MEXICO CITY — Roman Catholic authorities in Mexico
say a priest has been killed in the west-central state of Jalisco, the
second cleric slain in the country this week.

The
Catholic Multimedia Center says that 33-year-old Juan Miguel Contreras
Garcia was shot dead late Friday in Tlajomulco de Zuniga, on the
outskirts of Guadalajara.
It said Saturday that
early reports indicate he was killed by unidentified attackers in the
parish office while performing the sacrament of penance.
According
to the center, at least four priests have been slain in Mexico this
year and 23 have been murdered since 2012. It says Mexico leads Latin
America in the killings of priests.
On Wednesday, Rev. Ruben Alcantara Diaz was stabbed to death in his church on the outskirts of Mexico City.

Yeah yeah people can claim but only claim that the priest could have been "corrupt" but that itself can also be FALSE and just another excuse to justify their murder. Unless the murderer or commentators here have actual proof as to any priests actions what I, say stands.
Proof is also not "I, heard" or "some people said" which is hearsay!
Maybe he refused penance to a narco.I don't know if they do that but the Priest will say how many Hail Marys or prayers to say to redeem themselves but maybe 1 said F**K you to the Priest.Wasnt 1 murder in the penance box?

ReplyDeleteThe gov has flagrantly lowed the number of priests killed in Mexico. There are at least 3 dozen since 2010. in 2013 in two short months 5 priests killed in southern tamaulipas alone.
ReplyDeletemexico will manipulate cause of death eg "auto accident" in one case they declared as much even though the priests vehicle was never found. and some bodies are never located, so they suspnd in limbo, not dead ever even though they disappeared 5. 10, 20 years or longer.

I read the article, chivis, there is blame of "cartels" but the people that hate priests the most are corrupt local politicians usually the ones in power for getting denounced by priests, as happened with Cardinal Posadas Ocampo, and the murderers are usually their most trusted police officers and military, these days we know more and we know better than blaming "narcos".
