Mexico City, March 27 .- José Alejandro, alias "El Hugo" or "El H", was arrested last night by elements of the Mexico City Secretary of Public Security in Magdalena Contreras.
The subject is designated by the authorities as a leader of drug dealers and main distributor of drugs in Ciudad Universitaria and the south zone of the City.
The arrest took place at the intersection of San Jerónimo and Orquídea avenues, in a house where "El H" tried to take refuge after noticing police presence, however, he was cornered by the uniformed men.
The Secretary of Public Safety carried out a strong operation in which approximately 800 elements participated, according to Cuartoscuro . The operation was carried out after the alleged criminals tried to bribe the main sector and regional leaders.
According to the authorities of the capital, the detainee is linked to the shootings reported a few weeks ago in the area of Frontones de Ciudad Universitaria, which left one person dead.
He is also identified as a member of the band "Los Güeros,” a criminal organization designated to sell drugs in the Coyoacán and Tlalpan delegations.
Along with "El H" 10 of his main collaborators were arrested, who were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry in the 50th Agency.
In addition to the capture of the alleged criminals, they also seized 5 vehicles, weapons of different calibers and what appeared to be marijuana and approximately 2 kilograms of narcotics.
"El Hugo" has a criminal record for crimes against health, he had previously been arrested in September 2013 in Coyoacán, but he was released.
