Nayarit: Mutilated Bodies, positively identified as SEIDO agents

by Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat

Last night the PGR agency of Mexico announced that the bodies discovered in Xalisco, Nayarit  have been positively identified as those of the abducted SEIDO agents,  Octavio Martínez Quiroz and Alfonso Hernández Villavicencio.

The bodies could not be positively identified with the exception of DNA analysis.

The remains were discovered in the trunk of an abandoned KIA.

Initial reports indicated there were 3 bodies because the remains were so grossly dismembered, later the correction was made reporting there were 2 not 3 bodies.

The agents, ages 28 and 26, who live and work in Mexico City, were in Nayarit for the February 4th Christening, of a family member of one of the agents.

Four agents, taking advantage of time off,  traveled to Nayarit.  Hernandez and Martinez deciding to attend the Baptism, the other two went their separate way.  Hernandez and Martinez failed to meet again with the other two agents, and those two traveled back to Mexico City very concerned not being able to reach Hernandez and Martinez.  Upon return [on the 5th] they immediately notified PGR of the agents missing.

However, the federal agency of SEIDO nor PGR publicized the agents were missing and failed to call on the public to help by sending in any information.

That changed on February 11th, when the agency was forced to announce the agents were abducted.

This was subsequent to a video that was released to social media of the agents.

The video began to circulate depicting the agents kneeling, while four hooded gunmen had weapons pointed at them, while Hernandez was forced to read a script condemning federal agencies for criminal acts.

Last night the bodies were released to the agent’s families.

CJNG is suspected of being the perpetrators of the abduction and murder of the agents.

Martinez had a law degree and Hernandez a degree in criminology.

    1. You mean el Mencho is sitting "on" it. If he was sitting "in" then he would, by definition, be in it.

    2. These two might have caught a cab from the airport and in small talk told the driver too much information. That driver could be a look out for a local cell. The information is relayed up the chain of command. Then the drop off location is shown to whoever is in charge and the rest is history. The Devil is in the details and small mistakes can cost you your life in Mexico.

  9. What a waste of two good guys trying to do their part in cleaning up the mess in Mexico. I don't know the circumstances of how they were abducted nor will I ever know, but I hope agents such as these two are allowed to carry their weapons 24/7. The ending to all of these abductions is always the same. Not very pretty. Hopefully agents in the future will go down shooting and take a few of the bad guys with them.

    1. An article mentioned they had went to a party in another town 😎 . One of the victims, was wearing a cap, that shows the agency ,he is from. And then you have lookouts. They were young and should have never show off.

    2. Power maybe but IMO the Zetas changed the game when it came to being ruthless. They had training no other members of any cartel ever had. Osiel was a mastermind if you really sit back and look at what he was doing back then. However, as with many things in life, greed ruins it.

    3. The Zetas used to extort the pollos and the coyotes bringing up central americans, and some came loaded with gifts from Santa, but when it became too much of an embarassment for the US government, "THE ZETAS GOT A BIGGER CONTRACT TO STOP THE FLOW" and it worked, San ferrands still works his miracles for the ruthless problem solvers, only Blackwater solves problems like that or its well schooled in murder Free Lance Mercenaries now on call with Mexican politicians.

  16. Does anyone else ever wonder why the U.S. who police the world seems to turn a blind eye to the plight of Mexico? It would be extremely easy for the US to send in special forces and BAM Mencho's dead. Make an example out of him. Hang his whole family by their feet.

    1. Oh Turk if only you knew, the hopeless, that goes on in Mexico everyday. The corrupt Mexican government and Cartels work together, and the last thing the government wants is troops from USA.

    3. The US will only get involved mkre OPENLY when everything in mexico is privately owned by American Businessmen at least in partnerships with other worldly oligarchs, even Russian and chinese... Great progress has been made convincing the people they can live on 2.00 dollars minimum wage A DAY, others say 13 pesos is more than good enuff,
why would the US want to redeem "the mexican people?"
But don't you worry none, help is on the way, thousands of communist cults POSing as religious sects sent by GOD himself playing their music for rats are getting to the forgotten flocks of Mexican facks to help them resign to their fate.
That is the price for getting to heaven...

  18. Chivis, what are your thoughts on these murders? Even though the evidence points at CJNG, I believe someone is heating up the plaza. I do believe Mencho to be a villain, just not for these crimes. What do you think Chivis? You don't have to respond. Amor y respeto desde Los Angeles. El Nemesis-
