequence for the lives they have ruined.

      Delete
    5. 2:10-Agree that was my point that the harm to others is due to getting the drugs and the families would know due to all the scamming and stealing.Know it 1st hand as a landlord too.

  4. Unfortunately prisons are elements of continuous criminal activities. A secondary base for gangs. Where enforcement and structure are the principal foundation for such. Same principles which are applied from those in society.
Furthermore where criminal connections are established for distribution, security and enforcement. In other words private contractors to the continuous criminal activities.
And such business ties help monetary gains within the penal system and those in societies.
I'm sure there is more to the story for federal agencies to have gotten involved money laundering, drug trafficking, racketeering and murder ect.
In the end it's a criminal enterprise and as such criminal enterprises exist everywhere and in every part of the world.

  8. The article high-lights a pretty important fact: jails do not prevent or deter individuals from comitting crimes. 'Lockin em up' at the unprecedented rate we are currently doing (with 2 million inmates we got the largest prison population in the world) is not making anybody, but the prison industry better off.

Dont get me wrong: Im not advocating setting them all free, but there is something wrong with our concept of civilized society, justice and law-n-order if we need to lock up nearly 1% of the population.

    1. The problem with 2 million people in US penitentiary is the rotating door which society imposed on them. Employment for an individual with a record is bleak. Despite paying your debt to society, discriminatory practices in society hinders one from living a decent life. Minimum wages don't make ends meet with the cost of inflation.
A very small fraction of ex- convicts make it .
This in part by some who know life deserves a second chance and have generously extended an opportunity. Now what one does with that opportunity it's up to the individual.
However generous employers are but a handful.
      Prison is a business.
Don't be quick to judge ones situation.
Like the saying goes, Don't Judge a book by its cover. Many factors as to why one does what he does.

Public schools produce a lot of criminals as a result of efforts to give public education on the US a bad name, and the reason why is that privatize want all those billions of dollars on the budgets for themselves, then they move on to private owned prisons for profit or "private services" for government owned institutions...and... and...and...

    4. The problem with prisons anywhre is that some people see them as a source of great personal enrichment, and that federal, state, county and municipal governments agree, because theyI'll get some $$$ to pocket, and probably some beautiful young stud or a beautiful lady for the lonely nights.
Hey, organize some prison fights to sell the tapes!!!

There are crimes which I can't condone nor forgive ( rapists, child molester and muderers).
However I will give an ex- con an opportunity for work. I believe in second chances. As a business owner I do extend an opportunity for those who just made a bad choice.
We are human and we all make mistakes in life. And thus one should not be punished throughout life. But rather open doors and not close them.
This is the problem facing American society ( discrimination).

LARRY HOOVER sits in some maximum security for life, but the main thing is he is incommunicado to help him do the right thing and keep his mouth shut, he had his own key making machine in Stateville Prison in illinois, courtesy of the warden and the politicians, he also had the keys to every cell to chose a wife anytime he wanted, the terror wored wonders for the politicians, their gangster friends the dope dealers and their Gangster's Disciples and their 2/6 for a while, the Latin Kings, the Outlaws and the Vice Lords could not see the end of it.

She got to her gun and shot both of them as they were fleeing. She was at the same hospital being treated as they were. The wive's came up and yelled at her for shooting their husbands. You always here of people being beaten to death here by rocks. You can chalk those up to the cholo's. It is not safe in many neighborhoods here at night because of them. There whole live's are centered around crime of all kinds. Stealing cars and stripping them is one of their favorite past times. They basically dressed in "zoot suits". Back in my day in the 1980's cholos wore the a long sleeve shirt with the top button buttoned the rest unbuttoned with a white t-shirt underneath. They had baggy dress pants with Stacy Adams shoes. Sometimes they wore hair nets or a bandana real low over their eyes. Cholo styles and the meaning of the word has changed over time but when I think of a cholo I think of the cholos of the 1970's and 1980's. Most of the cholos I knew were cool mofos. Hardcore but cool as hell.

    5. @ 625 Most gangs started to protect their race in prison. Without gangs prisons would be more violent and a lot of inmates would be preyed upon.

Don't kid yourself, most of these guys would be criminals regardless if gangs existed or not. Gangs unfortunately are a necessary evil. Not saying they are good but crime in general is the main problem not gangs.

    6. Forget about getting out of prison "broke", the worst is that you get out all fucked up, (bien cogido) and that some live to return ASAP.

    1. Problem on the US is they want to make "tax paying" the exclusive property of the poor, the broke assed and the down tbrodden that can't defend themselves with PACS or LOBBYISTS to talk to senators and congressmen or other high faluting "dignitaries" that demand reset for their high offices and fresh new pages every year OR ELSE...

  13. Gang members might as well just wear a sign that says COME ARREST ME! Plain and simple they draw to much attention to themselves and draw in weak snitches to swell their numbers. Time to try something a little more low key.

Gangs are stupid. Flashing signs as if one where that educated speaking sign language.
It's just stupidity at its highest.
Get a legit job or go to school .

    2. 9:08 to funny. My sentiments exactly. Throwing gang signs really shows the education level of these putrid ass fucks. Their stupidity makes up for it when they get splayed open and chainsawed alive. Cartel members deserve slow intense painful torture. They need to be sustained alive as long as possible then bring out the sledge hammers and start smashing these fucks into the ground. Cartel assassins are now making their victims quadriplegics and paralyzing their victims while they are alive then slowy just beating and pounding them to death with wood planks and baseball bats. They maim and paralyze in front of their children.

    3. 6:10 I hope your fans catch up with you soon and roll you with asphalt equipment, that makes it easier to desiccate carcasses and be their own fuel, more humanitarian than your proposals.

  14. Heard back in 2014 from a Sureno in San Jose that la EME was putting pressure on Surenos in northern California (particularly SJ) to kill Nortenos. It was true, the following years had more gang killings and most were carried out by Surenos, although Nortenos retaliated and killed a couple of Surenos in too.

  17. One word KARMA. Mexico does not want to implement the death penalty then I say let the inmates murder and kill each other at will.

  18. Anyone with gang affiliation or gang tattoos should be considered an enemy of the state. Just as if they were wearing a foreign military uniform as an enemy. Deported or imprisoned for life.
